Special Chapter: Splish, splash, summer!

Against all odds - Minsung [✔]

The next afternoon, Chan was getting ready to meet up with his other friends. He was glad he still had a swimwear in his wardrobe that he could wear today.

He had prepared a few towels, as well as something to eat and drink, but since he wasn't sure what exactly his friends had planned for today, he was a bit nervous.

The weather was gorgeous, perfect to go swimming. It was hot outside and there was no breeze to cool him down. He had his black hair slicked back, and he wore his swimwear under oversized clothes.

Even Seungmin was dressed more casually today than usual, wearing short black trousers and a loose shirt. He seemed to look forward to meeting his friends since his mood was quite good today.

Chan walked into the kitchen to get a bottle of water from the fridge, but he got a huge scare when he ran into Seungmin who had appeared out of thin air. "Holy shit!" they screeched.

They collided with each other, Seungmin stumbled back in surprise, but Chan had caught him and prevented him from falling.

"Oh wow, you're so into me," Chan commented with a seductive grin that made Seungmin furrow his brows in disgust. "How about we spice things up for a bit before we leave?"

"You perverted ass. W-What are you even-" Seungmin began but cut himself off when Chan got so close to him that their noses were touching. His words got stuck in his throat.

"Oops, looks like I interrupted something," a very playful voice boomed from behind him, causing the smirk on Chan's face to vanish.

"Looks like you're in trouble, Felix," Seungmin chuckled, and the next thing he knew, he was surrounded by pitch-black darkness.

Nausea washed over him, nearly making him vomit, but then his sight cleared and he found himself standing in paradise.

His mouth fell open in astonishment and he couldn't believe his eyes. An endless white beach was in front of him, vibrant green palm trees offering shade from the sweltering sun.

The bright blue ocean glimmered in a beautiful play of colors. It was turquoise near the beach and faded to dark blue farther away.

Seungmin had never in his life set foot in such a beautiful place and was speechless. Felix's teleportation ability certainly was very useful... Wait a damn minute. Something's not right-

"I'm guessing you like the view," Felix laughed, standing next to him and watching his interesting reaction.

"It's incredible!" Seungmin breathed. "But did you seriously leave Chan at home? And since when did you learn teleportation-."

"I would've been dead meat if I stayed there any longer!" Felix added, and Seungmin noticed a group of people standing not far from them. Two of them he recognized, others were unfamiliar to him.

"There they are!" he gushed and took Felix's hand, pulling him enthusiastically. They walked up to Minho and Jisung who had already spotted them and waved at them.

The couple wore either swimwear or light clothing suited to the hot weather. A small wooden cabin was behind them, its door open.

"Seungmin!" Jisung yelled and embraced his friend who dramatically pushed him away in response. "You're finally here!"

"Hello Jisung," he smiled. "Where exactly are we though?"

"This is one of the smaller islands of the Maldives," he answered, his smirk widening when Seungmin's jaw dropped. "Wow, I never thought I would get to see a place like this with my own eyes."

"Uh, hello? I'm here too. Where's my hug?" Felix whined and embraced his friends, Jisung and Minho, who both giggled in response.

"Where is Chan, by the way? Did you leave him at home?" Minho asked, one look in Felix's smug face already telling him what he had planned.

"Well, I wanted to mess with him a little," Felix grinned proudly. "You know how worked up he gets whenever I'm stealing from him. It's hilarious and I can't repeat it often enough!"

"Hands off his boy, Felix. I'm keeping an eye on you," Minho said and threw him a harsh look that made him shut up.

"Ewww! I don't even like Seungmin," he replied, making fake gagging noises which the group found absolutely funny.

"Get him here right now. We wouldn't want to deal with pissed-off Chan for the remainder of the day," Jisung said, rolling his eyes annoyedly.

"Okay, boss. No need to get angry with me," Felix cackled and then he was gone. The group stared at the spot where he had been just seconds before and sighed.

They finally got a break from that huge manchild... "Took him long enough," Jisung said and Minho nodded in agreement.

"How about we go for a little swim until they are back?" Jisung suggested. "I'm guessing they'll be busy fighting for a while."

"Yes, let's go!" Seungmin added. "Come on, Jisung!"

"Give me a moment," he replied and hastily added sunscreen over his body. His friend pulled him along towards the water, Minho trailing behind them.

Jisung laughed, running into the cool ocean with them. The water was refreshing, splashing in all directions as he ran.

Minho turned to him and unexpectedly splashed a load of water at him, drenching him completely and making him shudder from the coldness.

"Just you wait! You're getting that back!" Jisung giggled, throwing water at his husband who screeched loudly. "I'm sorry!"

Seungmin took part in their water battle as well. With the two demons getting competitive, the calm ocean turned into a wild vortex, especially when they started using their magic to cause more chaos.

"Take that!" Seungmin shouted, throwing Jisung in the water headfirst. He resurfaced and glared at the demon, a challenging glint in his eyes.

"You better run," Minho cackled, watching the other demon smirk.
