Chapter 506
Meet My Brothers
GET IT NOW
Gina walked over, and her gaze on Maya was contemptuous. âWhen Mia was reported anonymously,
Timothy personally went to Mr. Shawâs office to prove they were husband and wile. Now,people in
school are talking about Miaâs relationship with Timothy.â
Furious, Maya gritted her teeth. She did hear that in passing. Fortunately for her, the news hadnât
revealed to the public yetâonly words circulating within the campus.
The woman beside Maya rebutted. âRich folks are always acting. I bet Miaâs going to be driven out of
the house. Timothyâs going to divorce her. Thereâs nothing to be proud of.â
Gina lost it. âYouâre being rude and thatâs completely rubbish.â
âDid I get it wrong? If the Barretts truly cared for Mia, why would they keep their relationship under the
radar? Besides, she worked as a partâtimer when she returned to school Have you seen someone
whoâs married to a rich family still working as a partâtimer?â
Gina was frustrated as she couldnât refute that statement. âThatâs because Mia doesnât want their
money
Maya smiled. âIf so, why did she buy the dress with their money?â
Mia countered, âOh, are you admitting that my dress is the authentic one?â
Mayaâs stiffened smile showed a slight twitch. It was a trap and she fell for it!
Mayaâs minion retorted, âWhat Ms. Lane means is, since Mia has such a strong ego, why did she
spend
money on an imitation? Thatâs different from Miaâs claim. I pity you. Gina. Youâre currying favor with Wia
so much and yet you wonât be able to come close with the rich people.â
Miaâs visage turned cold as soon as her friend was insulted, and she grabbed a glass of water to solast
it at Mayaâs minion. âNeed a glass of water to clean your breath? You smell awful
Maya shrieked because she was standing next to her minion. The water splashed her as well âHow
dare
you, Mia Bowen!â
Mia smiled faintly. âOops, my bad. I was just trying to wash down the breath in her mouth.â
âYouâre doing this on purpose. Youâre jealous of my dress, arenât you? Because itâs the real one.â Waya
was livid.
At that moment, the female celebrity came out of the small compartment. Mayaâs dress caught her
attention. âWhy is the color fading?â
Maya looked down at herself. The water smeared the color! Her expression was screaming dread.
The celebrity continued dubiously. âThis shouldnât be happening. The fabric used for the dress
shouldnât lose its color. Itâs also waterproof.â
Hearing that, Mia sprinkled a few drops of water on her dress. They traced along the dress before
falling onto the floor. The fabric didnât absorb the moisture, let alone lose its color!
The tension morphed into an air of awkwardness.
The celebrity coughed. âLooks like we know who has the real dress and the imitation.â
Mayaâs face was burning in embarrassment. Gritting her teeth, she glared at Mia.
Her expression looked like it was straight out of a horror movie. Never once in her life had she faced
such humiliation before!
Feeling that the people around her were making fun of her, she shouted like a mad woman, âWhat are
you looking at! Get the hell out of here!â
The people left the area to avoid messing with someone they shouldnât be.
Now, there were only Maya, Mia, and Gina.
Maya almost removed her nails in fury. âMia Bowen, where did you get the money to buy that dress?
How
did you steal it?â
âEasy. My family bought it for me.â Mia answered nonchalantly.
