Chapter 773
Meet My Brothers
Mia couldnât care less about Sharonâs attempts to complicate matters for her, but when it came to
Ginger, that was utterly unacceptable.
Sharon sneered, âWho do you think you are? Just because your family has some money, do you think
you can marry Tim, given your baggage? Let me make it clear, thatâs not going to happen!â
âWho said I have any interest in marrying your son? Donât flatter yourself.â
Mia stepped closer, her tone stern, âHonestly, Iâm only getting close to him to manipulate his emotions,
and while Iâm at it, Iâll use him to save my daughter by taking his bone marrow. Once Iâm done, Iâll
discard him like trash.â
âYou⦠You despicable woman! Itâs no surprise youâve turned out like this. Youâre nothing but trouble!
Miaâs gaze turned cold, her expression distant. âIs it because youâre haunted by guilt? Do you ever
have nightmares of the dead returning to haunt you in the night?â
Sharon trembled with anger. âWhat nonsense are you spouting? Who do you think you are?â
âTake a guess.â
Upon noticing Monalizeâs striking resemblance to Mia, panic seized Sharon, causing her to hastily
retreat. In her rush, however, she inadvertently lost her footing and tumbled down
the stairs.
Mia stood at the top of the staircase, watching Sharonâs fall, a hauntingly familiar scene echoing in her
mind.
She tapped her head pensively. Could it be that the incident from years ago also occurred on a
staircase?
âMrs. Barrett, are you alright?â
At that moment, Lunaâs wheelchair emerged at the foot of the stairs, and she hurriedly made her way to
Sharonâs side. Observing Sharonâs unconscious form, a flicker of
satisfaction crossed Lunaâs eyes.

The next instant, Luna glared at Mia and exclaimed, âMs. Monalize, how dare you push Mrs. Barrett
down the stairs? It seems youâve got a real nasty streak in you, huh?â
Mia peered down at Luna. âInstead of pointing fingers at me, you should be calling for a doctor to help
her. If you continue to take your own sweet time, others might suspect youâre deliberately delaying her
treatment.â
Luna was momentarily speechless at Miaâs retort, quickly dialing for medical assistance to aid the
unconscious Sharon.
Staring defiantly at Mia, Luna shot back, âDonât think youâve won. Iâll find Tim, and then weâll see how
youâll explain yourself to him.â
âPerhaps you should wipe that smug look off your face. We wouldnât want Timothy catching onto your
deceptive tactics and throwing you out of the Barrett family, would we?â
With that, Mia turned on her heel and walked away.
Luna remained unmoved, her expression ambiguous as she observed Miaâs departure.
âEven if youâve caught on, what can you do? This time, Iâll ensure you face the consequences,â Luna
vowed silently to herself.
Meanwhile, Mia calmly made her way back to the hospital room, but she refrained from entering right
away.
Approaching her, Peyton spoke up, âMs. Mia, Iâm concerned that the incident might be misconstrued. Iâll
retrieve the surveillance footage to prove that Mrs. Barrettâs fall was accidental and not related to you.â
âAlright, keep it ready for now.â
Nonetheless, Mia didnât go upstairs to find Timothy. For some inexplicable reason, she didnât feel like
offering an explanation.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Luna rushed into Timothyâs ward in tears. âTim, itâs awful. Aunt Sharon took a fall
down the hospital stairs and is unconscious in the ER. Youâve got to come see her.â
âWhat? Take me there.â
Timothy swiftly rose from his bed, following Luna to the emergency room area.
Frowning at Luna, he asked, âWhy was she even at the hospital in the first place?â
Luna suddenly felt a pang of unease. Why wasnât Timothyâs first question about why Sharon fell?
She quickly clarified, âWell, I may have informed Aunt Sharon about your hospitalization
yesterday because I was concerned about you⦠Timothy retorted coldly, âDid I ask you to meddle?â
