Chapter 92
Ethan’s Vengeance of Love
âYes, sir.â So, heâs still suspecting the madam. He wants to find out why she was really there. It was his
job to look into it, though Caleb thought it was unnecessary. He thought Alice was there at the airport to
welcome Ethan. Why else would she come home with him? A minute later, Caleb received a text from
Bradley. After looking at it, he said, âSir, the madam didnât go to any malls. She got a ride and left.â
âTell Bradley to tail her and give me the location. Iâll be right there. Make sure she doesnât realize youâre
following her.â Ethan stood up and left the room, ignoring his guest.
He knew she had something to hide from him, and he intended to find out what it was. Quickly, he went
downstairs. His car was waiting right outside, so he could still catch up with Alice.
Bradley had given Caleb Aliceâs location, and Caleb quickly caught up to her car. He then called
Bradley, âThe madamâs in a cab with a plate ending with number 549. I saw her getting in the cab
herself,â said Bradley quickly.
The speaker was on, so Ethan heard that. He quickly locked on to the car Bradley said. His eyesight
was great, so even though there was some distance between him and the car, he noticed there was
someone in the backseat. He couldnât see it clearly, but her hair was almost the same as Aliceâs. âAre
you sure you saw her getting in the car and that she didnât change cars?â Ethan was worried. That
woman was as sly as a fox, so he must be on guard.
âDonât worry. I saw her getting in the car myself, and Iâve been following her since then. The car hasnât
stopped once, so she couldnât have gotten out of the car.â Bradley had always been a careful person,
especially when it came to Aliceâs matter. He had been keeping an eye on the car this whole time, and
he didnât even blink once. Thereâs no way I got the wrong person.
Ethan looked at the cab again, but he still couldnât see clearly due to the distance between them. He
wasnât sure if that passenger was Alice.
âSir, should I keep following the car, or should I leave this to you?â Heâs following me. Not going to
overtake me, I see. I donât think I should stand between him and the car.
âKeep following the car.â Ethan was worried his car might stand out too much. Moreover, Alice just rode
in his car, so she would surely recognize it. He didnât want her to realize he was tailing her, so he
lagged behind Bradley.
âSure.â Bradley kept following the cab, keeping the same distance between them.
Ethan was keeping an eye on the cab as well. It wasnât going too fast as there was a speed limit here.
The passenger had been quiet all this time, and he couldnât figure out if anything was wrong with her
from this distance. He tailed the car to see where Alice was going, so he couldnât get too close. She
knew her way around anti-espionage.
There werenât a lot of cars on this road, but there werenât too few of them either, so him following
Bradley wouldnât raise suspicion, and Ethan made sure he wasnât going too fast either. However, he
was surprised that the ride went on for almost an hour. It was nearing the outskirts.
Ethan narrowed his eyes and said to Caleb, âOvertake them.â He wanted to find out if the passenger in
the car was Alice. If Caleb overtook the car, he could see the passenger the moment he passed by the
cab. If it was her, then he still had Bradley following the car, so all Caleb had to do was turn around and
go back to Bradley.
However, the cab turned a corner at this moment and went into an alleyway. It was too narrow to
overtake the cab, so Caleb slowed down. Ethan paused for a moment, a conflicted look surfacing in his
eyes.
The cab came to a stop in front of a neighborhood, and the passenger opened the door. Bradley
stopped his car. The moment the passenger opened the door, Bradley kept an eye on the cab.
Ethan was staring at the cab as well. The womanâs head showed first. Her hair was similar to Aliceâs,
and then he saw her shirt. It was the same color as the one Alice wore.
But when the woman finally got out of the car, Bradley froze in shock. Thatâs not the madam. But how
could it be? I saw her getting in the car, and it hasnât stopped since. She never got out of the car, so
why is the passenger not her?
Ethan narrowed his eyes and sneered. I knew she wouldnât let us track her that easily. That sly little fox
tricked Bradley. He saw her getting in the cab, and it hasnât stopped since. There is only one
explanation for this. She never got in the car in the first place.
As he suspected, Alice never got in the cab. Not long after she left the building, she noticed she was
tailed. Her seven years of living in constant concern for her survival helped her develop anti-espionage
skills. She wasnât sure who was tailing her, but she didnât have time to find out as she was in a hurry to
pick Apollo up.
She couldnât risk exposing Apollo, so no matter who her pursuer was, she must shake them off. Just
then, she noticed a woman with similar hairstyle and clothes walking by, so she gave her seventy-five
dollars to help her out with this trick, and it succeeded.
âShe mustâve realized Bradley was tailing her, so she came up with this plan of escape.â In other words,
Alice didnât mean to lie to Ethan, or so Caleb was saying.
âFind out where she went.â Ethan looked dark. He didnât care about her reasons for leaving. The fact
remained that she lied to him and left the place. She didnât even stay for five minutes after going to that
place, and then she wanted to leave. Why is she in a hurry? Who is the person she wants to meet?
