Chapter 392
The Almighty Dragon General
Thea had no other choice.
At this point, all she could do was fork over the money and get this over with. Since this money came
from someone else originally, she did not feel as horrible about letting it go.
Gladys calmed down when Thea gave in to their badgering. She sighed, âThank you, Thea.â
Turning towards David, she addressed him sternly. âFrom today onwards, youâre not allowed to leave
the house without my permission.â
âYes, of course.â
David knew he had no choice but to agree.
After the heated discussion, Thea decided the best way forward was to pay off her brotherâs debts.
Knock! Knock! Knock!

A knock came from the door. âAnswer the door, Benjamin,â Gladys said to her husband. Benjamin
answered the door.
Aman and a woman in their mid-twenties stood outside.
The man was in a suit and tie.
The woman was in a professional outfit.
Benjamin looked at them and asked, âMay I know who youâre looking for?â
The man asked, âIs Thea Callahan here?â
âAh, yes and you are?â
The man replied, âGood day to you sir, weâre from the bank. Weâre here today to notify Thea regarding
the sum of money she has in her account.â
âAh, please come in.â Though Benjamin did not understand what was going on, he welcomed them in.
After letting them in, he called out, âThea, theyâre looking for you.â âWhat?â
Thea looked at them nervously. Then, she stood up and asked, âY-You are?â The man spoke, âHello,
Thea. Weâre from the bank. Hereâs the thing, Mr. Xenos made a slight mistake and accidentally
transferred a sum of 2 billion dollars into your bank account a while ago.â
The woman pulled some documents ago and said, âThis is the transfer record. Mr. Xenos had
wanted to transfer the money to a company, but it entered your bank account by mistake.â The man
continued, âThis sum of money doesnât belong to you. On behalf of the bank and Mr. Xenos, we urge
you to return it. Weâre here just to inform you. Soon, weâll transfer the money in your bank account bak
to Mr. Xenos. If youâve already spent some of it, ensure that you return it immediately. Otherwise, youâll
be prosecuted in court.â They their barrage of demands hit Thea like a truck.
Thea was rooted to her spot.
David, who was on the sofa, leaped up immediately and yelled, âBullsh*t. Mr. Xenos gave the money to
Thea himself. Who are you people anyway? Get lost. Iâm telling you, donât even think about getting a
single cent back!â
This sum of money was his lifeline.
What would he do about his debt without the money?
Without the money, he was as good as dead.
The man spoke simply, âWeâre here just to inform Thea. Thatâs it.â
Saying that, he turned to leave.
The woman followed suit.
Soon, only the Callahans remained. David pleaded tearfully, âPlease donât return the money, Thea. Iâll
be a dead man if i donât have it to pay my debt.â Thea sat on the sofa feeling more drained than ever.
She said in resignation, âThis money isnât mine in the first place. Mr. Xenos gave it to me because he
was fearful of the Black Dragonâs wrath. Now that the Black Dragon has resigned, itâs only natural that
heâd want it back.â âYou canât return it, Thea!â Gladys tried her best to persuade her, âHow are we going
to save David without the money?â
âI-I donât know either!â
Thea was at a loss.
Although it was Richard who transferred her the money, he was free to take it back whenever he found
it convenient. On top of everything, she only had 1.5 billion left on her card. Richard was demanding
she return the two million dollars. Even if she had transferred everything she was still 500 million short.
Sheâd be taken to court if she failed to return it. Shortly after the representatives of the bank left, Thea
received a notification from the bank. All money on her card was transferred away.
Richard must have been behind it.
Richard was an influential man. Demanding the bank to transfer the money on her card back to him
was a simple task. Without the money, the rest of the Callahans started panicking again.
âWhat are we going to do now?â
David yet again began to cry.
