Chapter 174
I'm Sorry My Love Novel
Chapter 174
Canât I Call You Even if I Have Nothing to Say? Anna felt her heart drop and her body tensed up when
she heard Aidanâs words. Stiffly, she turned around to face him, tongue-tied, unable to utter a single
word. Just then, Siennaâs voice came from upstairs. âItâs been three years already. What use do you
have to talk about it now?â Anna nodded desperately in agreement. Taking a glance at Sienna, Aidan
smiled coldly with his lips pursed. âIâm quite the vengeful person. Even if it was something that had
happened thirty years ago, I will remember every single detail about it.â Sienna asked, âThen, do you
have any evidence?â
Aidan laughed sarcastically for a brief moment before he replied, âAlright.â He then turned around and
ordered his men, âFrom now on, the moment Anna takes a step out of this house, just go ahead and
break her legs. There is no need to report back to me before you do so since I donât care where her
destination is.â Anna widened her eyes in disbelief. She then tried to make a final struggle against
Aidanâs instruction. âAunt Siennaâ¦â Turning his attention back to Sienna, Aidan said, âIâll find you your
evidence. I wonât be letting anyone who was involved off scot-free.â Although Siennaâs expression
remained the same, her grip on the railing gradually tightened. Then, Aidan broke eye contact and left
with long strides. After Aidan left, Gordon took a seat on the couch before he asked, âAnna, tell me
honestly, what is going on?â ⦠Inside the black Rolls-Royce. Jonathan asked, âPresident Pearson,
since the incident happened three years ago, we might not be able to find evidence about it.
Not to mention, Mrs. Pearson might have disposed of any evidence a long time ago.â Unsurprised by
Jonathanâs remark, Aidan said, âIf we canât find evidence three years ago, then we should turn our
attention to a much recent incident.â âPresident Pearson, are you referring to Madamâs car accident?â
Although everyone knew that the accident was orchestrated by Sienna, they were troubled by the fact
that there was no evidence to pin Sienna as the mastermind. Aidan instructed, âKeep searching for
Siennaâs men. They canât all be dead.â âUnderstood.â After a while, Aidan said, âKeep an eye on Anna.
She may turn out to be crucial in taking down Sienna.â Hesitantly, Jonathan asked, âThen, if Miss Anna
does take a step out of the house, do we reallyâ¦â âDo I look like Iâm joking?â Jonathan immediately
turned solemn. âUnderstood.â Aidan then lowered the car window before he said in annoyance, âDid
Elijah and Leanna become closer recently?â
âThatâs⦠Iâll investigate it right now.â âNo need,â Aidan said. âHead to the studio.â Listening to Aidan,
Jonathan became speechless briefly. Clearing his throat, he said, âPresident Pearson, Iâm sure the
studio is closed right now.â Aidan frowned. âThen, to her house.â âIf we go there right now, Madam
would definitely be angryâ¦â With an extremely annoyed expression, Aidan asked, âThen what am I
supposed to do?â After pondering for a moment, a flash of inspiration came to Jonathan. âWe can try
asking Madam whether the custom-made jewelry is done.â âShe would be angrier if I did that.â Looks
like that wonât work, Jonathan thought before he tried to come up with another idea. After a short
moment, he said, âPresident Pearson, must you meet with Madam right at this instant?â With his eyes
widened slightly, Aidan looked at Jonathan indifferently. Jonathan immediately explained, âWhat I mean
is, with how late is it now, Madam might be fast asleep already.
How about we come up with a suitable reason tomorrowâ¦â Aidan remained silent. Just when Jonathan
thought that he could relax right now, Aidan said, âGive me your phone.â Elsewhere. Leanna had just
finished drawing up the design draft when her phone on her desk lit up, displaying an unknown number.
Rubbing her neck, she went outside the balcony to answer the phone as well as to take in some fresh
air. âHello, whoâs this?â âItâs me.â Speechless upon hearing that manâs voice, Leanna resisted the urge
to immediately end the call and started playing dumb. âI think youâve called the wrong number. I donât
knowââ âLeanna McKinney, just try ending the call now and see what happens after.â At that, Leanna
gritted her teeth.
âOh, so itâs President Pearson. But, I donât remember this being your phone number.â âSince youâve
already blacklisted my number, I wouldnât be able to get through to you unless I changed my number,
no?â âOh,â Leanna answered while thinking to herself that she would blacklist this number as well.
Noticing that the b*stard remained silent, she asked, âPresident Pearson, do you have something to
say?â On the other end of the line, Aidan said in displeasure, âCanât I call you even if I have nothing to
say?â Leanna became puzzled at Aidanâs reply. Just where did this b*stard get his courage to order me
around? Not to mention, why does he think that I have to follow whatever he says? She then took a
deep breath to calm herself before she said, âIâm busy. If you have nothing to say, President Pearson,
then Iâllââ âDid you meet Anna today?â âYeah. Not only did I meet her, but I even gave her a slap. Are
you calling to tell me off?â Ignoring Leannaâs gloomy tone, Aidan said indifferently, âShe wonât be
appearing in front of you ever again.â
Slightly taken aback by Aidanâs words, Leanna asked tentatively, âSheâs still alive, right?â âDo you wish
for her to be?â Leanna immediately noticed Aidanâs tone was devoid of emotion, and that his question
did not seem to be rhetorical, nor did he sound like he was joking. After a brief moment of silence, she
said quietly, âI only wish for her to get what she deserves.â âShe will,â Aidan said. Silently, Leanna
turned her gaze far into the horizon. After a few seconds passed, Aidan spoke up again. âWhat else do
you want to say?â Speechless at how bold of Aidan to utter such a statement, as though she was the
one harassing him with this call, she was about to make a retort but was interrupted by Aidan. âStay
away from Elijah Parker.â Listening to how commanding Aidanâs tone was, Leanna immediately
refused. âNo! Why should I?!â With his voice becoming gentler by a few levels, Aidan asked, âWhy
not?â âThen, let me throw that back at you. Why should I stay away from him?â âI donât like it.â âOh, then
thatâs your problem. Itâs got nothing to do with me in the slightest.â After that, she ended the call without
waiting for Aidan to answer. Just what is wrong with this b*stard?
Back in the black Rolls-Royce, Jonathan could feel the temperature in the car had dropped to a
dangerous level of coldness. Although he had extended his hand to try and get the phone back from
Aidan, his survival instincts prevented him from doing so. If this goes just as I expected, Madam would
definitely blacklist this number as well, he thought. Fortunately, Jonathan was an outstanding assistant,
as he owned several dozens of phone numbers. With a chilly expression, Aidan tossed the phone back
to Jonathan and said, âLetâs go back.â âUnderstood.â At Castor Villa. Aidan switched on the lights in the
cold guest room. That heartless woman really took everything with her. When he returned to his room,
he went to his cloakroom and took his tie off. It was then his eyes fell on the row of untouched clothes
and pieces of jewelry. A few seconds later, the manâs thin lips curled into a smile.
