Chapter seventy three

I felt air loss in my lungs. Struggling to breath I jumped awake. The room was dark. I touched the bed only to find out that Lucian is not beside me. A shadow was standing across me. I struggled to get my brain working to cast a spell. I murmured the spell Lucy thought me to use whenever I am in trouble and I don’t know how powerful my attacker is.

“Shit!” The very familiar shouted. Their hands dropping on to their side. I used this chance to run to the door. Before I could open it I was dragged back. My back hitting the ground. I felt a bone crack. Nothing that won’t heal now.

I held out my hand and used a spell to make only the hand of my attacker to burn. That seems to be their power source. I switched on the light with my second hand only to find Henrietta on the floor.

“What the hell Henrietta? Were you trying to kill me?” I screamed at her.

“What is happening here?” Lucian barged into the room. His face looking all healed.

“You’re hurting her” Lucian pushed me aside careful not to hurt me but hard enough for me to lose concentration.

“She fucking tried to kill me in my sleep” I told him. Lucy and Jack were already in the room. He probably called them through the individual mind link.

“What’s going on here” Lucy looked between Henrietta, Lucian and me.

“She tried to kill me in my sleep” I told her. Lucy faced Henrietta.

“What is your issue Rietta? Since the news of this war you’ve been different. What is wrong?” Lucy asked. How is anyone still this calm with her.

“Why did you try to kill Raina?” Lucian walked over to her and held her up.

“ANSWER ME!” He screamed at her.

“She should have fucking listened to me. I won’t let her find out the truth”

“What truth? Answer my fucking question. Tell me why you tried to kill my mate” It was his wolf speaking now.

“It started when I was chosen_”

AUTHOR’S TRUTH

“Why did she pick me?” Abigail cried to her husband as she watched her three years old daughter, Eirene play by herself at the dining

“I’m sure it’s for a good cause. Look on the bright side, you get a lot of amazing abilities”

“I could die” Abigail panicked.

“The moon goddess won’t let that happen” Angus told his wife.

“I’m so scared”

“I’ll be here with you forever Abigail” Angus promised his wife.

“I love you” Abigail kissed her husband.

“Will you get dressed and let’s go out” Angus said.

“Yes” Abigail smiled leaving her child and Angus as she went to get ready.

Abigail and Angus left their child with their neighbor as they went out to have time alone together.

“You know recalling what you said, I do have some amazing abilities now”

“Don’t get too distracted Abigail, you’re still a witch and part werewolf” Abigail frowned at her husband. Why did he keep reminding her to be careful? Their dinner was silent as they both enjoyed the meal that was served to them.

“My love” Angus said at the end of the meal.

“Hmm” Abigail was drinking her last sip of while content with how the night went.

“I think we should give Eirene to your brother when the BLEHHEIM is here” Angus said to his wife who was not angry.

“Why?” She asked unable to hide her anger.

“To protect her. We don’t want her getting hurt during the war. We will send him far away and keep her safe. Her true identity will be hidden from the world”

Years later the moon goddess told Abigail that it was time for the battle. Abigail as a mother cried hard as her brother took her first fruit from her never to be seen again. Unfortunately for the couple Abigail gave birth to another child who was destined to carry chaotic powers because of the bitterness that dwelled in the heart of her mother when she was birthed. Abigail and Angus had to give this second child, AHRIMAN to Abigail’s sister as soon as she was born during the first BLEHEIM that only five packs were involved. She never saw her children again.

Ten years later was when the moon goddess eventually deem it fit to start the real war. Without her two children Abigail said she had nothing to fight for. Her relationship with her husband was ruined because she had no compassion left in her soul.

Abigail and Angus fought the battle with all strength they had. Angus was killed. This made Abigail furious. Why did the moon goddess decided to pick her and destroy her whole family because she wanted the werewolf community to be one. This was never going to happen.

“Abigail the great warrior thank you for your dedication to better the werewolf race” The moon goddess said to Abigail.

“I want to go back and be young again and be with my first child as a friend” Abigail said.

“You are asking the impossible my child”

“After everything I did? My one request you cannot grant?” Furious Abigail asked standing up to moon goddess.

“My child as for anything else but this I cannot grant you”

“Why?”

“It is against the law of life” Abigail furiously left the place.

She took three days to herself when everybody was still joining new packs she found a way to give herself life again but she had to take the life of whose body she was going to take. To be able to get her wish Abigail went back to the moon goddess and begged for forgiveness.

“I knew you were smarter than that. I’m glad you came to your senses”

“Me too. I am so sorry for my outburst” Abigail apologized again.

“For this why don’t I tell you who your second child, AHARIMAN is going to be mated with?” The moon goddess offered.

“Why will you do this for me?”

“Because you my dear her a very special wolf to my heart. Your daughter who does not know how you look will be mated to the son of ALPHA RANDOLFR OF MOON HOWLER, LUCIAN RANDOLFR” The moon goddess told her. Abigail thanked her very much and left happily.

With this information Abigail faked her own death to her people and killed the daughter of an Alpha. Her name was HENRIETTA. Abigail took this name and body and went to the moon howler for protections. The pack took her in.

Unknowing to Abigail the moon goddess decided to match her second daughter with the son of the BETA, JACKSON so she would be with her daughters again. She erased the detailed image of Abigail from EIRENE.

