Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
Not much later, Jisung made up an excuse about having to take care of something and left the house.
Minho thankfully didn't question him, but he looked a bit confused about his sudden departure.
When Jisung arrived in Seungmin's flat, he was greeted by the other demons who had already been anticipating his arrival.
"Why did you want to meet us all of a sudden?" The demons gushed.
"I need to ask something," Jisung said and walked past them into Seungmin's flat without waiting for an invitation.
"What is it?" Seungmin asked and leaned against the wall, gazing at the human with a raised eyebrow.
"What do demons do when they celebrate their birthdays?" He asked without beating around the bush.
Chan's jaw dropped. He gaped at him before he let out an amused snort. "Birthday?" he chuckled. "This is about Minho, huh?"
"How did you know?"
"Who else would it be about?" Chan grinned slyly. "It's rare for you to ask us for advice. Looks like you care for your boyfriend so much. Cute."
Jisung clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Don't rub it in my face. I don't know too much about demon traditions and he seems to look forward to it."
"Well," Felix started. "If we're talking about Minho; he doesn't really give a damn about fancy celebrations. A simple cake and a group of friends with him is all he needs."
"Hmm, a cake, huh... That sounds like a great idea."

The days passed by in a blur. It was already Thursdayâone day before Minho's birthday. The night was cool, the breeze calming. A total contrast to the scene inside Seungmin's flat...
The kitchen looked like a war zone. In their attempt to make a strawberry shortcake together, they had created a mess with the ingredients.
"Felix, this isn't flour! This is fucking baby powder!" Seungmin yelled and held in the urge to strangle the said demon. "How could you mess up this badly?!"
"Jisung, I told you not to open the baking soda yet!" Chan nagged. "It was so obvious you would knock it over!"
"It was an accident. Also, you knocked over the milk!" he shot back.
"But that was because I flinched when you suddenly broke the cup! What are you, Hulk?! How is that possible with your bare hands?"
"Guys!" Felix complained. "Shut the hell up. We need to clean up before we can finish this," he sighed and bent down to pick the glass shards up.
Jisung couldn't help but chuckle at the entire situation. They had just planned to make a simple cake, and now half of the ingredients were all over the floor.
Tedious minutes passed before they had finished cleaning the entire place. They all took several ingredients, put them in a bowl, and Jisung mixed them to make the cake batter.
While Felix turned on the oven, he buttered the cake pan and dusted it with flour before pouring the batter into it.
"So far so good," he mumbled and glanced at the clock to check until when it had to stay in the oven. He set an alarm on his smartphone just to make sure he wouldn't forget about it.
"Good job, everyone," Jisung remarked and heaved a relieved sigh.
While they waited until they could remove the cake from the oven, they began to clean up the kitchen, keeping the ingredients they used and getting rid of the mess they had created.
By the time the cake got out of the oven, the kitchen was spotless and a delicious smell was present in the air.
Jisung added the pink strawberry cream once the cake had cooled down, the other demons looking curiously over his shoulder.
At last, he decorated their creation with a few strawberriesâand then it was done. "Perfect," he whispered. "I hope Minho would love this. Thanks for your help, everyone."
