Till the third song ended, only Abhimanyu and Ishika were on the dance floor while the rest of the guests were watching the couple in awe. "Abhi.." Ishika spoke in a whisper, abhimanyu just hummed in response. "everyone are watching us"

Abhimanyu chuckles "let them.. I don't care" soon the lights were turned on and Ishika and Abhimanyu returned to greet the guests. Abhimanyu introduced Ishika to all his business partners. He then walked to Varun Kapoor. "Mr kapoor this is Ishika Singh my wife"

Varun gave Ishika a small smile "hello mrs singh i am varun Kapoor we are soon gonna sign a deal together" ishika just nodded and whispered in Abhimanyu's ear that she'll be with radhika and ananya as business talk wasn't her cup of tea. Abhimanyu nodded and Ishika walked to Radhika who was having a chat with her friends.

"Baccha come here" radhika chimed as soon as she saw Ishika walking towards her. "Isha, these are my friends.." She introduced each of them to her daughter in law. Ishika met a few of Abhimanyu's business partners wifes and they were genuinely nice to her so how her time went by she didn't even realize.

After dinner slowly one by one guests left the party hall satisfied and awed with how the party turned out to be a big success. Ishika was getting changed into her night clothes and then she started removing her makeup. Once done she went to the room. Abhimanyu was not in the room and she frowned seeing a small note on the bed.

'ISHI COME TO TERRACE'

Ishika frowned as it was almost midnight what hell were they gonna do on terrace both were tired as hell. Ishika shrugged and left the room going to the terrace. It was all dark which scared ishika. "Abhi..." she called Abhimanyu out of fear.

Suddenly the lights were turned on , Ishika gasps looking at the view in front of her. She felt a pair of arms around her waist. She knew it was abhi. Abhimanyu whispered his hot breath on her ears "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIWI" ishika smiles tears forming in her eyes. She hasn't celebrated her birthday in years and she almost forgot that it was her birthday.

Ishika quickly turned to face him. "Ho..how do you know?" Abhimanyu wiped the lone tear on her cheeks with his thumb. "Mujhe nahi pata hoga meri wife ka birthday tho kisko pata hoga?" (if not me who would know my wife's birthday) "happy birthday ishi" abhimanyu bopped her nose ishika smiled "thank you" she wrapped her hands around his torso.

"Thank you thank you thank you" abhimanyu chuckles and one by one everyone comes out of hiding. "Happy birthday bacche" Radhika and Arjun wished her. Ishika hugged them both. "Thank you maa papa" radhika kissed Ishika's forehead.

Armaan walked to her "happy birthday bhabhi" he ruffled her hair. "Thank you bhai" ananya engulfed ishika in a tight hug "Happy birthday bhabhi" ishika laughed a little , she was happy that ananya was slowly loosening up. "Thank you anya"

"Ishi.. lets cut cake hm?" Abhimanyu led Ishika to the canopy and made her sit down. He placed the cake in front of her. Ishika closed her eyes and joined her hands, intervening the fingers. She made a wish and she opened her eyes and blew the candle. Everyone sings the birthday song while Ishika cuts the cake.

She feeds the cake to radhika and arjun first and then she feeds it to abhimanyu who applies little cream on her cheeks. Everyone left the terrace one by one after wishing good night. Ishika and Abhimanyu stayed on the terrace. They both sat on the small mattress which Abhimanyu placed.

"Did you like it?" Abhimanyu asked Ishika, wiping her cheeks where he had placed the cream. "I loved it.. thank you so much abhi" Ishika threw her hands around Abhimanyu's neck hugging him. Abhimanyu knew how much these small things mattered to ishika. She didn't need big gifts, big things, just small happiness like a birthday celebration was enough to make her happy. She never demanded anything else.

"Tomorrow spend your day with me hm?" Abhimanyu said he wanted to spend time with her to make her day special and give her all the happiness which she missed all those years. Ishika smiles and kisses Abhimanyu's cheeks. Abhimanyu shook his head "just cheeks?" Ishika kissed his forehead, abhimanyu again shook his "head just there?"

Ishika thought for a while before kissing Abhimanyu's lips. Abhimanyu returned the kiss.Abhimanyu wraps his hands around her waist deepening the kiss. He licked her bottom lips for entrance which Ishika gave. Abhimanyu slides his tongue in exploring her mouth and Ishika couldn't help but let out a small moan. Abhimanyu felt a weird sensation hearing her small moan.

Abhimanyu pulled away before things could escalate further. Ishika hid her face in his chest flustered. She never thought a kiss could be this hot. Abhimanyu chuckles seeing his wife all flustered. Ishika leaned her head on his shoulder and Abhimanyu wrapped his hand around her shoulder and they both looked up at the sky watching stars.

