I watched the interaction happening in the room from the far corner I had stood in.
I wanted the family to have their own moment. I watched as Cisco and Lyra showered Freda with love or should I say I watched as Freda took it all in.
She was a strong woman. I noticed how she fought back tears when Cisco promised her she would be okay after eating.
I knew she was torn with not being able to assure her son that she was going to be okay.
She didnât deserve all what she was going through. I didnât deserve to be loved by this woman but that didnât stop me from noting how her hair fell over her face and back in graceful

âAlphaâ he greeted and I nodded in acknowledgement. âIâm assuming youâve brought newsâ I asked and he nodded.
âAny update?âFreda asked, interrupting us and I saw the conflict in Daneâs eyes as to whether he should inform her or not but he finally relented as Freda was directly involved in all this.
I noticed the way Freda gestured to Lyra to distract Cisco and then Dane began to go into the details of his findings.
âI was just discussing with Kaiden about how we would deal with the werewolf councilâ. He revealed and Freda urged him to go on.
âSome of them had collided with Safiya to pass out an unjust judgment on you. I found that out after doing some diggingsâ. He revealed to her and she gasped and I saw as color drained from her cheeks as realization dawned on her.
âSo we have to find a way to remove them from their position and put them behind bars. We need to find concrete evidence that is strong enough to prove they byp**ed the laws of our clanâ.

âNow everyone thinks Iâm guilty of something I have absolutely no idea ofâ she said exasperatedly. I felt sorry for her because there were no words of comfort I could offer her that would make her feel better.
âDonât worry Freda, we will surely find a way to prove your innocence. Just focus on getting betterâ.
âYou have a loving family counting on you to stay strongâ. I gestured towards Lyra and Cisco as they looked at her lovingly from the couch which they were seated on and that seemed to ginger her up because she gave us a warm smile.
âI trust you Kaiden but sometimes there are some things even we have no control overâ. She murmured softly and I knew what she meant even without her saying it but there were no words of comfort I could offer her because she was right.
