Forced To Marry The King
I barely spoke to Alexander since we met. He gave off a powerful aura and I could tell my parents felt threatened yet relieved that they now had such a powerful ally.
When it was time for bed I put on my nightgown and laid in my bed for hours. My life would change tomorrow. For better or worse, I'm unsure.
I was awoken by the maids shaking me awake. They put my hair up and did my makeup. It was simple and natural but had a dramatic touch. The dress was gorgeous but the top was tied extremely tight. The veil trailed 3 feet on the ground behind my dress.
They all told me it was time for me to head to the ballroom where the wedding was taking place.
My father waited for me in front of the large doors. I took his arm and was about to walk but he stopped me.
"Don't ever think about coming back. You are his problem. And if you do, then a tragic accident will come your way." My father said to me gripping my arm extremely tight. I nodded my head not looking him in the eye.
When the music began we descended into the ballroom decorated with flowers. My father had a fake look of sadness on his face as he gave me to my future husband. When he sat down so many people whispered to him that it would be okay.
After saying our vows and such Alexander slipped a simple silver band onto my finger that had a small diamond. I slipped on his gold band.
He had his ring brought from his kingdom instead of accepting the one from my kingdom. His kingdom is not only the strongest but the richest and largest.
I was happy because the one my family would have given him would have been fake like this one is.
After dancing and many thanks given to us it was time for me to leave. Everyone left and Alexander escorted me to the carriage but he rode his horse.
