Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
The amusement park wasn't as crowded as last time which was probably due to the cool weather. It was only the start of November, but the Halloween decorations had already been replaced by Christmas decorations.
Since Jisung liked this season, he was excited to see it. Minho on the other hand was unimpressed at the snowmen which were displayed in most of the corners of the place.
All he could think of while looking at them was that he wanted to punch the shit out of them and get rid of their weird carrot noses.
Jisung noticed that he was distracted and looked around a lot as if he was searching for something. Minho had been doing it ever since they had left the house, but he didn't know why.
His attention was soon captured by his colorful surroundings. He forgot about Minho's strange behavior and instead focused on the large rollercoasters towering over the small attractions.
He was giddy like a child, didn't know where to go first, and his joy didn't stay unnoticed for long.
"You're happy today," Minho commented amusedly. "Why don't you pick a ride now."
"I would, but it's so hard to choose." They stopped on a large square surrounded by several buildings that housed either souvenir shops or attractions.
Each looked interesting to Jisung, and that didn't make his decision making easier. His eyes moved over the haunted house and got stuck on something behind it.
"Oh, do you see that boat swing over there?" He said and pointed at a large ship nearby. "That seems fun! Let's try it together!"
When Minho failed to answer, Jisung questioningly glanced at him only to see him glaring at it. His glare was so hot, it wouldn't be surprising if it melted the entire boat swing.
"Minho, are you okay? If that makes you feel uncomfortable or scared, you don't have toâ"
"No, I am perfectly fine, and I will join you," he insisted stubbornly, though his gaze darkened the closer they got to the boat swing. "As if I was scared," he snorted.
He ended up scaring a few other visitors with his death glare, so they had an entire row of seats to themselves. As soon as he sat down, he held on to the metal rail in front of him tightly
Jisung on the other hand, happily smiled to himself, anticipating the ride. "This is going to be amazing!" He gushed.
"If you say so," Minho grumbled, sitting stiffly in his seat.
The boat began to move back and forth slowly, but the higher it rose, the faster it became. Jisung giggled, raising his arms in the air and enjoying the wind in his hair.
He squealed when the boat reached its highest point before it descended so fast, his stomach dropped.
Minho was quiet. So quiet that at first, Jisung completely forgot about him. His face looked green and he pressed his lips together furiously. They formed a firm line.
The swing slowed down after a while and then stopped. They got up and left the ride, Minho staggering a bit since his legs were wobbly and he was dizzy.
"Minho, you good?" Jisung asked concernedly once they left and returned to the street leading through the park.
"Never been better," he replied through clenched teeth, his body stiff as a board.
"Are you sure? We could sit down for a while," he suggested.
Minho shook his head and proceeded to walk on like nothing was wrong. "As long as you enjoyed it, it was worth it," he muttered under his breath.
"You're sweet," Jisung whispered. "Even though you don't look like it." The more time he spent with Minho, the easier it became to understand why they were lovers.
Minho was grumpy, had a huge ego, and was arrogantâthe total opposite of Jisung. But despite their differences, they were able to click with each other well.
And even though Jisung had forgotten about Minho, the latter didn't give up on him. The thought of this flattered Jisung. His heart swelled in his chest as tiny butterflies fluttered in his stomach.
