Girl's Night Out

{I don't recommend partaking in the activities mentioned in this chapter if you are under the legal drinking age. Enjoy <3}

We're going clubbing tonight. I've been waiting all summer for this. Just me, my friends, and the loud music with hundreds of others. It's going to be great. Now, I don't recommend going to clubs at 16 but if you're in a large group of friends and the club is 18+ instead of 21+ then it is fine. Elle, Adrian, and Alyssa will be there. Then obviously Casey is coming and Casey's two friends he was playing beer pong with at that party the other night. I don't think they deserve names after the way he acted but I'll tell you anyway, their names are Finn and Lucas. Ok now get this, Casey was somehow able to get his hands on a fake ID for Jessie. I wanted her to use her LegoLand one but that apparently isn't legal.

Jessie and I are driving over to Casey's now. Jessie looked cute tonight, wearing a white sleeveless crop top with a black oversized button-down and black baggy jeans with Doc Martens to tie it all together. She also accessorized with a belt, all the rings, and a simple J necklace.

We are doing a little pregame at Casey's house and then we'll go out. His parents aren't home this week. They are visiting extended family or something in another state so it seemed like the perfect time to do this.

"Don't forget I have to be home early. I have a flight to catch in the morning" She says while I am driving.

"You'll still be up at 3 am to talk to me. We can be out all night"

"I just want a taste of the experience. Then I want to go home"

"We'll stay for two hours tops. Besides the club doesn't even get good to at least 10 o'clock."  It is currently 8.

My mom and Collin weren't too thrilled with the idea of both of us "staying the night" at Casey's while his parents are out of town. They think he is having a party. That's only half true. They only agreed because Jessie is with me too. If it was just me that would be a hard no.

We arrive at Casey's and go inside. I didn't even bother knocking. He texted me and told me to just come in and go to the backyard. We were the first ones here. We walk through the house to the back.

"Hi love" I kiss him. He says hi back and then he and Jessie say hi to each other. He was setting up right now. He has buckets with bottles of drinks and ice in them. I decide to appreciate his hard work and get two drinks for Jessie and myself. "Do you need any help?" I ask.

"Could you run up to my room and get my speaker for me please" He asks.

"Yeah. I'll be right back" I turn to Jessie and grab her hand. "Come with me"

We head upstairs and go into his room. I look around for the speaker. Jessie looked around the room just taking it all in. "You two have definitely fucked in that bed haven't you" She looked disgusted.

I laughed. "We have. I'll spare you the details."

I find the speaker and we head back downstairs. As I do someone knocks on the door. I go to open it. It was Elle and Adrian. We say hi to each other and then head to the back where Casey is. Alyssa, Lucas, and Finn arrive a little while later and the party begins.

We are just waiting for the appropriate hour to leave. We pass the time by drinking, listening to music, and talking in little groups. I am attached to Casey by the hip right now. It is all just for show. I drink a little more than I should but after the other night at Alyssa's are we really surprised? I know I shouldn't do this but I am monitoring Jessie's drinking. I figured she is feeling a bit of peer pressure with everyone around her drinking so that is the least I can do. She has drank a bit more than she did the other night which is surprising. She was talking to my friends more than I expected. She and Elle seemed to hit it off well. I'm proud of her, I expected her to just take in the experience and not say much.

We take an Uber to the club. It was about a half an hour away. We were about halfway between Orlando and my town. Our town is too small to have a club, especially one where all the workers wouldn't know us so we had to travel a bit. We have a few bars though; you just have to be twenty-one.

We get out of the Uber. The lights surrounding the club are bright outside. I think I am a little more drunk than I wanted to be. Those lights are blinding me. There is a small line to get in which is typical. We go to the back. Everyone was chit-chatting about I don't even know what. I was standing with Jessie. I grab Jessie's hand and interlock our fingers. I saw that ID Casey got her. It isn't the greatest. He got it in a rush. She is going to need some help. Casey gives me a weird look when I hold her hand.

"I need to ensure she gets in" I say. He just rolls his eyes and goes back to talking to Adrian.

A few minutes later we get up to the bouncer. We have Casey go first. He gets in easy then Jessie and I go up. We show him the IDs and he raises an eyebrow then looks at us.

