Chapter 44 (Cole's Pov)

I was kidding about the 700k part.

Cole's Pov

I had enough. I blocked Jessica's number.

She just couldn't leave me alone. I was stuck in the middle of the road, all thanks to the traffic jam. And, on top of that, Jessica kept disturbing me.

I turned on the radio, only to turn it off when I found Taylor Swift's cringey music playing.

Xandra's name flashed on my phone's screen, as I immediately picked her call.

"Hey kitten." I said, only to hear Jessica's voice from the  other side.

"Kitten? You call Xandra kitten?" She asked.

"Shut up. Why are you calling through Xandra's phone?"

"Because, my best friend of an idiot wasn't picking up my call. Do you even know what happened?"

She sounded panicked.

"What am I missing? Did something happen to Xandra? Is she okay?"

"Your kitten is fine. Mason just got into an accident, though. I called your parents, they're here. Where the fuck are you?"

"Traffic. I am on my way. Just text me the address."

"Okay. Reach here as soon as possible."

"Wait, whose voice is that?"

I could hear someone's familiar voice in the background.

"That's Antony."

"What the hell is he doing there?"

"Xandra called him. They're both fighting over something."

"Uh, I'll call you later."

I hung up.

What the fuck was going on there?

I had to reach there as soon as possible.

Why the fuck did Xandra call Antony there?

I walked in the hospital building, as I went straight to the recieption.

"Where can I find Mason Parker?" I asked the blonde recieptionist, who was typing something on the computer.

She looked up at me, as she smiled seductively.

"And who must you be?" She asked me, in a sick tone.

"His brother." I answered, boredly.

It was obvious that this blonde girl was attracted to me.

"I'll take you to the room." She said, as she walked out from her table and asked me to follow her.

She swayed her hips a little, trying to grab my attention, but I didn't say anything, just stared ahead.

"This is all your fucking fault. You are the reason he is in a life and death situation." Xandra screamed at Antony, who looked as angry as her.

"My fault? You are the reason why he came running to you. Why the fuck did you wave at him?" He questioned back, and Xandra got shut.

Antony closed his eyes, taking deep breaths, before opening them.

"Look, it was not your fault. Not my fault. Okay?" He said, and Xandra weakly nodded as she sat down on one of the chairs in the waiting lounge. Antony was about to sit on the seat next to hers, but stopped when he heard Bethany's voice, calling him.

Antony sat next to Bethany.

Looking at Antony, I realized that he was still the same. He looked panicked. For Mason.

Mason was his best friend once,

before all this shit happened.

"Hey. We're here." The receptionist said, to me. Everyone looked up at me, at that moment.

I nodded at her, before walking ahead and sitting next to Xandra.

Xandra didn't notice me, because she had her hands holding her head.

"Hey." I whispered, only to get engulfed by her hug.

Damn. I love her.

Placing my chin above her head, as she hugged me.

A few moments later, I felt my shirt getting wet.

Shit. She's crying.

"Hey. He'll be okay. He has you. He has me. He has everybody. He can't leave leave us just like that." I whispered, as I pulled away from the hug.

"It's all my fault. I'm sorry, Cole." She sniffled.

"No. It isn't." I said, firmly. I grabbed both her small smooth hands in mine.

Xandra stared at me, her big brown eyes glassy. Her cheeks flushed. Her lips parted. Her brown hairs were a mess.

I tugged a piece of her hair, behind her ear.

She still managed to look beautiful, even after crying so much.

All of a sudden, I felt someone staring at me.

I broke my eye contact with Xandra, as I looked around.

My eyes found Antony's, who was staring at me, intently.

He stood up, Bethany stood up with him, as he walked towards us, only to sit next to me. And Bethany sat next to Antony.

"I'm sorry Xandra." Antony said, after a while.

"For what?" She asked.

"For blaming you. It was actually my fault." He said, and I sat between them, thinking whose fault it actually was.

"No. It wasn't. I blamed you because of J--" Xandra stopped when Antony signalled her.

What do these guys think? That I didn't notice them talking or them having this signalled talk.

"Guys. I'm still here." I said, and both of them looked at me.

