Chapter 1053 Have You Been Eating Well?

When Nicholas saw it, he immediately pulled Tessa into his embrace and cooed, saying, “Oh, you silly girl. Why would you cry over such a thing?”

Listening to his words, Tessa sniffled and said with a muffled voice, “I’m not crying. I’m just touched, that’s all.” Although she tried to explain that she was not crying, the truth was that she felt blessed to have him in her life.

In just a split second, the show was coming to an end. At the same time, Tobias and Stefania were coming to Vienna too. Initially, Tessa wanted to pick them up along with Nicholas, but he insisted that she stay at home since he didn’t want her to get exhausted. In the end, Tessa obliged and prepared some drinks and desserts at home while waiting for them.

An hour later, Tessa knew Nicholas was back with his parents when she heard the car’s engine from outside the manor.

After a while, Stefania’s voice filled the living room. “Grandma is here, my darling grandson.”

When Gregory heard her voice, he noticed he was in a familiar embrace, which caused him to be startled momentarily. Then, he smiled sweetly and said, “Grandma!”

Hearing his soft voice, Stefania was in awe as she hugged and kissed him tightly. After all, she usually saw Gregory only through her phone. Now that she could see him in person, it was only natural that she showed affection to him dearly.

“Did you miss me?” she asked Gregory.

Gregory was a clever kid, so when he heard her words, he sugar-coated his words to make her happy.

“Of course, I’ve missed you dearly.” He then asked, “Are you in good health, Grandma? Did you take good care of yourself?”

While Stefania and Gregory were getting along, Tobias was jealous as he saw their interactions. “It seems like you only care for Grandma and miss her. Did you not miss me at all, Gregory?” he said.

Immediately, Gregory said nothing but sweet things to Tobias, “Nonsense, Grandpa. Of course, I miss you too. I miss you so much.” His sweet words brought joy to Tobias.

At that moment, Tessa walked out with drinks in her hands. Then, she saw such a heartwarming scene between the trio.

On the other hand, Nicholas saw her out of the corner of his eyes and quickly went to help her. His actions brought attention to the elderly couple’s attention as they looked at her.

When Tessa noticed their gazes, she said obediently, “Hello… Dad and Mom.”

Although the elderly couple had monotonous expressions on their faces, they still nodded their heads in acknowledgment of her words. However, Tessa didn’t mind as she smiled while bringing the drinks and desserts toward them. “I made some desserts when I knew that you two were coming. Here, have some,” she said.

As soon as her words fell, Stefania frowned her eyebrows in disagreement and said, “I don’t think you should do this as you are six months pregnant now.”

Listening to his wife’s words, Tobias also nodded in agreement. “There are chefs in the house, and we will call for them if we want anything. You don’t have to do such a thing,” he said.

Although their words were not that pleasant to hear, Tessa knew they were concerned about her, so she didn’t feel upset about it. Instead, she nodded obediently and said, “I rarely cook. It’s just that you guys are here, so I wanted to do something for you guys.”

When Tobias and Stefania heard her words, they knew she cared about them, so they said nothing more. Then, Stefania changed the topic and asked, “Is the baby doing well these days?”

“Yes, he is doing great. He seems to have endless energy every day and loves to play with Gregory,”

Tessa replied. Then, she shared some exciting things about the baby with Stefania.

When Stefania heard it, she was excited and kept looking at Tessa’s stomach without averting her gaze. However, the more she looked at it, the more strange she felt. Tessa is already six months pregnant, yet she looks so skinny, she thought. Then, she asked, “Have you been eating well lately?

You look so skinny. It will be hard for you if you have a baby in this state.”

Seeing that Stefania was worried, Tessa smiled and said, “I’m fine. I’ve been eating more than usual, but I’m still skinny for some reason.”

“Really?” Stefania looked at her doubtfully.

“It’s true.” Tessa nodded. “If you don’t believe me, ask Nicholas. He can prove it.”

Nicholas, who was quiet during the entire conversation, nodded as he heard her words. “Don’t worry, Mom. Tessa has been eating a lot, and she is perfectly fine,” he said.

When Stefania heard his words, she was at ease.
