Chapter 5
My Overweight Love
Mom true to her word. She just stocked healthy food to our fridge. No ice cream, no cakes and no chocolates. She also registered me to a gym near our village.
"Mom, I can't."
"No, I already pay the membership fee. Now, go to the gym. Here's your membership card. Make sure you lose something when you come back here."
"Mom, why are you doing this to me?" I protest.
"Son, do this for your future boyfriend okey. By the way, I hired a muscular handsome instructor for you. I hope you motivated after seeing him." mom said smiling.
"I'm not interested." I said and left with heavy feet.
In the gym I felt embarrassed when I entered. Mostly the people there have a good body shape while me hiding in a oversized t-shirt and pants.
"Hi, welcome to our gym. How can I help you?" The receptionist asked.
"Ah, I... Actually my mom applied me here. Here's my membership card." I said shyly.
He look at the card. "Oh, I remembered, your mom came here the other day. She said, she want her son to have a good and healthy body."
"She said that? But I'm already healthy now."
"Maybe she mean a healthy good body build."
"Maybe." I just agreed.
"Wait, I look the instructor for you."
After a while, the instructor came toward me.
"Hi, I'm Chad your personal instructor."
"Hello." I greeted. Mom is correct the instructor is so handsome and muscular, but definitely not my type.
"Let's go, I teach you the basic first."
"Okey."
After 3 hours in the gym, I felt my body aching everywhere. I can't imagined I did it that long.
"Next time, lets make more intense the routine." the instructor said.
"O-Okey."
"By the way, can I call you by your first name or nickname perhaps? Just to make more comfortable to each other."
"Sure. Sure." I said.
"Its Ramices, right?"
"Ram, I'm okey by that."
"Okey Ram. Call me Chad."
"Chad." I repeat.
"Well, see you the day after tomorrow."
"Yes. See you again. Bye." I said politely.
I don't know how I got home. All I know, my body started to going numb after exercising.
"Mom, where are you? I'm home."
"Here, in the kitchen." she replied.
"What are you cooking?" I asked when I saw him cooking something.
"I cooked you healthy meal."
"Mom, just give me ice cream instead." I requested.
"No." she refused.
"Nah! I take shower first. Just call me when the meal ready."
"Okey. Go head, you smell sweaty already."
"What do you expect?" I said in sassiness.
After showering, I lay my back to my bed. 'Gosh, it really hurt all over. It's mom's fault.' Sometimes I want to hate my mom for doing things that against my will. I dazed for a long time until I remember my mail inbox. I'm hoping a company email me for interview. But as usual, there's no messages. I asked myself what I've done in my past life why I suffer this much in this current life of mine.
