Chapter 1072
Spoiled by the President
Gideonâs subordinates glanced at him again.
Jeff had no choice but to let his subordinates release Gregory, Gideon, and Vickie.
However, Nell and Cathy were still in his hand.
Knowing how deep Gideonâs feelings were for Nell, Jeff was sure that Gregory would never stand by and allow something to happen to Nell.
So as long as Jeff kept Nell under his control, he did not need to worry if Gideon would play tricks.
Gideon nodded imperceptibly when his subordinates cast a questioning glance at him again.
His subordinatesâ faces turned cold as they handed over the box containing the Arcane Jades to Jeff.
Jeffâs eyes started to glow when he saw the box.
Greediness appeared on his face as Jeff raised his hand and received the box. Once he opened the box, all he saw was the three Arcane Jades that Gideon had snatched from him before.
Found it!
He finally found it!
At last, Jeffâs Zenzen could be saved. He had waited for so many years, and finally, the day that he could reunite with Zenzen was here.
He was so happy that he almost cried.
Jeff looked at Gideon and the others before he turned and ran out when nobody was paying attention.
Gregory was the first one to react as he subconsciously took a huge step forward and chased him.
However, Gideon stopped him.
âDonât chase!â
Gregory turned and looked at him in confusion.
Then, Gideon looked at his subordinates.
âAre the things installed?â
His subordinates nodded. âItâs on.â
âFollow him, see where he went.â
âYes.â
After all of his subordinates had left.
Only then did Gregory and Vickie react by asking curiously, âWhat did you do?â
Gideon smiled softly. âNothing much, just some tricks. Youâll know later.â
He did not explain in detail, but Gregory could see that he had planned something early on, so he was relieved.
At this moment, a womanâs grunting voice suddenly came from the side.
When Gideon looked back, his face changed immediately.
Nell was holding onto her stomach with her waist bent as she crouched on the ground. Cathy, who was beside her, was supporting her helplessly and frantically.
âNelly!â
Gideon shouted and held onto Nell. She looked at him and yelled, âMy stomach... My stomach hurts.â
There was blood running down her legs.
Gideon looked at it nervously before he carried her and dashed out.
âGet the car ready. Weâre going to the hospital!â
Since they were in the desert, the facilities were terrible and the hospital nearest to them was just a small health center in the town.
Gideonâs eyes were red as he looked at Nell, who was lying on the sickbed.
âNelly, hold on. Iâll call Sean, donât worry.â
Nell held his hand tightly. She was in such excruciating pain that she could not even utter a word.
Since Gideon did not dare to leave her side, he let Cathy call Sean instead.
Luckily, Sean knew where Cathy and Nell were, so he was already on his way there.
They reached the hospital in about half an hour.
Sean? Where was Sean?
Sean got to know how serious Nellâs situation was through the phone while he was on his way and because of that, Sean was a little anxious when he came over.
The people who were crowding the corridor automatically stepped aside and left a path for him, where Gideon rushed forward and grabbed Sean.
âSheâs in the operation theatre. I donât trust the doctors here. Uncle Miller, Iâm counting on you, you must...â
Sean waved his hand. âDonât worry, I understand.â
After he finished, Sean changed his attire and went into the operation theatre.
Looking at his empty hands, Gideon looked blank for a second. Only after a while did he quickly follow Sean into the operation theatre.
Nell was now pregnant for five months.
Her belly was much bigger than any normal pregnant woman because she was carrying a twin.
For the past few days, although she had tried to calm herself down, she did her best not to be affected so that nothing would happen to her babies.
After all, some things were out of her control.
So as soon as Nell saw that the deal was done and they were finally out of danger, she could not hold on to it anymore.
Since her body collapsed, her belly could not support it either.
That was why there were symptoms of miscarriage.
Sean was in there for a long time.
Nevertheless, Gideon had faith in his excellent medical skills.
Just the thought that Nell was the one lying there, Gideonâs heart involuntarily ached a little.
Nelly. Oh, Nelly.
Nothing would happen to her.
Gideon still had many things that he had not said or explained to her.
He owed her an apology for this incident.
So Gideon stayed by Nellâs side, holding her hand.
Cathy was worried too.
About half an hour later.
Finally, Sean breathed a sigh of relief.
âAll good. Sheâll be temporarily fine.â
By then, Nell had already fallen asleep because she was too tired and her body was too weak.
Sean wiped away the sweat on his forehead and looked at Gideon dubiously. He raised his hand, indicating that he wanted a word with him outside.
Only then did Gideon let go of Nellâs hand unwillingly, and he kept looking back at her as he followed Sean out of the operation theatre.
âUncle Miller, how is she?â
Gideon could not wait to ask Sean as soon as they got out of the operation theatre.
Gideon was relieved by what Sean said.
Not to go back to China was no big deal, and it was not an issue if they had to continue their stay in this town.
As long as Nell was alright, nothing would be a problem.
Gideon was so happy that he almost cried, and Cathy was relieved when she heard what the outcome was.
Meanwhile, Gregory and Vickie, who followed him here, patted his shoulder when they knew that Nell was alright.
âGood to know that sheâs fine now. Gideon, about Jeff...â
Then, Gideon remembered that there was still an unresolved matter.
His face sank.
The fight between Jeff and Gideon was not an issue, but since it involved Nellâs safety, it was not going to end well.
Evil grew deep in his eyes as he whispered, âIâll take care of it. Thereâs no need for you to worry.â
Gideon looked at Vickie at the same time.
âHowever, I got a question for you two.â
Both of them were startled.
Their instincts told them that Gideon might be up to no good.
However, there was no way that they could back out this time.
So both of them nodded.
âGo ahead.â
Gideon asked, âIf Jeff dies, and we canât find the Money Bead. Will you blame me?â
Gregory and Vickie were shocked.
They had never thought of this question.

Their silence gave Gideon an answer.
âTo be honest, Iâve installed a tracking device and a remote-controlled mini bomb in the Arcane Jades that I gave him.â