Next day Ishika and Abhimanyu spend the whole day together. He took her out the whole day. They went to watch a movie then they went shopping and they ended the day with dinner together at an open roof restaurant. Abhimanyu had booked the whole restaurant so they could enjoy their night.

"Ishi what you want for a gift?" Abhimanyu asked , Ishika just shook her head "Abhi you are the bestest gift I could ever get. You are spending time with me like a normal couple. I am content with that. Thank you Abhi for making my day special" Abhimanyu shook her head and forward a small box in front of her.

"What is it?" Ishika takes the box. "A small gift from your hubby and a promise with that" ishika frowned and opened the box, it was a small ring. Abhimanyu took out the ring and slided it in her ring finger. "I promise you Ishika to take care of you, to love you immensely, to respect you and to protect you , before you face any problem I'll be dealing with it before you. Ishi these aren't just a few mere words I mean each and every word I spoke.. I will fulfill each and every promise I made to you."

Abhimanyu brought her hand near his lips and kissed her knuckles. A drop of tear left her eyes which Abhimanyu wiped with his thumb. "Ishi.. no more tears right" ishika smiles and nods. Then Abhimanyu took Ishika to her favorite Jalebi stall to end the day on a sweet note.

And just like that, Abhimanyu and Ishika spend their day like a normal couple. Ishika didn't want anything extraordinary, some huge party or something she just wanted to spend a normal day like a normal couple. She couldn't ask for anything else.

2 months later:

It's been 2 months since the 50 years aniversary party for Ishika's birthday. 2 months passed by just like it. Ishika was in office discussing a draft of their new project with swanandi. It was a draft of a new hotel. "Ishi, I think we should take these designs for approval" swanandi said, cracking her neck. She has been working hard on these designs, she pulled all nighters cause this project was really very important for matchbox.

"Yeah lets go before sir leaves" they had already taken approval from ira and now only armaan's approval was left. They both walked towards Armaan's cabin and they knocked. "Come in" they heard a cold voice. Ishika was now used to armaan this cold self at work place.

They both walked in. Armaan sat up straight, clearing his throat "yes?" he asked, looking at ishika. He knew his heart rate goes high and high looking at swanandi so he usually avoids it. "Sir the draft for the new hotel is ready , please check it and tell us if there are any changes to be made" swanandi spoke forwarding the laptop.

Armaan signals swanandi and Ishika to sit down. They both settled down and Armaan started going through the drafts. He had a satisfied look on his face. "Perfect" he looked at swanandi as if Ishika was not present there only. "Thank you sir" swanandi spoke with a red tint on her cheeks just like a teenager who got a compliment from her crush.

Armaan looked at swanandi for a few minutes before diverting his gaze to Ishika realizing her presence. "Once the client is here you both can prepare for the presentation" Ishika and Swanandi got up and left the cabin. As they were out, Ishika looked at Swanandi with a suggestive smirk.

Swanandi clears her throat ignoring Ishika's smirk and walks to her cabin. Ishika was about to follow her all she wanted to do was tease her. But her phone rang. It was Abhimanyu who picked up the call.

On-call:

Ishika: "Abhi"

Abhimanyu: "did you have your lunch?"

Ishika: "no.. I'll go have now"

Abhimanyu: "no no i'm coming to pick you up"

Ishika: "heh but why?"

Abhimanyu: "Jaan let's have lunch together"

Ishika: "but abhi i have work today"

Abhimanyu: "i will drop you on time jaan"

Ishika: "when are you coming?"

Abhimanyu: "i am already here"

Ishika: "okay im coming"

Ishika hung up and quickly went to her cabin. "Nandu i am going out for lunch" this time it was swanandi's time to tease. Ishika knew very well that swanandi was gonna say "not now later" . Ishika grabbed her bag. "Please go through the presentation once I'll be back before meeting"

Ishika practically ran from there. She can't keep abhimanyu waiting. She saw Abhimanyu's car on the other side of the road. Abhimanyu was standing leaning to it going through his phone. There were two hearts in her eyes seeing the handsome man in front of her. He wore black shirt with rolled up sleeves, and jeans.

His gaze fell on you and he waved to her. Ishika waved and wad crossing the road. "Slowly jaan" abhimanyu said he was coming half way to get her. Ishika was crossing road when suddenly out of nowhere a car came in a full speed and before anyone could react anything. A huge crash sound came.

Ishika who had fell on the other side of road , she couldn't process anything that happened. "Abhi.." ishika whispered and looked to the side, "Abhi!!!" Ishika yelled . Abhimanyu was on road unconscious, blood was oozing out of his head. People started to gather. Ishika rushed to Abhimanyu, almost stumbling.

"A..abhi"
