Chapter 254
Wife by Day Boss by Night ( (Natalie and Brian )
Chapter 254
Natalle glanced back to see the figure leaning casually against the doorway, a grin spreading across his face. âHope Iâm not breaking anything up?â
It was Bradley.
âJust came to see you guys off on behalf of the faculty,â Bradley explained, catching the look of surprise on Natalieâs face. He had just been passing by when he saw Natalie sitting inside.
As if on cue, Natalieâs phone rang. She picked it up and noticed an unfamiliar number on the display, whispering to Bradley, âExcuse me, I need to take this call.â
With that, she stepped aside to talk in hushed tones.
Bradleyâs gaze drifted to Rosie, who shook her head and replied, âNo worries, Mr. Gonzalez. You didnât interrupt us.â
âOh, the kiddo seems a bit down?â Bradley eyed Rosie, asking lightheartedly.
âYouâre joking, Mr. Gonzalez,â Rosie paused before standing up, then added sternly, âAnd Iâm twentyâfive years old, by no means a kiddo.â
âIf youâre only a few years older than Natalie, what does that make you?â Bradley chuckled. âBesides, do you even know what I teach?â
His abrupt question caught Rosie off guard.
âArenât you in finance?â she guessed.
âSpot on. Youâve done your homework on your professor,â Bradley said with a broad smile, revealing a set of pearly whites. âGot a little crush on me, maybe?â
Rosie couldnât help but suspect Bradleyâs skin was as thick as they came. He seemed like a flirt, always without a straight face.
âJust the other day at the diner, didnât you tell me you were Brianâs roommate?â Rosie explained earnestly, âBrian is in finance, so I assumed you were, too.â
âSharp as a tack,â Bradley watched her closely, waiting until she finished before continuing with a slight smile. âBut⦠I have another role, too.â There was a hint of mystery in his
voice.
âSelling ice cream?â Rosie yentured, halfâjoking.
They locked eyes momentarily before Bradley playfully ruffled Rosieâs hair. âSuch a cheeky kid, adorable. I primarily teach finance with a side of psychology. If you ever need someone to talk to, Iâm your guy. Iâm a certified counselor, you know!â
Rosie pursed her lips, dodging Bradleyâs hand, and gave him no further attention.

After a brief exchange of banter with Rosie, Bradley turned his attention back to Natalie having overheard her conversation with a woman on the phone, so he deliberately eavesdropped from the doorway,
âSure, see you tonight,â Natalie said in a neutral tone before ending the call.
As she turned back, Bradley was still there. She smiled at him and asked, âMr. Gonzalez, are you treating us to ice cream again today?â
Bradley locked eyes with Natalie, his gaze meaningful. âThe ice cream would melt when i got it here.â
A colleague from afar called out to Bradley, and he responded before turning back to Natalie, âI better head off now.â
He had barely stepped out when he glanced back at Rosie, âRemember what I told you, kiddo.â
Rosie couldnât help but roll her eyes. She had never met anyone so shameless and quickâwitted. No wonder Bradley was a professor,
âNatalie, who were you on the phone with?â Rosie turned back to her friend,
âGracia,â Natalie responded.
