Caught

{This chapter is an absolute mess and I need to stop leaving you all on cliff hangers except I'm not gonna stop. That is all}

3 am:

"We're fucked." Jessie says as she enters my room.

"Oh big time" I respond. She comes and sits across from me on my bed.

Long story short when our parents caught us my mom just told us to go to our separate rooms. Jessie and I did but we both eavesdropped on them. We texted through their conversation. My mom seems to be siding with Collin that we're a little too close but she also says she doesn't think i'm gay so theres that. Casey's name was brought into it as evidence.

"I have an idea. It's not ideal but it could help." She says.

"Shoot"

"I think we need to lay low the rest of the summer. Only being together if everyone is there. No more sneaking off to go hang out during the day. We'll still have 3 am when everyone is asleep" She says.

"I don't want to but it is probably the best idea" I say.

"I don't want to either but we need to play it safe" She says.

"Well if I am only getting stolen moments with you in the middle of the night I'd like to take advantage right now" I say.

I lean forward and kiss her. She kissed me back. She wraps her arm around my lower back, pulling me in closer to her. I wrap my fingers in her dark brown hair. After a few moments I break the kiss for some air. She moves her arm from my back to my cheek, tracing her fingers up my side. She didn't break eye contact for even a second.

"I love you" I say.

"I love you more but we probably shouldn't be kissing here. We're about 5 seconds away from getting caught." She confuses me. She was working harder during that kiss then I was.

"How about we meet tomorrow night in the tree house" I suggest.

"Sounds perfect" She says.

It was quiet for a couple moments. "Are you excited to go home next week?"

"I don't wanna talk about that right now" She says.

"What do you wanna talk about?" I ask.

She looks around for a second. She seemed a little awkward. "Thank you for our date today. I think that was my favorite one yet" She says.

"I had fun today. Sorry it didn't end the best" I say.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just gonna pretend like that never happened" She says.

"Me too"

She gets off my bed. "I'm going to go to sleep. I'll see you tomorrow night" She says.

"See you tomorrow night" I say. "One tiny kiss before you go?" I ask.

She grabs my chin. "Anything for you my love" She gives me a small peck on the lips before leaving my room.
