Against all odds - Minsung [✔]
Boring. That was what the hospital life felt like to Jisung. The only things he could do were read or watch tv, but since he couldn't concentrate on either, he would eventually give up and stare at the white ceiling.
He still couldn't accept the fact that all those seemingly real events that happened between he and Minho were just a dream.
Tears pooled around his eyes as he thought about it. The sweet moments they shared together and the happiness he felt weren't real.
Maybe he was quite silly to think that Minho would love him back. Hadn't the demon already made it clear before he left?
Jisung was nothing more but a burden to him.
He stood in front of the wall mirror, eyes focused on the cast he wore on his wrist. It always got in the way whenever he had to do something.
"May I enter?" Jisung flinched and immediately wiped his tears away when he heard Changbin's voice right outside the door.
"Yes." The angel entered the room and greeted Jisung with a warm smile. "I bought you grilled cheese from the cafeteria," he said.
Jisung shook his head. "No thanks. I'm still full."
"But, you haven't eaten since yesterday. Starving yourself won't do any good to your health. You might even die if you keep this up."
"Well, that would be even better," he shot back. "I'd get to see Minho in hell once I die. And then we can be together... again... forever."
Changbin sighed and creased his forehead. "I could see that you really love him, but I think you should move on. I know that it hurts to let go, but sometimes it hurts more to hold on."
"Can you leave me for a moment, please?" Jisung pleaded annoyedly.
"Fine. I'll leave your food here on the desk in case you ever find yourself starving. I'm gonna take my leave now, goodbye."

After their conversation, Jisung had decided to take a rest. But doing so was hard. His thoughts ran around what Changbin had just told him.
He hated to admit it but he was convinced that Changbin was right. He shouldn't keep holding on to someone who he had already lost.
Maybe letting go of Minho was for the best. But how should he even start? Forgetting about him was hardâ
When he suddenly heard a faint sound, he strained his ears and found out that it was a voice. He opened his eyes and looked around the room.
He was alone though. Nobody else was there. The sound probably originated from the hallway or somewhere else outside the room.
When he listened again, he heard a male voice calling out to him. He couldn't probably make out the words he was hearing as they were muffled in his ears.
Wrist... wrist... you... cast... open... remove...
Maybe he was only imagining it. A side effect of his medications, perhaps? But, the longer he listened to it, the clearer the voice becameâit belonged to Minho.
Jisung, you have to wake up! You are under a spell!
Look at your wrist! It will bring you back to the reality!
To be continued...
