Even though her face remained the same, it felt more weathered. She was also wearing a fluorescent work uniform instead of branded clothes.

“Stop being so rude, Serenity!” Zeke stopped her and said.

“Rude?” Serenity snickered. She looked at him flatly. “Are you going to let Jenny pluck my nails again or break my fingers again? Will you only be happy if I can’t even hold a broom anymore?”

It had been three years, but some of the hurt was still there even after all this time.
