Seeing that Gideon had come in, Cathy rubbed her red eyes and forced a smile. “You came. Why don’t you stay with her? I’m going out.”

With a nod, Gideon said sincerely, “Thanks, Cathy.”

Cathy waved her hands and did not say anything before she turned and left.

Gideon sat beside the sickbed.

The face of the woman lying on the bed was as white as a sheet, and there was a slight bulge under the blanket — it was their babies.

Gideon raised his hand and rested his palm lightly on her stomach.

At this moment, the woman on the bed suddenly snorted.

His whole body trembled as he stood up immediately, then he saw Nell opened her eyes slowly and looked at him weakly.

“Nelly, you’re awake?”

Gideon was so ecstatic that he held onto her hands tightly. He asked with concern, “Are you in pain? I’ll ask Uncle Miller to come immediately.”

Nell pulled him with her hands as he was about to leave.

“No need, Gideon...”

Gideon stopped and looked at her.

Nell asked, “Where’s Jeff? How’s he now?”

Gideon stiffened.

He did not expect that Jeff would be the first thing Nell would ask about when she woke up.

“He’s a pitiful man.”

Gideon did not say anything, but Nell suddenly frowned as she raised her hand and held on to her stomach.

Nell shook her head.

“I felt the babies move in my stomach just now.”

It meant that the babies were healthy and unharmed!

Nell looked at him deeply.

She did blame Gideon when she first learned about the truth.

Nell smiled with her paled face.

“I’ll wait for the day you tell me everything about the truth.”

Soon, everybody knew that Nell had woken up.
