Day three of my suspension and it couldn't be going any better. We have been convincing Collin to take Levi out to hang out with him and that I shouldn't be allowed to go since I should be grounded. Oh, and Jessie gets to stay with me to make sure I don't leave. Collin is so easy to fool. I love it.

It's been a whole lot of nothing lately. We stay home every day, cuddle, and watch movies. I'm just trying to savor every moment with her before she leaves next week.

Today is a little different though. Normally, my mom comes home from work, and Collin and Levi come home around the same time. Today they aren't though. Collin is at his parent's house with Levi. They're going to babysit him while my mom and Collin go out on a date. That obviously means I get extra alone time with Jessie.

It is still somewhat early but no one is going to be home for hours so I want to take advantage of every second I had with her. "Hey Jessie, get dressed we're going out," I say as I walk into her room.

"Where are we going?" She asks.

"Don't stress it. Just throw some clothes on. You'll look great in anything" I shut the door behind me.

I head across the hall to my room and start getting ready. I do some light makeup and find an outfit for tonight's occasion. I have a lot planned (with the help of Elle) and would like to look my best.

After about half an hour I am finally ready. I go and knock on her door. She tells me she has been ready for twenty minutes. We head out to my car and get in. I connect to the aux and play music from my phone.

"Are you hungry?" I ask as I start driving.

"Yeah, I could eat," She says.

"I have the perfect place in mind," I say and start heading there.

We drive for a while, I want to get closer to where our main event is going to be. It takes about 45 minutes but we finally arrive.

We go inside and it is this cute little tavern along the swamp. I wish I could say it was along the ocean but this is Florida. We're known for our swamps among other things.

We get a table for two and sit down. I honestly don't even know how to start a conversation with her. We've been together 24/7 for days now.

"So what are your college plans?" I ask.

She was slightly caught off guard by the question. "You sound like my father," She says.

"Well, what's the plan?" I ask.

"As far away from New York as possible," She says.

"You should come here" My eyes light up.

"Might not be far enough." She jokes. "I don't want my family visiting every weekend."

The waitress comes over and we order our food and drinks.

"So what's your plan?" She asks.

"Ideally Tampa," I say.

"Why?" She asks.

"It's close by, I can see my friends and family whenever I like but more importantly party schools," I say plain and simple.

"Checks out," She says.

A few moments later our food arrives. We eat and then leave.

"What's next?" She asks as we get into my car.

"It's a surprise," I say.

I start the car and start driving to our next location.

"I'm going to have to surprise you one day," She says.

"Unfortunately for you, I'm the one with the license"

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," She says.

"You can surprise me when I come to New York," I say.

"I don't think either of my parents would approve of that," She says.

"Maybe your dad would if my mom comes to," I say.

We arrive at the place and get out of the car.

"Oh my god, Are you going kayaking?" She asks.

"Yes," I say.

"I hope we don't get eaten by alligators" She jokes.

We go inside and get a kayak for two. We rented it for an hour. The sun is just starting to set so by the time we get out there it'll be perfect timing for the sunset. I would ideally like to be back before it gets fully dark. It is going to be buggy.

The guy working brings us out a kayak and puts it in the river. He helps us get in. He puts me in the front and Jessie in the back. No one is on the water. It is a Wednesday after all. We start drifting out. We are not very coordinated. I turn left and she turns right so we are getting nowhere. It was fun, we were laughing the entire time.

We finally start getting somewhere. The view was so pretty. I'm sure the one behind me was even prettier. I turn around to take a peak and plant a small kiss on her lips.

"I love you," I say as I pull away.

"I love you more," She says.

I have the view behind me take some pictures for my social media later. I would tag her but I would prefer to not get comments about that for my mother to see.

The sun goes down almost completely and we row back in. We return the kayak and start driving home. The car ride is chill. I'm driving with one hand and Jessie is holding the other. I'm playing music somewhat quietly.

When we get back home I call out to see if anyone is home. I didn't get a response. I don't expect them to be home until after 9 anyway.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I ask.

"Sure," She says.

She lays out our blanket we've been using all week and then goes to the kitchen and pops popcorn. I'm starting to get sick of popcorn. And movies. But not her.

I scroll through Netflix looking for something to watch. She turns the lights off and joins me a few minutes later. "Are you in the mood for scary?" She asks.

"Ok"

"Let me pick," She says and I hand her the remote. She turns on The Shining. "Have you ever seen it?" She asks.

We cuddle into each other and watch the movie. I play with her hair while her hand grips my thigh. I wish she would move her hand in closer. I could just pick it up and move it if I really wanted to. I don't even hear the car pull up.

"What are you two doing?" Collin says when he opens the door.

We both look up and see our parents standing there in the doorway.

Fuck me.