WITH THIS GREAT CLASH OF INTENT Abigail found herself with her two daughters regretting her decisions of years ago and she now lived trying her best to keep the secret from her two children, AHRIMAN AND EIRENE, GODDESSES OF CHAOS AND PEACE.

“What? You killed that innocent child because of your own selfishness!” Lucy was beyond furious.

“You’re telling me Sofia and Gabriel are not my bath parents? What about the visions I saw? The story is completely opposite” I asked.

“I wanted to keep you confused” She confessed.

“Did you think you could have lived with this lie forever?” Jack was really angry. I never saw him this angry.

“I was a desperate mother who wanted to see her children” Henrietta cried.

“NO! You were a power driven monster who thought the whole world owed her because she fought a battle” I screamed at her.

“It was difficult to let go of you two. It broke my heart and Angus’”

“You killed that poor girl” Tears dropped from my eyes as I angrily struck her with fire from my hand”

“What were you planning to achieve from this? You knew someone else will be chosen?”

“I love you girl so much. I want you to forgive me”

“I refuse to call you my mother. You are EVIL and you should be punished” Lucy said.

“Why?” Everybody turned to Lucian who had been silent all along.

“Why did you pick that girl and not somebody who was already dead?” He asked.

“I don’t know. Love made me do it. I didn’t think clearly”

“LOVE?! You think all you did was out of love? You just wanted to satisfy yourself”

“You do not understand the love of a mother” She cried.

“NO, you do not understand it. Henrietta was somebody’s child and you killed her!”

“Why didn’t you leave when you found out the wrong daughter was here. All those years you must have known Raina was supposed to be the one here and one day she was going to come” Lucian asked carefully again.

“Shut up Lucian. You do not understand any of this. Do not question me!” She rose from the ground using magic to fling Lucian across the room.

“How did you hide your magic?” Lucy questioned.

“You all are not ready to accept me as one of you so I have to end you all”

“What are you going to say happened?” Jack asked.

“I’ll come up with a story” She stupidly replied.

“A story where you alone survived? You must be smarter than that” I mocked.

“You have no idea. Join me AHRIMAN. Your powers are for chaos do you really think she’s going to accept you as a sister?” She asked.

“I do not care”

I saw Lucian crawl carefully behind her so I kept quiet telling Lucy to get her heirloom through the mind link. She left in a flash.

“Join me now my dear child and let’s escape this place” She said again.

“I don’t know who you are anymore” Lucy was back.

“Where is the last heirloom” Lucian was strangling her from behind now demanding for the last heirloom.

“You are a bunch of children given too much power than they can handle” She mocked.

“Answer the question!” Jack demanded.

Suddenly there was a bright light coming from both Lucy and me. I held out the HILT which was bright together with the straight sliver necklace that Lucy held. Together these two pieces became a sword falling straight to the ground. I quickly picked it up. It was warm. I pointed it at her.

“What is the last heirloom?”

“Why would I be stupid enough to tell you? You hold his weak child” With that she pushed Lucian off her.

I thought so hard. What could it possibly be?

“Hold her down” I told Lucy. Lucy used her magic to hold her in placed. I paced around when someone said.

“YOU ARE. YOU ALONE CAN USE THE SWORD” It was no doubt the moon goddess. She wasn’t my current favorite person in the world but I sure needed that help. I wouldn’t have thought that was it. As I wanted to face them a body hit me making me fall. It was Lucy.

“She’s fucking powerful” She groaned standing up. I helped her up holding the sword in my other hand. Jack and Lucian were hopelessly fighting her. They were no match of course.

“I need you to hold her down while I kill her. Can you do that?” I whispered.

She nodded.

Getting to position she held out her hand holding her down before she could hit Jack and Lucian again. I moved closer carefully. I lifted the sword to twist in her when I was suddenly pushed back with Lucy.

“Enough of this child’s play” She held us up with her magic strangling us without touching us like she was doing at midnight when all this started.

“Fire. Ice?” I asked Lucy through the mind link. She nodded in agreement.

“On three. One, two”

Together Lucy and I stretched our hands we were once using to hold our necks forward. I let the fire get very hot on her and Lucy used ice. The immediate contact of these two is never good news. This made her falling shouting.

“Hold on Lucy” I yelled running to pick up the sword. I picked it up and ran towards her. As soon as I dug the sword inside her she screamed louder grabbing unto my wrist tight.

“You’re coming with me” She smiled digging her claws into my wrist deep. I didn’t realize she had her claws out. I moved away from her quickly and joined Lucy who was now burning her to the ground.

As soon as she stopped screaming and her body turned to ashes Lucian screamed.

“Raina. You’re getting pale”

“I’m fine” I smiled hugging him tight.

“You’re not. You’re bleeding” Lucy rushed to me and pulled me away from Lucian.

“She did something to you Raina” Lucy was panicking. I was suddenly feeling light. As I fell Lucian caught me in his arms as he knelt on the floor. Blood was everywhere. My nose, mouth, eyes. I was feeling the life drain from me slowly.

“And I’ll ask for you again in the next life. I LOVE YOU Lucian” I forced out. Lucian was in tears as he held on tight to me.

“No, don’t tell me you love. You can’t leave me” Lucy and Jack were kneeling beside me holding me and I knew, this was it.
