Chapter 255
Wife by Day Boss by Night ( (Natalie and Brian )
Chapter 255
âWhy would she come to you? Doesnât she have the Howard family backing her up?â Rosie couldnât help but frown.
âWho knows,â Natalie replied nonchalantly.
Rosie turned to face Natalie, âWait, what did you just say?â
âWho knows whatâs going on with her,â Natalle pondered before answering.
âNo, I mean, what did you tell her on the phone, the last thing?â Rosie asked, her brow furrowed,
ââ¦See you tonight?â
Rosieâs eyes went wide with disbelief, âAre you out of your mind, Natalie! Do you really need to meet with a loser? Wouldnât it be nicer to just chill out at the hotel?â
Natalie mulled it over, âYouâve got a point.â
âBut Gracia said sheâd swing by our castâs hotel, not that Iâm going to her.â
âI actually want to see what kind of stunt sheâs trying to pull! What kind of storm can this little siren stir up now!â Rosie said as she stuffed Natalieâs costume angrily into a bag.
After dinner with the crew that evening, Natalie and Rosie, toting some fruit theyâd picked up from the local store, strolled leisurely toward their hotel.
âRunning a fruit stand here is like a license to print money. Look at this, fifty bucks for just a few pieces of fruit.â Rosie complained, carrying a small bunch of cherries.
At the thought of it, she turned to Natalie and asked, âDo you think that⦠whatâs his name⦠Bardley, running an ice cream shop at the school, is it also a gold mine?â
âBradley,â Natalie corrected her.
âBradley,â Rosie repeated.
âMost college students are treasured by their parents these days and get plenty of pocket money. They wonât even blink at spending twenty bucks on an ice cream, so of course, itâs a gold mine,â Natalie responded.
âSo that means Bradley is pretty loaded,â Rosie grabbed Natalieâs sleeve and casually asked.
Natalie thought back to when she first met Bradley in high school. He was driving a car that she recalled looked like a Porsche, more of an offâroad type, and he mentioned it belonged to his dad,
But back then, a college student who drove their car to school was definitely from a wellâoff family.
âHis parents seem pretty impressive, both highâearning professors, and they get these advisory positions in companies where they donât even have to punch in, just lend their names. But I donât know exactly how rich they are.â
Natalie wouldnât pry into such matters. Her knowledge of Bradley was limited to childhood days of dining out and playing together, picking up bits and pieces from their conversations.
âAnyway, the Gonzalez family is definitely not poor.â
âWhy are you asking about this?â Natalie eyed Rosie with a hint of suspicion.

âGood idea, but youâd need a million in hand to start something like that, Natalie dropped her suspicions and commented, âOtherwise, you coift even afford the franchise fee for a bubble tea shop
The two chatted about whether a fried chicken joint, a burnto shop, or a bubble tes place would be more profitable as they reached the hotel lobby,
Rosie looked up and spotted Gracia sitting by the window at the hotelâs café bar She nudged ties gently in the side and nodded toward Gracia.
This bitch was early.
âYou go on up, Iâll have a word with her and then Iâll be back, Natalie whispered to Rosée,
