Cathy sat beside Nell and accompanied her silently.

On the other side, Gideon, Gregory, and Vickie were sitting on the couch in the room next door. It was dead quiet.

After a very long time, Gregory took the initiative to break the silence.

He stared at Gideon coldly and asked, “What Jeff said just now, what is the meaning of it? Gideon, shouldn’t you explain it to us?”

Gideon glanced at him and only then did she understand that it was no longer useful to hide things anymore.

In the end, he could only let out a silent sigh.

“I admit, the other three Arcane Jades are in my hands.”

Gregory and Vickie were shocked by his words.

Gregory stood up inadvertently with a change of expression on his face but Vickie held him back.

Instead, she looked at Gideon and asked, “Why? I know you have unspeakable difficulties, but you should give us an explanation at least. All this while we’ve traveled around the world in search of the Arcane Jades, but you still chose to keep quiet and watched as we searched everywhere for it like a chicken with its head cut off even though you have it with you. It really disappoints us, you know that don’t you?”

Gideon said hoarsely, “I admit this is my fault, but do you know why Jeff was in a hurry to gather all the twelve Arcane Jades?”

Both of them were stunned.

In fact, up until now, they never knew why Jeff was in a rush to gather all of it.

Hence, they looked at Gideon blankly.

Gideon uttered in a deep voice, “Since both of you don’t know about it, then why not let me tell you a story.”

Then, he told them about the story of Jeff Flinders and Zeezee.

Gregory and Vickie were astounded after listening to Gideon because they never thought that such a thing would exist in this world.

Gideon nodded.

X-Organization?

Gregory was shocked when he said that.

“If he wants to bring Zeezee back to life, do you know where he needs to go so that it’s compatible with the Energy stone?”

Gregory and Vickie shook their heads.

Gideon answered in a deep voice, “The place where the meteorite crashed, which is the place that is covered with nuclear radiation.”

Both of them were stunned.

Gideon continued, “When the meteorite crashed, it caused such huge nuclear radiation that it infected the people nearby who either became sick or had left that place.

“So when we realized his objective and plan from the start, we immediately formed a team to stop him. However, he’s as cunning as a fox. We still failed to arrest him after so many years.

Gideon was so persuasive that everybody believed him.

Even though Gregory and Vickie were surprised, after his explanation, they were clear about the things that they did not understand earlier.

With a frown, Vickie spoke in a deep voice, “If that’s the case, the Arcane Jades cannot fall into his hands, but he’s now using Nelly to threaten us.

What should we do?”

“We can only play by ear.”

Since the decision was made, there was nothing more to discuss.

Not long after, the voices of someone speaking loudly came from outside.

Gregory could not listen to what the guys outside were saying clearly because the distance was too far and they were separated by a few walls.

However, they could roughly guess that it was Gideon’s subordinates who came back.

As expected, the men outside soon walked into the room.

“Follow me!”

Jeff laughed plainly when he saw that they were brought out.

“We already brought them out, now you can give me the things that I want.”

Now that Jeff had revealed his intention, he no longer concealed his schemes toward the Arcane Jades.

The people who stood in the hall looked at Gideon, and their faces changed.

As they were hesitating on what to do, Gideon said with a raspy voice, “Where are Nelly and Cathy?”

Gideon sneered.

“How do I know if you’ll keep your promise?”

Jeff thought for a moment like he was seriously considering his question.

He then replied after a while, “Why don’t we do it this way. I let my men bring them down, you pass me the things, and I’ll hand them to you. However, I need to make sure the things are genuine before I let them go. How about that?”

Gideon kept quiet for a moment before he answered, “Okay.”

Jeff then instructed his subordinates, and very quickly, Nell and Cathy were brought down.

Seeing Gideon again immediately turned Nell’s face pale.

Gideon looked at her in concern and only after he made sure that she did not have a single wound on her body was he relieved.

Jeff stretched out his hand again.

“Can you hand me those things now?”
