Ava and Matt at the fair the day they kissed♡︎

(This is very "weird" in a way since you don't know their whole relationship before the fair and the buildup but I thought people would want to know how their first kiss went and maybe just maybe I'll write their own story someday)

| Ava's pov |

Zara is such a weirdo...but she's my weirdo so I'm ignoring the fact she's been acting more strange than usual for this fair day

But I guess that's, Zara

I get ready and feels anxious at the thought of seeing Matt

I might act as If I hate him but the more time we spend the more I can't help but crave anything he's willing to give me

Even if it's a little annoying comments

I'm trying to be nicer and show my interest little by little but the big dummy isn't getting my hints

deep down I'm terrified to get hurt again, I've been used, hurt, and cheated on, and going through that has made my heart get shut behind big metal bars that no one can get through

But Matt has somehow squeezed open a bar or two and the more time I spend in his company it feels that the metal bars are loosening around my heart

I don't want to assume he's a bad man or that he's a player...but my heart is terrified to let him fully in and I just hope if he wants to be more than friends that he understands I need to go slow

I'm interrupted in my thoughts by The knock on the door

I quickly grab my bag and stuff my wallet, phone, and a hair tie in case I want to put my pink hair up

I like having fun with my hair and clothing, and it's been dyed a bright shade of pink for a while.

I open the door to see the one and only Matteo looking quite gorgeous in his jeans and dark hoodie that has a snake around a rose

Of course, since Zara is a little brat she requested Matt to pick me up and drive us to the fair instead of us all going in one car

"You look nice pinky pie" he smirks as he looks over my outfit that consists of baggy light wash jeans held up by a black belt and a white crop top with an oversized black zip-up

"Why thank you Peppa pig, your outfits nice especially that hoodie" I smile

"Wasn't it daddy pig last time we talked?" He smirks

I roll my eyes as I lock my apartment door

"Yeah sometimes but right now Peppa pig feels right" I laugh while turning around and almost bumping into Matt's chest

I clear my throat and move around him and we head to the elevator

While we're going down I get a text from Zara

zee bee: we're about head out to the fair, did Matt pick you up yet?

Ava: yes he just arrived we're headed down to his car now

My zee bee: alright then, we will see you guys there

Ava: alright see you soon

"How far is the fair from here?" I ask Matt as we're headed outside towards his car

"Probably around half an hour," he says as he opens the car door for me

"Well look at that he can open a door for someone! Guess you have some sort of gentleman like quality to you" I laugh

He rolls his eyes "you don't know how much of a gentleman I can be because all you do is see the worst in me"

I feel a pinch in my heart, I know he's saying it in a joking matter but it feels almost like he thinks that's the truth

"Well then I guess I'll have to start seeing the best in you" I smile

I see the edges of his lips curl up in a small smile from the corner of my eye

"Hey, Ava! You look so cute" Zara says

I smile

"Hey, thank you, I love yours too, you look great with Enzo's hoodie on" I smirk

I see the pink tint covering her cheeks as I say that

It's so damn obvious how much Zara and Enzo like each other , and yet somehow they don't see it

"That's what I always say when I see her in my clothes," Enzo says with a hint of a smirk lingering in his expression

I laugh as I watch her cheeks turn even redder

We continue with our hellos and then get tickets and start walking around the fair a little

"Hey, we should try winning Mia a prize or something," Zara says

"Yeah that's a good idea how about Zara and I go over there to play some games and you guys could go in the opposite side and try to win some over there," Enzo says looking over at Matt

I think about it then shrug "I guess"

"Sure, does it matter what kind of stuffed animals and crap we win?" Matt asks

"Nope anything's fine," Zara says

We then go and walk over to the games

"Did you see the weird look they gave each other? Matt says breaking the silence as we walk

"You mean the one where they both smirked a little and we're basically telepathically having a conversation?" I laugh

"Yeah that, there up to some shit I know it" Matt laughs

I want to make him laugh more, just to hear that deep laugh that Pulls at my heartstrings and makes me happy

