Chapter 1584
The Almighty Dragon General
To be honest, James was not confident in his abilities to cure Thea either.
There were no records in the medical book about conditions similar to Theaâs.
His only hope was for Crucifier to perform a miracle.
The two returned home together.
At home, James accompanied Thea for the rest of the day.
He initially planned to leave for Divine Sword Villa the next morning.
He remembered the information he had obtained from the Omniscient Deity. He would have to look for
the King if he wanted to know about Xavionâs whereabouts.
James pondered for a while and decided that he should settle this matter before heading to Divine
Sword Villa.
Early in the morning, he bid farewell to Thea and left the house. He headed to Peace Mansion and met
with the King.
The King had had his power stripped from him. Apart from his nominal title, he had no absolute
authority, nor was he needed in any meetings. All matters, regardless of their importance, were
handled by the candidates running for the title of King.
The King was also happy that he got to enjoy leisure time.
âKing, James has arrived.â
The King was reading a newspaper in the study when Gloom came over and reported respectfully.
âHeâs finally here.â
The King put his newspaper down and walked out.
James was waiting for the King in the living room.
Before he could see the King, laughter came from outside the room.
âYouâre finally here, James.â
James looked at the approaching King.
While on his way to Peace Mansion, James thought about what the King was trying to achieve.
Why was he hiding Xavion?
The King sat opposite him and asked with a smile, âI thought youâd really died in Malgudi. You sure are
a lucky one. What brings you here today?â
James did not beat around the bush and went straight to the point. âDo you know about the Yada
Sect?â
Hearing this, the Kingâs expression grew serious.
He looked at James and asked solemnly, âHow did you find out about the sect?â
James could tell from the Kingâs expression that the Yada Sect existed.
The person behind the Yada Sect was the King.
âNaturally, I have my ways. Why have you been hiding Xavion? What exactly are your motives?â
James could not figure the King out.
The information Xavion carried concerned many people.
The King was among these many benefactors.
However, the King still chose to keep Xavion hidden.
It was no wonder that no one could find Xavion, since the King was the one hiding him.
The Kingâs face softened, and he smiled at James. âYou sure are capable, James. You were even able
to find out about the sect. Iâm curious. How did you find out?â
âYou donât have to know.â
âFine, Iâll tell you the truth.â
Since James had brought it up, the King did not hide the truth from him. He answered honestly, âIâm
indeed keeping Xavion hidden. I tipped him off before Halvor could take action. With my help, he fled
and took cover before things could strike. No matter what was happening in the outside world, he
stayed hidden and never exposed himself.â
âAre you hiding him because you want his information?â asked James.
The King shook his head and said, âNo. Iâm hiding him because he holds crucial information about the
Z technology. Not only will this information affect Solâs development, but itâll also involve the worldwide
popularization and reach of the technology. Although I seemed to have allied with Halvor, I only did it
for show. The Z technology must remain within our country. I wanted to wait until the election was over
and a new King took office before releasing it in our country. That way, we could continue our research
and complete the Z technology as soon as possible. Then, Sol would be able to popularize the Z
network and make it the forefront of our worldâs technology.â
The King stated his goal and plan.
âIâve had everything planned out since the beginning. During the Mount Thunder Conference, I wanted
to kill all the ancient martial artists to prevent things from spiraling into what it is right now. However,
you stepped in and stopped me. This wouldnât have happened had you not interfered in the beginning.â
âHuff.â
The King sighed and said, âJames, I really shouldnât have listened to you back then. I shouldâve been
more ruthless and used even more powerful missiles to blow the Mount Thunder Sect to the ground.â
James listened carefully.
He understood that the King was faulting him for what had happened.
âIâll take care of it.â
