Her Life with the Prince (Completed)
XIV
What was going on here? I tried to speak out this question, but my mouth became dry and my voice hid in the deepest part of my throat. I did not know how to speak first, and second, I forgot how to close my mouth because Prince Alexander, the man who said that I should stay away from him, was breathtaking beautiful with his camouflage army uniform.
We looked at each other for the rest of my life, it seemed like that, but it was only a metaphor. I felt his eyes roamed my body as if undressing me in his imagination. Oh, if only he knew how I always remembering his naked state every night.
However, words of two weeks ago came out again as if a wall covering me from him. I tried for the rest of my past few days to stop thinking of him, but I found it to be the hardest task I did in my twenty-two years of my life. I was also dreaming of him and sometimes, I wished I would not wake up anymore. At least in my dream, he was still the Prince Alexander who kissed me, the playful man that could close the world for the two of us.
After a long silence or it was only my perspective, Prince Alexander tore his gaze away from me and looked at his sister before he gave a bad stare to Ben.
"What's that bastard doing here?" I sucked all the air when the Prince asked that. I thought his question referred to me, but it was his sister's boyfriend.
"Alex, stop calling Ben that way, will you?" Princess Victoria glared at his older brother, and walked in front of him. "How many times do I need to say that?"
"As long as you are still with him," he shot back, and sat on the chair next to me.
I looked at Ben who just watching his girlfriend and its brother talking aloud as if it did not matter if the people around them heard them. Ben seemed like regretting he was here and I wanted to say that he did not need to get worried about Prince Alexander because he hated loyal people like Ben. The Prince was the exact opposite of that attitude.
"Ugh," Princess Victoria released an infuriated exhale before going back to her seat, but added, "Just pretend that you two are okay. Please." She looked back and forth to her boyfriend and brother.
Ben nodded, but the Prince had something wrong in his blood, "I'm not a good pretentious, remember?"
"Okay, so keep your mouth shut."
A waiter came to our table to get our order. I placed the cheapest on the menu, which was Grilled Chicken. Princess Victoria began to protest when I told her that I was in my special diet now. Of course, that was only an invention; I did not want her to spend more money because of me after this expensive dress I was wearing right now.
Quiet but dangerous was the phrase that could describe our table before the two waiters served our food. We started eating our food still in full silence until the not typical Prince talked.
"What's your current job, Bastard?"
Before Ben could respond, Princess Victoria grimaced, "Alex!"
Prince Alexander raised his both hands, "Okay, okay, relax," He turned his attention again to the man sitting across to him, "What's your current job?"
I saw the princess shook her head, and Ben answered, "I was still working with my Dad in pier."
"So, how come you still encircle the little Victoria's head? For sure, she is the one who pays everything if you go outside," he insulted the awful young man that I wanted him to strangle for doing that.
"Oh my freak, Alexander, Ben is the son of the Pier's owner and soon to be one, so stop being so rude. And for your information, he pays for everything and even that food you're eating right now, he's the one who will pay for that!" Princess Victoria is in the urge of leaving and slapping his brother at this moment.
"Oh really?" the bad man beside me challenged, "Call the waiter, I will double the payment for these foods."
"Why are you acting like you own the whole world?" Finally, I got my trembling voice behind those bars in my throat. Finally, I could give this man a lesson, "Ben is better than you."
"Are you mocking me, Miss?" he narrowed his eyes as if calculating my every move.
"Yes, because between you two, you are the bastard," I stare back with the same level of intensity.
"Bastard," he drank his wine until the glass emptied and said, "Let's see how bastard I am." He grabbed my wrist and forced me to come with him.
I looked back at the Princess and her boyfriend who were both gawping on us. I needed help but no one stood from them, and I saw Princess Victoria swallowed. This was reckless. It was better if I died now, or someone would erase me from this time. Maybe, it was better if my mother did not give birth to me. Oh mom, how you need you right now.
"Hey," I was pulling my wrist from him, "I'm going to shout here that you kidnap me if you don't stop holding me!"
"Go! As if they'll believe you," he smirked and continued to walk until we stopped in the black Ford. Were all the Royal cars black?
He opened the passenger seat's door without breaking his grasp. He pushed me inside, in a little gentle manner, and closed the door hard once I was inside. He sat in the driver's seat and switched on the engine. He joined the traffic on the busy road of London.
"What do you think you are, Your Highness?" I asked him sarcastically and continued, "We know you're the Prince but it doesn't mean that you can judge and handle our lives!" I waited for his response but when I heard nothing, I punched him on his right arm and the car moved in a bad direction.
I screamed, I thought we would collide with another car. I saw the driver open his window and shouted at us, but we did not hear it because the car was sound proof.
"You want us to die?" the Prince of England glanced at me.
"You're not answering my question," I sat back and crossed my arms, "You should apologize to Ben," He muttered under his breath, but I had no time to understand what he said, "He loves your sister so much. You should be happy with that. At least Princess Victoria never met a guy like you."
"Like me?" His focus was still on the road.
"Yes, like you. You think all the girls are playing toys. Unlike Ben, he is loyal to the Princess ever since, and I see in both of them that they're unconditionally in love with each other," I explained with all mighty I had.
"So, you're saying I'm not loyal?"
"Who told you you're loyal?" I laughed, "Tell me first before you crack a joke, okay?"
"Don't dare me, Miss," I knew he was watching me in the corner of his eye.
"What?" I asked innocently, "Are you going to rape me? Oh come on, I know you won't take a risk to kiss me again. I already know how bad I am kissing other people."
"You're a bad kisser?" he raised his eyebrow and looked at me once the traffic light turned to red.
"Yes, you told me that I am a bad kisser."
"When did I say that?"
"After the financial reporting," I avoided any eye contacts, "When you said that you regret kissing me."
"But, I never said..." Before he could finish his sentence, the ring of his phone filled the car. He answered it by putting it on his ear. "What?!" He waited in another line to speak, then, "Cancel all my meetings and events for the next three days. I will go somewhere," another pause, "It's not your business anymore, Clarissa."
He hanged up his phone and continued to drive. I looked at the window to familiarize the place, but Prince Alexander's phone conversation covered my mind. Where will he go for three days? Maybe, he would be with his mistress and made her crazy on his bed for the next three days.
Who cares? I did not have any connection with him now because I was nobody to him. I was only an ordinary personal accountant who would do his financial report every month. I was a commoner who wanted money to help her family.
"It is not what I meant when I told you that," his voice echoed in the quietness of the car, I looked at him. I did not notice that the car stopped somewhere because thoughts ate me. His green eyes never failed to capture mine.
"I'm not a bad kisser?"
He leaned closer to me, and whispered, "No," he smacked his lips with mine. "How I miss kissing you?" He said once he pulled away. "You should be afraid of me."
"I'm afraid that you'll transform in your other persona," I honestly said.
He smirked and kissed me again, deeper and more passionate this time. I could think of nothing because all the things that my mind could register were his kiss.