"Yeah, and what exactly would they be planning? Maybe a ruse on who can win over Mia's heart with shitty toys?" I say laughing

"Laugh all you want, I just know that look they gave each other was suspicious ," he says chuckling a little

"Okay well I guess we have to play these shitty games now and win something" I sigh

"We will just have to play as a team to have a better chance then," he says

I smile internally and I don't even know why

"Alright, what do we play first," I say looking around at all the games

"Let's try that weird ring toss game" he shrugs

"Alright" I laugh

"Your so bad at this," I say double over laughing as I watch Matt fail over and over again on the ring toss

"Okay smart ass, where's your prize then?" He raises a brow

"I will get one don't you worry" I laugh

"I'm sure you will, let's try a different game this one sucks" he sighs

"Did ya ever think that maybe it's just that you suck?" I smile

"Show me the stuffed animal you won then" he crosses his arms over his chest looking down at me

My heart Races under his stare and I feel the heat crawl up my spine at his proximity

"Let me make fun of you in piece won't you?" I sigh

He starts laughing "your something else pinky pie" he shakes his head smiling walking over to a basketball game

I throw a couple of balls but they don't end up in the basket

"ugh this is stupid" I huff

His laughs vibrate through my chest once again, I feel his chest against my back and him leaning towards me from behind

He grabs a ball and lays it in my hands then guides it up and angles it a certain way "there now shoot" I feel his low voice against my ear

I close my eyes for a second to try to calm my beating heart, I open my eyes and then throw the ball and make the basket

I squeal "that was fun" I laugh

"Thanks to me" he laughs

I roll my eyes "yeah yeah"

He makes a couple of baskets and the man says we got enough points for a small prize

Matt goes to look at the prizes and comes back to me smirking

"What's with the face" I tilt my head to the side

He puts something in front of my face, it takes me a minute to register what it is, I then start bursting out laughing

"Now that's just a creepy coincidence don't you think" I shake my head laughing

I look at the cute pig keychain with a smaller circular charm attached with an M on it

"You keep it, I doubt Mia would care for a keychain, plus it will help you remember my amazing self" he smirks

"Yeah amazing indeed" I roll my eyes

I smile looking down at the keychain "thank you" I smile as we head towards the other games

"Why don't we try that water gun shooting game," Matt says putting his hand on my lower back guiding me in the other direction

I feel tingles running all over my body from his touch, we spend so much time bickering and joking around with each other, so talking like normal people at the fair is a nice little change for us

"WHO is the loser now!!" Matt laughs as he takes the humongous pink stuffed animal from the man and looks over at me

I roll my eyes while laughing "I guess it's me" I put my hands up in surrender

"If I'm right and Zara and Enzo have some weird game there playing we're SO winning it with this stuffed animal" Matt laughs as he looks at me

"I am pretty sure that's the biggest stuffed animal in the whole fair" I smile looking at him

"You know you look adorable walking around with a big pink stuffed animal" I laugh as I look over at him while we're walking back to meet Zara, Enzo, and Mia

He starts laughing "this stuffed animal totally looks like you"

"What! You take that back" I laugh

"Relax, it's cus of your hair" he laughs

We make eye contact while laughing and I feel my heart skipping over beats that it shouldn't be skipping

We get interrupted By a scream

I look over to see Mia jumping up and down

"Look what we won," I say

"Aren't we just absolutely awesome" Matt grins as he gives the stuffed animal to Mia, but then ends up holding it while we get food because it's way too big for Mia to hold on her own

Its been hours of us, riding rides, laughing, eating, and having fun

We're walking around and then Zara says "oh look it's the Ferris wheel"

"You guys should go on that" Zara says grinning

"Us? What about you guys" I ask knowing that it's the ultimate kiss spot and it's clear Zara and Enzo like each other

"Oh well we were planning on getting some Cotten candy for Mia, so you can go without us," Enzo says

I see Enzo and Zara pass each other another damn look

Matt was right these little shits are up to something

"I guess," Matt says shrugging

My heart stops and then starts rapidly spinning as we head to the Ferris wheel line

