The safe space of Zohal started restraining her. The house she called home wasn't a normal home. It was different from normal in an abnormal way.
After giving her exams, she was finally done with her degree. She was not waiting for the results. She hoped she would get good marks. She could easily grasp an opportunity to work in one of the finnest companies in the nearby city.
A few weeks ago, she just wanted to move out to have a better future but after that one stormy night her future was with this man whom she couldn't understand.
He was as cold as ice and at the same time he was as warm as fire. He had some issues. Some really big issues and this realization was hitting her badly these days.
Zohal turned on the lights of the dark corner, he was sitting in a rocking chair. He had been silent after coming back from the office in the evening. He looked depressed. Most of the time he would be like this, distant from her in every way. He could stay like that forever. Cold and silent.
He looked at her who intervened in his private space. She smiled at him warmly. He kept looking at her emotionlessly, with his cold eyes. She was expecting a little smile from him.
"What happened to you? Is everything alright?" She came closer to him, and asked worriedly. She really did care for him. Nowadays, her life surrounds this emotionless man.
He shook his head and kept his silent. His one hand grasped her wrist and he made her sit on his lap.
"What are you doing?" She giggled.
He took her lips in a long smooch. She melted under his intense sight and warm touches.
"Keep laughing" These words made her laugh harder. He kept looking at her intensely.
"Why?" She stopped giggling and asked with a little smile on her face.
"You look beautiful" His twinkled for a moment, getting out of the cold shell.
"Why are you so silent?" She asked, cupping his cheek.
"I love silence!" He said in his deep voice, placed his cold hand over hers resting on his cheek.
She removed her hand from his face and rested her head on his shoulder. Be wrapped his arms around her, rested his chin on her head and closed his eyes.
"It's cold today!" She commented.
"Hmm"
"I am feeling very cold" she complained.
"Do you want me to warm you beautiful?" He lifted her chin and made her look into his eyes.
"Yes" She smiled shyly.
He leaned down at her face and slammed his lips to hers taking them roughly. His beard scratched her soft and delicate skin. He shoved his tongue inside her mouth. She closed her eyes.
He rose up from the chair holding her in his arms. He walked straight into their bedroom holding her close to his heart.
He warmed her body, heart and soul.
...
"I am sorry madam!" The stranger apologized to her for bumping into her in his haste.
"It's okay" She lightly smiled at him to ease him.
"It's not okay really. It's such an open space but I am still blind to bump into you. I was just lost somewhere. My mind was lost" He explained.
"Don't worry. It's totally fine" She replied nicely.
"You eased me madam! Thank you" He replied gratefully.
"Not need to mention" She said in courtesy.
"You live nearby?" He questioned.
"Yes" She nodded and looked for her husband who was gathering woods in the forest. She found him. He threw the woods he gathered in anger on the field and walked to them hastily.
"What's happening?" He snapped at them.
"Nothing Sir! I was just leaving" The man took his leave, feeling uncomfortable under the strict gaze of Zarrar.
"Who was he?" Zarrar asked her strictly.
"Nobody. Just a stranger"' She told him. She was a little shocked at his tone. Why was he so enraged.
"What was he doing here?" He asked angrily.
"I don't know" She was defensive.
"What was the need to talk to a stranger. I saw you smiling at him. Why did you do that" He clenched his teeth.
"I just behaved nicely to a stranger that's it. Why are you so overreacting?" She asked uncomfortably.
"You smiled at a man. Talked to him unnecessarily. Do you think there is nothing wrong with it? You are a married woman. Don't you dare to do that again!!" He held her chin and said bitterly to her.
"You are hurting me" She tried to push his hand away.
"So did you" He left her chin and grabbed her hand. He dragged her through the forest to the cottage.
"Please slow down!"
"Leave my hand. It's hurting"
"What's wrong with you?"
She kept asking him but he chose not to speak a word to her. Tears rolled down on her cheeks. He was being rude to her for no reason.
He locked the main door with the keys. He left her in the lounge and locked himself in the bedroom. She was astonished at his odd behavior. She looked at her wrist. His finger marks were imprinted on her skin. She traced the pink lines on her wrist with sadness in her eyes.
It was late at night. He still hadn't opened the door. She didn't knock. She was deeply hurt by his behavior. She decided not to talk to him until he apologized to her.
She couldn't understand what hurt him. She didn't do anything wrong. What was wrong with this man?
She didn't prepare the dinner nor did he ask for it. She was sitting on the floor near the fireplace. The weather was cold and she needed warmth. In the past few days, he would provide her warmth. She missed him although he was present with her under the same roof.
The bedroom door unlocked and he walked out. She watched him. His dress was changed. His eyes were red and he looked tired.
He walked near her and gave her his hand to get up. She looked at his hand for a second and then stared at his face. His cold gaze was fixed at her face and his eyes were lifeless. She was a little scared to look into them.
She looked away and gave her hand in his. He pushed her to the nearby wall. Her back touched the wall. He placed his both hands around her on the wall and leaned down at her face.
"I am a very possessive man Zohal! I won't tolerate it if you talk to a man again. No other man deserves to see your beauty. Nobody has a fucking right to see what's mine.
Your smile. Your eyes. Your body. It belongs to me. Only me. Only I have right on you. Don't you dare to snatch it from me. The day you lost yourself in my arms willingly I marked you mine. I have already told you there is no way back. You are mine now.
And I don't tolerate when anyone tries to snatch what's mine and you Zohal! You are only mine" He told her like a mad man.
Zohal was frightened at his behavior. He was mad. He really was.