"How did this shit happen?" I asked after both of them, didn't say anything.

"He was walking around the park, when Jessica and I found him, after we came out of the grocery store. He ran towards me, as soon as he saw me. As he was crossing the road, a car just..." Xandra trailed off.

"Where is Antony's fault here?" I could'nt help but ask.

"Uh. I don't know. I just blamed him." Xandra said, and at that moment, I knew she was lying.

She was too innocent to lie.

"Mr. Parker, there is a bad news." A doctor who emerged from somewhere, said.

"What is it? Is Mason okay?" Dad questioned.

Even he looked troubled.

"Mason has lost a lot of blood. We need to find a donor for him, and the worst part is, he has a rare blood group." The doctor informed everyone.

I heard Xandra gasped loudly.

"What is his blood group, though? Someone in his family might match with his." Antony suggested.

"No one. O- is his blood group." I answered, Nonchalantly.

"Wait, there is someone I know with the same blood group."

"I've got the same blood group."

Jessica and Bethany said, in a unison, before looking at each other.

Maybe, they could solve thier rivalry, because of this situation.

They nodded at each other, before Bethany stood up.

"He's awake, now." The doctor said, and my mom rushed inside the room.

My dad followed behind her.

I looked at Xandra, waiting for her to come, but she shook her head.

"Can I?" Antony asked, and I nodded at him, as I watched him, go inside as well.

Bethany and all my other friends went in, as well.

Only Xandra and I were left.

"Go on. Go meet Mason." Xandra said, her voice cracking in the end.

"Not without you. Stop blaming yourself." I said, a bit rudely.

"Why shouldn't I?" She asked, helplessly.

"What happened there? And don't give me that bullshit, please." I asked her, one more time.

She sighed.

"Well, it was James." She said, looking anywhere but at me.

What the fuck?

"Uhm, who's Xandra?" A nurse appeared from the room. Mom and Dad left the room, as they went to talk to the doctor.

"Me." Xandra said, hesitantly.

"Mason is calling you in. And his brother too." The nurse said, before going back in.

Xandra and I walked in to the room.

Antony was sitting at one side of the bed, holding Mason's hand.

Mason looked very pale. His head was wrapped around with some white bandage. And there were wires attached to both his hands.

Xandra sat at one side of Mason, holding his free hand, just opposite to Antony.

I stood beside her, not bothering to sit down.

"Hey buddy." She said, smiling at him, a little.

"Hey. I got you something, Xandra." He said, as he tried sitting up, but Xandra stopped him.

"What is it?" She asked him.

Ryder passed the a bag to Mason, but Antony took a hold of it.

Mason took the bag from Antony and gave it to Xandra.

"Open it." He said, exicited.

Xandra took out a DVD, as she stared at it.

It was the DVD of the film, venom.

Xandra and Mason were fans of Marvel Avengers. It wasn't hidden that Antony was a fan too.

"We can watch this together. Me, you and Tony. We can have so much fun. And, we'll add Cole too." Mason said, happily.

Xandra just hugged him.

"Hey! What about me and the others?" Ryder asked, who was standing next to Chase.

These two were too close now. Probably Best friends.

"Uh...you guys can come too." Mason said, after thinking for a while.

"Can I come too?" Bethany asked, quietly.

Everyone looked at Jessica, who just nodded.

"Yeah. It'll be fun." Mason said, smiling at her.

This boy just can't stop smiling. He's too innocent.

"Wait, guys. Have you seen Sam and Kylie? They're both missing. I mean, I haven't seen them since lunch." Blake said, all of a sudden.

Xandra got a call at that moment.

"What the fuck?" She said, as she hung the phone.

She quickly started doing something on her phone.

"What's wrong, kitten?" Jessica asked.

I gave her a death glare, and she just winked at me.

"Kitten, who?" Ryder asked Jessica.

Xandra blushed a little, before clearing her throat.

"There's a problem." She said, loudly.

"What?" We all asked her.

"Sam just uploaded a photo." Xandra said, carefully.

"What's wrong with that?" I asked her.

"A photo with Kylie and James."
