Chapter forty five

“I just spoke to Lucian!” I sat up with a frown.

“Oh my gosh. Ri!” She smiled sheepishly.

“Sorry” She apologised seating on the bed

“Gosh. I need to sleep” I groaned laying back down on the bed, burning my head in my pillow. Ri pulled me back up.

“Lucian just told me he was taking you out this night. You didn't tell me” She accused.

“Because I was sleeping,” I said my face still in my pillow.

“Get up. You need to get ready”

“I needed to sleeppp” I complained. She stood up from the bed. I sighed repositioning myself so I could go back to bed. Before I knew what was happening my whole face was wet and my bed was drenched in water. I groaned standing up.

“I’m up! Argh,” She laughed.

“Sorry about the water but you have less then two hours to get ready” She announced. I glared at her so she stopped talking.

“Sorry” She added quickly.

“It’s fine. I'll just clean up first. Help me with my dress will you?” I begged. She agreed to help me immediately.

“Of course” She replied going to my closet as I went into the bathroom. I still felt tired after all the sleep I have had so I didn't try to rush myself. I brushed my teeth as slowly as I wanted and I didn't rush myself into the bathroom. When I was done Henrietta already laid three outfits on the bed. I stared at all the three outfits then went with the outfit that has more black it.

Who doesn't love black?

“Thank you, Ri” I thanked her leaning towards her as I placed a kiss on her cheek. She smiled when I did this.

“My pleasure,” She said trying to dismiss that her helping again tonight was not a big deal.

I stared at myself in the mirror for a while.

“Are you sure this is not too much?” I asked not so sure about this outfit.

“It’s perfect. You will be warm” She answered.

“Yeah. Do you know where he's taking me?” I asked. I don't want to wear the wrong outfits.

“He didn't tell me but I know this outfit is perfect for tonight” She promised. I nodded deciding to just go with my with the long-sleeved shirt that had something like feathers at the wrist with the black jacket on the shirt and a matching short skirt with the booths that reached my knee.

“If I don't fit in with these perfect outfits of yours I'm going to kill you” I threatened.

“You can change if you don't feel comfortable” She proposed.

“No. I love this outfit I just don't want to be overdressed” I explained my concern to her.

“I can leave you an extra outfit in his car if in case you feel the need to dress down” She offered. I smiled before hugging her.

“Thank you” I thanked her. She packed me another outfit in a bag while I tried to get my hair together.

“Anything for you. I'm just going to drop this in his car” She kissed my cheeks and left with the bag. I finished my hair shortly after she left so I just opened the door to leave to avoid her having to stress and walk back up.

“Are you ready?” I gasped in shock when I met a guard standing in front of me. I looked at him wearily before replying.

“Huh_ I guess so” I responded following him. I met with Ri on my way out.

“Have fun” She blew me a kiss and I left for the car. It was already dark outside. He opened the door and I entered the back seat.

“Thank you for agreeing to spend time with me” I jumped.

“Lucian!” He chuckled but I couldn't see his face clearly.

“Sorry” He laughed.

“You scared me! Did you see Ri?” I quickly asked. What will he think of me bringing extra clothes because I wasn't sure If I dressed right for the occasion? I could not see what he was wearing either so I could not judge if I was wearing the right thing. I could try to use my wolf's vision but I think she's been stressed enough for this month I've been here.

“Yeah. She dropped something but made me promise not to look” She said to me pointing to the bag.

“Ok,” I mumbled.

The drive did not take long. Ten minutes I think. As soon as we got to where he was taking me she helped me out of the car. The place was like an open field so there were lights on the trees which made it easy to see. I looked at his outfit then realized I was indeed overdressed.

“You can leave” He instructed the driver after he carried the bag.

“How do we get back?” I asked staring at him.

“I have something planned. How well do you love watching movies?” He asked pulling into his warm embrace.

“I used it but it's been very long since I watched something” I confessed.

“Then consider today your first time in a very long time” He announced.

“Uhm_ I need to do something real quick” I rushed snatching the bag from him. Not the ideal reaction but I could not help it. This place was surrounded by trees so I just ran for two minutes before I stopped. I quickly removed my the jacket before wearing a thin knee-length body hug floral gown. I removed the short skirt. The booths stay. I removed my hair from the high ponytail using my hands to comb through. I folded the skirt and the jacket in the bag before I finally added the big sweater Ri left for me to be warm. When I was done with that I walked back to meet Lucian still standing where I left him.

“Change of outfit? You looked beautiful with the first outfit” He complimented but I gave him a look. Just the first outfit?

“I mean you do look very beautiful still. You always look beautiful. Why did you feel the need to change” I glared at him? His he really going to pretend he doesn't know.

“Ok. Maybe you were a little overdressed” I laughed at the way he said it holding his hands.

“I won't forgive you if I miss my first movie in years” I reminded him.

“We don't want that, do we?” He helped to a clearer part where I saw other people. Each blanket had two people. I looked up to realise we were going to have one of those outside movie thing together.

He already had someone for us and we both laid down. I was resting on his chest as the movie started.

We were an hour into the movie when I started to feel hot. I removed the sweater. Lucian looked at me concerned.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s getting really hot” I complained.

“What do_” He stopped halfway looking up.

“Shit! I didn't realise today was a full moon. I'm so sorry” I could see in his eyes that he was panicking. I'm the one in heat, I should be panicking!

“I need to get to the packhouse” I groaned when I started feeling pains in my lower belly.

“I wanted to take you back in my wolf” He examined. Shit!

“We can't do that now!” I yelled at him.

“I’m going to call Henrietta” He quickly said looking for his phone. He found it and placed a call.
