Forced To Marry The King
I was finally going to see that woman in the village again. I want to know what she gave me, I knew I should've have trusted my gut. I knew I shouldn't have drank that vial.
I sat in the carriage watching the outside blur past me. I wasn't really paying attention so when I felt somebody grab my chin I jumped.
"I asked you a question, my queen." Alexander said harshly gripping my chin with his soft fingers. He looked so angry, I didn't understand.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't listening." I said fearfully, my voice cracking for a moment.
He let go forcefully causing my head to turn slightly. He rolled his eyes very discreetly but I still saw.
"Obviously, so my question I asked you was what is so important that you had to go back to the village?"
I froze unable to answer.
"Well, I had nothing to do..." I started but he interrupted me. "Yes, yes, I know you would've been bored but I know when somebody truly wanted, no, needed something," he grabbed my wrist. "And I don't like it when people lie to me".
I gulped and he was probably enjoying the fear he saw in my eyes. Thankfully the carriage stopped, indicating we were now in the village.
Alexander stepped out then myself, offering his hand to me. I saw the shops lined up and markets with bustling people.
"Do not wander or I will punish you," Alexander said emphasizing his statement by harshly saying will. I just nodded and saw the bakery.
"Can I go see the bakery please? I was never able to have sweets and pastries back home." I was not lying I have honestly never probably had a sweet in my life.
"You went there last time, and no. You can have those things at the palace." He said walking into the shop he had business with.
"Stay by the carriage and do not wander." Alexander said walking off with 2 guards behind him. I nodded and went up to the horses petting them, unable to resist.
"Excuse me (my name is margo, sry obsessed anyway back to the story)" a woman came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder.
Then it dawned on me who she was.
"You are the woman who gave me that vial at the bakery" I said.
"Yes, it helped didn't it?" The woman asked but it sounded more of a statement. "I don't remember anything that night, what was that?" I asked keeping my voice low.
"Nothing, anyway I have something for you to give to the king." She said giving me a small bottle looking like water.
She shoved it into my hands and walked away. But whispered as she walked.
"He'll pay and you will suffer."
But I didn't hear what she said.
Sry everyone I've been very busy but I will be updating now.
