Chapter 10

The phone echoed in the Ferris wheel box. Todoroki fished in his pocket for it, answering it. "Hello?"

Neither Midoriya or Bakugo could hear who was on the other end. But after a few quiet seconds, Todoroki spoke again. "WHAT?! I'll be right over." He hung up before pushing the button on the wall, requesting the Ferris wheel to let them out next round.

"Is something wrong, Shoto?" Midoriya asked.

"It's nothing for you to worry about." He responded coldly. "Katsuki, take care of him."

They got off the Ferris wheel and Todoroki ran in a different direction.

"I hope he's okay." Midoriya worried.

"Shut up. Let's get out of here." Bakugo grabbed Midoriya by the hand and led the way to the dorm.

That night, Todoroki didn't return.

The next morning felt strange to Midoriya, but he didn't know why. Normally, Todoroki was the one to walk him to class, but since he left them last night, Bakugo walked with him.

Midoriya got to class just before the bell rang. When he made it to his seat, his instructor entered and went to the stand. "Attention class. As of this morning, Shoto Todoroki is no longer a part of this class. I got the message this morning that he dropped out."

The news shook Midoriya. Shoto, what happened? Where on earth could you be right now? He thought.

Later Midoriya told Bakugo the news. When they returned to the dorm, Todoroki's room was being cleaned by a few of Endeavor's sidekicks.

"Hey, what happened to Shoto?" Midoriya asked one of them. "Is he okay?"

The sidekick looked at him and Bakugo. "Sorry, but we were told not to tell anyone."

Midoriya could feel the tears coming, so he went to his room across the hall, with Bakugo in toe. Closing the door behind them, Bakugo spoke, "Deku. I'm sure he as a good reason for all of this. He's not the type to just vanish for no reason."

Midoriya, now balling, replied, "I know. I just need to find him."

"No you don't." Said Bakugo. "Just give him some space. He'll come back eventually."

The night before: Todoroki POV

Todoroki arrived at the hospital, his mother and siblings already waiting for him. His mother came over to give him a hug. "Go see your father. Hurry!"

Todoroki burst into the room to see Endeavor, his father, in a hospital bed. He was hooked up to machines, but he was still conscious. "Dad?!"

"Shoto, come here." He said weakly. He waited until his son came closer before continuing. "I need you to do me a fav-"

"YOU CALLED ME HERE FOR A FAVOR?!" Shoto was pissed. "Is that all you can think about, you SELFISH BASTARD?"

"Just listen to me for ONCE, Shoto. I need your help. I won't recover from this for a while. I need you to take over the agency until then." Endeavor grabbed his son's hand. "You're the only one I can ask. I know you can do it."

"What about school? Or the fact I could be a father?"

"I know you have a personal life, but I will recover before that child is born, I promise you that. Just take care of the agency until then. And don't tell anyone about my injuries. Tell anyone who asks about me that I went on vacation. That will be all."

Shoto ripped his hand away and stormed out of the room.

Normal POV:

The weeks went on and Midoriya still hasn't heard from Todoroki. He had already gotten use to Bakugo doing everything for him. With his stomach so large, he wasn't as flexible as before. He was home for a doctors appointment when he got a knock at the door.

"Hey there young Midoriya. I am here!" All Might announces before his body deflated once again. "How have you been? Isn't graduation coming up soon?"

"All Might! What are you doing here? Weren't you in Hollywood?" Midoriya shouted, as he gestured his guest to come in. "When did you get back?"

"Just now. I had some important business to take care of and thought I should stop by to see if you're doing okay." He chuckles. "How is the kid doing?"

"She started kicking about a week ago." Midoriya's smile disappears. "You know, don't you?"

"Know what?"

"About Todoroki and why he disappeared?" He was now crying.

"Oh, well, yes I do know. But I thought it was common knowledge." All scratches his head nervously. "If Todoroki hasn't said anything, than I shouldn't either. I hope you understand, young Midoriya."

"That's fine. I don't need to know what he's doing. I just need to know if he's still alive."

"Shoto..... yes of course he is. You have nothing to worry about."

Not too long after that was graduation, for Midoriya at least. Both Bakugo and Mrs. Midoriya attended Izuku's graduation. All Might also made an appearance. However, there was still no sign of Todoroki.
