Chapter 49
Back to the Past: Breaking the Love Spell
âYou donât have to worry about that. I have my ways to make sure that he listens to us!â
After all, Carlisle had the experience of working as a company salesman. When he first started that job,
his sales manager indoctrinated him with a moneyâmaking mindset every other day.
He applied the same approach to Owen. He was sure that he could keep him in control.
Carlisleâs phone sounded. It was the sound of his MSN messenger notifications.
It was another message from Sweet_like_candy.
âIs your girlfriend pretty?â
âHow old is she?â
âHow long have you both been together?â
âWhy arenât you replying to me?â
Carlisle watched as the messages came in consecutively. With a smile on his face, he typed his reply.â
What do these have to do with you?â
Sweet_like_candy: âIâm just curious!â
Bygones_b_bygones: âCuriosity kills the cat. Also, we donât know each other very well. Why do I have
to reveal so much to you?â
Sweet like candy: âWeâll know each other better soon enough. Iâll chat with you again tomorrow. But
you
must make sure that you answer todayâs questions by tomorrow!â
After that reply, Sweet_like_candyâs profile photo was changed to a gray image.
Carlisle chuckled. Then, he put his phone into his pants pocket.
Sean couldnât help but feel curious. He asked, âWho was it? That wasnât Sarah, was it?â
Carlisle twitched the corner of his lip. âHow could it be her?â
When he first reincarnated and gave up on Sarah, he still considered some of his classmatesâ feelings.
However, he was really disgusted after he attended Sarahâs college entrance celebration.
Sarahâs parents, in particular, were this close to threatening him with murder for money.
In this generation, congratulatory money was usually ten to 20 dollars. Carlisle had given them 100
dollars. Yet, they were not satisfied with that. The reason they gave was that he was using a cellphone
worth 4000 dollars for himself./
How ridiculously funny was that?
âThereâs a seafood restaurant up ahead. Letâs go and eatâ¦â
Seanâs gaze was fixed on the seafood restaurant up ahead. Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, he
spotted a woman standing at the bus stop. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a white shirt.
The woman was carrying her backpack in front of her. Next to her was a pink luggage. She looked
slightly
nervous.
âOh? Isnât that Lily Green?â Sean asked while staring straight at that woman.
Carlisle looked over. It was indeed Wandaâs deskmate, Lily.
All of a sudden, there was a loud rumble in Carlisleâs head.
Following that, an image came to mind.
A motorcycle stopped next to Lily. The pillion rider grabbed onto Lilyâs backpack, and the rider stepped
on the accelerator. Lily was dragged along for quite a distanceâ¦.
Until she rolled under a cement mixer truck and got rolled overâ¦
What⦠What was that?
Carlisle started seeing stars. The pain in his head was so severe that it felt as if someone had knocked
a
rivet into his head.
He put his hand on Seanâs shoulder to support himself. He looked up once again at Lily.
She was looking left and right anxiously.
What was that earlier? It all looked too real!
Was it a vision of the future?
He was someone who reincarnated. In some ways, he did have the ability to know the future.
Something wasnât rightâ¦
In his previous life, Lily got into Riverland University. Subsequently, she worked in a stateâowned
enterprise.
She was now near the University of Science and Technology. It was obvious that she was admitted into
the University of Science and Technology.
How was this so?
Carlisleâs head raced as he thought hard about it.
A moment later, his pupils constricted.
Lily was Wandaâs deskmate. In the previous life, she was able to get into Riverland University because
she had Wandaâs guidance.
However, after Carlisle was reborn, he switched places with Lily. Thus, she was unable to receive
Wandaâs guidance and only got into a/Tier 2 University.
His rebirth changed Lilyâs history.
As for his ability to see the future, it probably only applied to those whose history was being changed