We sit on the Ferris wheel and I break the silence

"You're right there definitely up to something" I shake my head

"So I'm not the only one who saw them smirking at each other then?" He says laughing

"Definitely not" I shake my head smiling

"They have been acting strange all day" I sigh

"Yeah, what do you think they're up to?" He says

"Well piecing together everything from, them conveniently having us be alone for a while, to the Ferris wheel that people go on to kiss...I think I know what's there trying to do" I smile

Matt doesn't say anything for a while he just stares at me, I see his eyes glance down towards my lips, my heartbeat picks up as he moves closer to me

He gets so close to me that I feel as though he hears how crazy my heart is beating at the moment

"Yeah? Do you think their plan is working?" He asks low and almost quiet

My words get caught in my throat, it's almost as though I have forgotten myself and who I am

People don't make me nervous...I'm the one to make them nervous

But the man caging me in my seat on the Ferris wheel has turned it around on me

My eyes travel Down to his lips and the minute I'm about to look at him again he says

"I'm going to kiss you, and you have approximately 5 seconds to either jump out of the cart or move over to the other side of the cart," he says low and deep and so damn serious

That gets a little laugh out of me "I don't think I want to be flying out of Ferris wheel carts anytime soon" I say quietly

"Good," he says before his lips come colliding with mine

My heart picks up speed as his lips touch mine

There perfect and mine at this moment.

I put my arms around his neck to pull him closer to me

The kiss cute and sweet, it's filled with want and with the clear build-up of what has been going on between us

The minute his tongue touches mine, I almost faint on the spot, as the kiss continues my mind goes numb and fuzzy

The only thing on my mind is how perfect and soft and warm Matt's lips are

He disconnects our lips a little bit "I guess their plan worked then"

"I guess so," I say out of breath

"Go out with me," he says against my lips

I smile "we're out right now"

"No, with just us, a date doesn't constant of our friends and a child," he says

The bars around my heart feel like they're about to fall apart

"Okay, but it's late I doubt much is open," I say quietly

I feel his smirk so close to my lips

"How about we go to the place this all started"

"The bowling ally?" I say quietly with a smile on my face

He hums in response "we can redo our first meeting, and make it a little more memorable" he says

"Okay," I say breathlessly

I can't take it anymore so I connect our lips once more

We continue to kiss until I disconnect and say against his lips "I think the ride is about to stop"

"Do we tell Enzo and Zara we know their plan?" He says smirking

I laugh "let's not, we wouldn't want them to think their master planning at keeping everything a secret didn't work"

"True" he smiles

"So are we playing against each other?" I ask while putting my bowling shoes on

"Would it be us if we didn't make this a competition?" He laughs

"True" I smile

After playing and talking for a while he drives me home

In the car before he leaves I tell him about my past relationships and how I'm scared to get hurt and that if we're going to do this he needs to respect the fact I want to take it slow, and how I want to wait for any sexual intimacy for a while...

"I won't ever intentionally hurt you Ava, but you call the shots in how fast or slow this goes...got it?" He says lifting my chin so we make eye contact

In the months of us hanging out, I've never felt happier but more scared before

But he kicks away any fear with his next sentence

"And Ava...the day I hurt you, I give you the permission to do whatever the hell you want with my heart since you have the power with it with it being in your hands"

With that sentence and the seriousness in his tone, along with the gaze of his beautiful brown eyes on me, the bars around my heart completely fall

They fall and I don't even care, he's giving me the power with how fast or slow the relationship goes and I couldn't be more grateful

I grab his face and connect our lips

This one wasn't like the one we shared on the Ferris wheel or at the bowling ally

This one is sweet and slow and shows he's serious about everything he said

"Thank you" I whisper against his lips

"I think I should be the one thanking you...especially for giving me a chance" he whispers

Yeah...the bars protecting my heart are definitely gone

| Matteo's Pov |

She's it for me.

The minute I saw her cute ass in the bowling alley I knew I was in trouble

But now months later I know without certainty she has my heart...I need and want her in my life.

Im giving her the power and choice in how slow she wants to take this

I will wait as long as she needs me to

I will wait for my pinky pie
