Chapter 1664
The Almighty Dragon General
One year had passed.
James had been searching for Thea for an entire year.
This whole time, he failed to find any news about Thea, but just when he was about to give up, he
suddenly learned of Theaâs current location.
âJames, Iâve seen Thea in the surveillance footage. Sheâs indeed at the Callahansâ villa,â said Henry.
James was beyond thrilled and could not find the words to express himself. He turned around and
quickly left the airport.
Henry chased after him and said, âJames, Iâll drop you at the Callahansâ villa.â
âAlright.â James nodded.
Henry escorted James to the Callahansâ villa.
At the Callahansâ villa.
âGrandpa, Dad! Weâve got a problem! Somethingâs happening outside!â
Tommy frantically ran over to the other Callahans.
At that moment, everyone was gathered around Thea, who was presently eating.
Lex stood up and pointed his cane at Tommy, reprimanding him, âWhere are your manners? Why are
you causing such a fuss? Canât you see Theaâs eating?â
âW-Wellâ¦â
Tommy pointed outside and said, âT-Thereâs tons of military vehicles are parked outside our house!â
âWhat?! Really?â
Lex was overjoyed.
The other family members also stood up.
The appearance of military vehicles meant that James was back.
The whole family rushed out to greet him.
Only Thea was left puzzled by the situation. She scratched her head and murmured, âWhatâs going on?
Whyâd everyone suddenly leave?â
She was starving right then, so she ignored them and continued eating.
James got out of one of the military vehicles parked outside the gate.
After he got out of the car, he immediately noticed the Callahans waiting at the gate for him. He hurried
over and asked, âIs Thea back? Has Thea returned home?â
None of the Callahans knew what had happened.
David nodded and replied, âYeah. Theaâs back, butâ¦â
Before he could finish speaking, James rushed into the villa.
James entered the house and saw an innocent-looking woman dressed in white seemingly engrossed
with her meal.
When he saw Thea, Jamesâ heart soared with elation.
He walked over excitedly and lifted her up,
âHuh?â
Thea was shocked at the man who suddenly rushed over and hugged her while she was in the middle
of eating. After a few seconds, she screamed and repeatedly hit Jamesâ shoulder.
âWhatâre you doing? Put me down!!!
âYou pervert!!!â
Thea beat his body and screeched at him.
James let go of Thea.
He looked at her and cried tears of joy.
âThea, youâre alive! Thank god⦠Thank god youâre still alive! Iâve been searching everywhere for you
during
the past year! Iâve climbed mountains and crossed rivers, but I couldnât find any traces of your
whereabouts. You donât understand how much it broke my heart.â
âHuh?â
Thea looked at the tearful man in front of her dumbfoundedly.
She thought to herself, âWho is this man?â
âMom!â
Seeing Gladys enter the house, she immediately called out for her.
Thea ran to Gladys and hid behind her. She poked out her tiny head and stared at James in the living
room. Then, she asked warily, âMom, whoâs this guy? Whatâs wrong with him? Heâs scaring me.â
âThatâs your husband, James.â
âPfftâ
Thea pouted and said, âNo way. How could I marry a man like that? My husband must be an upright
man. How could he be such a sloppy person? Look at him. His hair is so long. How long has it been
since he last cut it? Also, look at the sword heâs carrying. He looks like a criminal!â
Thea spouted scathing remarks about James.
James had given Thea a horrible first impression.
Hearing this, the Callahansâ jaws all hit the floor in shock.
Lexâs face immediately darkened.
The Callahansâ current status was only possible because of James.
Yet, here Thea was unable to recognize the man she married.
With one word from James, the Callahans would lose everything if he lost his patience.
Lex quickly interjected, âThea, heâs really your husband. Thatâs James. Take a closer look.â
Thea glanced at James once more.
