Special Chapter: Dawn of a nightmare

Against all odds - Minsung [✔]

Seungmin stood in front of the worst nightmare of his entire life. Never had he been faced with such a crushing view... It was horrifying, and the longer he had to look at it, the more terrified he became.

He attempted to calm himself, but no matter what he did, he could not shake off the dread that overwhelmed him. He might even die within the next minutes if nobody saved him from his terrible fate.

"Chan!" he called desperately, and when the demon walked into the kitchen, he looked more than annoyed. "Save me, please!"

"I won't do the dishes for you," he hissed. "Wash them yourself!"

"But this is a war zone! When did we use so many plates? I don't even remember!" Seungmin whined, hating that there was a literal mountain of dirty dishes piled up on the kitchen counter.

They had cooked dinner earlier since Jisung had decided to pay them a visit, and Seungmin hadn't realized what chaos they had left behind until now—it was absolutely terrifying.

Only the idea of washing all that made him want to fall over. He refused to do it on his own! No, actually... Jisung should've been the one doing this task since only he ate food!

"I'm not your servant. If anything, it's the other way around," Chan said snobbishly and raised his chin, crossing his arms to emphasize the point that he would not lift a finger to help Seungmin.

"Excuse me? You can't be serious! I just took you out on a date yesterday, and the least you can do to repay me is by helping me out!" Seungmin nagged, putting his hands on his hips.

Chan snorted and rolled his eyes. "Oh please, I'm helping you enough already! I'm babysitting you 24/7, if that isn't sufficient, then I don't know what is," he retorted.

A frown made its way onto Seungmin's face. "I don't need a fucking babysitter, what's wrong with you? I'm a grown man!"

"Yes, one that randomly falls down stairs, cuts his fingers on paper, and doesn't know how to dispose his trashes properly. Definitely warrants a babysitter," he drawled, leaning closer to Seungmin.

The teasing glint in his eyes revealed that he was having fun testing Seungmin's nerves. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Seungmin huffed. "Chan! You are going to help me!"

"No." He laughed loudly when he saw Seungmin almost explode, face going red with anger. Particles of light formed around his body, but they didn't stay long and faded when he got another idea.

If yelling didn't get Chan to help him, then he would take another approach! Seungmin knew how to deal with his stubbornness.

He walked closer to Chan and laid his hand on his cheek while his lips formed a pout. "Please, Chan?" He glanced at him with big doe eyes.

Chan fell silent, prompting Seungmin to hide a smirk. He leaned his body against Chan, putting his hand on his chest while the other caressed his cheek.

His eyes fitted over to Chan's mouth, and just to tease him a little more, he bit his lower lip. And almost instantly, Chan locked his arms around his waist, leaning in to kiss him, but Seungmin didn't let him go that far.

He put his hand on Chan's mouth and grinned at him. "Only nice demons get kisses," he said, seeing Chan's eyes narrow. "And you have been naughty, so no kisses for you."

"Seungmin!" he growled.

"What is it, Channie?"

"Don't call me that!"

"Help me then!" he persisted.

"No! I don't want to!"

"Yes! I know you want to!" he shot back, stubbornly glaring at him. "I'm not going to kiss you anymore if you don't help me now!"

A low growl left Chan's throat and his eyes turned red, but no matter how annoyed he was, no matter how much he complained, in the end, Seungmin was victorious.

Watching Chan scrub the dishes was very entertaining that Seungmin had to hold himself back a lot to suppress his giggles—Chan was hilarious, and his permanent scowl made it even funnier.

When they were done and the kitchen was clean, Chan looked furious, cursing under his breath. "This is ridiculous! Where are the kisses you promised me a while ago?"

"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't remember promising you anything, sunshine," Seungmin said sarcastically.

"I'm not a sunshine."

"That's true, I should have said honey instead," he smirked.

"No," Chan snapped, his glare smoldering hot.

"Sweet cheeks?"

"Seungmin, if you don't shut up right now..." Chan had enough of his shenanigans, grabbed a wet cleaning rag, and threw it right in his face.

"Ewwww!" he squeaked and threw it back in the sink, glaring at him. "Hey, I was just joking! Why did you do that? It's disgusting!"

"You still owe me something," Chan drawled and closed the distance between them. His lips covered Seungmin's in a long warm kiss that left him short of breath.