"They're with me" Casey says.

"God enough for me" He says. He hands us wristbands and lets us in.

The other five do the same. Casey grabs my hand and I take that as my sign to drop hers. "You're dating me, remember" he whispers in my ear. I don't respond. I do roll my eyes though.

We go inside. The music is so loud I can feel it in my chest. They're playing early 2000s throwbacks. They definitely know their audience. It was hot. The people smelled like a mix of sweat and perfume. Colored strobe lights were going off to the beat of the music.

"Come dance with me" I start pulling him by the hand. "You're coming too" I grab Jessie's hand too.

"We're getting drinks. We'll meet up with you" Elle says and they start walking towards it.

I pull them through the crowd to the dance floor. It was packed. You couldn't do anything without bumping into someone. It was fine. I drop both their hands. Casey and I start dancing anyway. Jessie was standing their stiff as a board. People keep bumping into her from all angles. I could tell she was not having fun.

"I need to pee. I'll be back" I say into Casey's ear. He wouldn't be able to hear me if I didn't. "Come with me" I say to Jessie and grab her hand.

I pull her through the crowd to the back. Once it was a little quieter she starts talking, "Where are we going?"

"The bathroom. The girl's bathroom is fun. I promise" I respond.

"I don't see how a bathroom could be fun"

We go inside and there were a few people on line. The two girls in front of us start talking to us. "I love you shirt" She says to me.

"Aw thank you. I got it from American Eagle" I say.

"I never go there. I'm going to have to try it out" The other one says.

"I always find something to get" I say.

"What's your name?" The girl who complimented my shirt asks.

"Harper" I say. "What's yours?" I ask.

"I'm Amanda, this is Charlotte" She says.

"This is Jessie" I say motioning to her.

We wait for a couple of minutes. Once it is my turn the girl inside the stall we are going to go into looks at us. "The door is broken. Want me to hold it?"

"Thank you. I'll have her hold it" I motion to Jessie.

"Sounds good" She says and heads over to the sink.

We go into the stall together. She holds the door closed while I do what I have to. I flush then turn to her. "Watch this" I say to her.

"Should I break up with my toxic, jealous boyfriend tonight?" I yell for the entire bathroom to hear. I think every single person in that bathroom yelled back yes.

Jessie and I start cackling. She opens the door and we start walking over to the sink. We were still laughing

"Break up with him. He's no good for you" One of the girls in line says to me. She looks at Jessie. "Date this pretty brunette right here instead." She says.

"If I could I would. My mom is dating her dad" I say and laugh.

"Thats unfortunate. I'm rooting for their break up" She says.

"You and me both" I say.

I go and wash my hands then we walk out of the bathroom. I barely remember that bathroom trip. That's not good. We start heading back to the dance floor to find the others.

"This one is for all the lovers in the room. Grab your lover close and dance with them for this next one" The DJ says into the mic and a slow song starts. This is my moment.

I grab both of Jessie's hand. "Come dance with me" I say.

"Ok" She says with a smile. This was the first time I've seen her smile all night.

I pull her by the hands and we find a spot. I wrap my arms around her waist while she wraps hers around my neck and we start swaying to the song. She was staring into my eyes and I was doing the same to her.

"You have pretty eyes" She says to me.

"Yours are prettier" I say.

I wanted to kiss her so bad right then and there. Let the entire world see, even Casey. Especially Casey.

That's when I see him, out of the corner of my eye staring at us with his mouth wide open. Fuck. I swear that split drink on the floor is his. I drop my arms from Jessie's waist and she gives me a confused look but takes her arms off from around my neck. All our friends are behind him watching. Double fuck.

I start walking towards him. I didn't take her hand this time. It would just add salt to the wound. He's been a shit boyfriend the past month. I don't get why I care.

"Casey" I start when he is in ear shot but he cuts me off.

"I'm going home" He says and just walks away.

"Casey wait" I say but it is too late. He is already pushing his way through the crowd with Finn and Lucas.

I'm not chasing him. He's not worth it.

"He'll be fine. He's just drunk" Elle says to me.

"I know. Can we just go home?" I ask.

"Yeah. Let me get an Uber" She says.
