Chapter 1665
The Almighty Dragon General
However, the person before her did not exist in her memories.
âYouâre not my husband. Get lost.â
She pointed at James, and her pretty lips twisted into a frown.
James was dumbstruck and stared at her, frozen in shock.
âWhat happened to herâ¦?â
He composed himself after a few seconds and turned to the other family members.
David walked toward James and said in a hushed tone, âJames, weâre just as clueless as you. After
Thea returned, she seemed to have lost her memories. She only has memories of events before
eleven years ago. A few moments ago, she even mentioned needing to revise for her exams.â
James was stunned.
He stared at Thea.
Memory loss?
He walked over, took Theaâs hand, and checked her pulse.
âAhh! Whatâre you going? Let go of me, you pervert!â
Thea kept resisting, but James held firmly onto her hand.
It did not take long for him to understand Theaâs condition.
Theaâs body had recovered, and her blood had returned to normal. However, her neurons were
damaged
in the process, which caused her to lose her memories.
The brain is the most complex organ in the human body.
James could easily treat Thea if she sustained an injury literally anywhere else.
Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do for her for the time being since her cranial nerves had
been damaged.
Slap!
While James was grimacing pensively, he suddenly felt a sharp pain from his cheek.
Thea had slapped him hard in the face.
James came to his senses and turned to Thea.
âYou creep! Whatâre you doing? Get lost! Get out of our house!â Thea exploded hysterically.
ââ¦â
James wanted to say something but was at a loss for words.
David whispered, âJames, Thea doesnât remember you right now. Perhaps you should leave for now.
Otherwise, sheâs just going to get more and more furious.â
He pulled James out of the living room.
David reassured James outside the house, âJames, donât worry. Despite everything, youâre still my
brother-
in-law. Thea doesnât recognize you right now, but Iâm sure itâs only temporary. Iâm sure sheâll remember
who you are very soon. Even if she canât, no one would blame you for going after another woman.â
James could hardly wrap his brain around everything.
He was unsure of what had happened in the past year and who was the person who cured Thea.
At the same time, he had no idea why Thea had lost her memories.
He looked at David helplessly and said, âI guess I have no other option than to wait.â
After speaking, he departed and walked back to Henry.
Henry asked, âHow did it go, James? Did you see Thea?â
âI did. I saw her, butâ¦â
âWhatâs wrong? Quick, out with it. The suspense is killing me.â
James explained, Theaâs lost her memory and doesnât remember me.â
âWhat?â Henry was shocked.
âDonât give me that look. Hurry and get me a place to stay for the time being.â
âLetâs go to Common Clinic. Iâve kept it open for you since your last visit to Cansington a year ago.
Weâll head there immediately.â
âAlright.â
James was not picky, and where he stayed did not matter to him.
Soon, they arrived at Common Clinic.
James smoked a cigarette and asked worriedly. âHenry, what should I do now?â
âH-How would I know?â Henry replied equally at a loss for what to do.
Click! Clack! Click! Clack!
The neat clicking from a pair of heels suddenly interrupted their conversation.
James raised his head.
An attractive, tall woman with an elegant charisma walked into the clinic.
The woman wore a blue dress and had long black hair.
She had a breathtaking voluptuous figure.
âMaxine?â
James stood up and asked, âWhatâre you doing here?â
