~15~

The light chatter in the classroom was quickly quieted as Avery walked through the door.

She set her black bag on her desk before turning around to face us—- lightly leaning back onto the desk crossing her arms.

"Today is a reading day, get your books out and enjoy" she said before turning around and grabbing her laptop.

She sat down and started typing away—- paying the class no attention, just expecting us to start reading.

I turned my head to find Nicholas looking back and forth and me and Avery with a smirk on his face.

" do you guys got something going on?" He questioned teasingly as he crossed his arms.

"Absolutely not. She is our professor Nick! " I whispered quietly trying not to get any attention directed towards us.

"Mhm, you're a bad liar you're blushing—- try not to stare so much and you make it obvious" he teased again before pulling his book out.

I rolled my eyes before my gaze went back to Avery this time she was already looking at me, one of her eyebrows raised.

I smiled slightly at her before grabbing my book as well, I've read this story a few times now I already know how it goes.

Class came to an end pretty quickly—- I packed my things up slowly as everyone else made their way out the room eager to get home.

After everyone left my gaze lifted and connected with Avery's.

I walked towards her desk, just as the door shut softly behind the last person who left.

"Is Nick gay" she questioned as she looked up from her laptop.

"Took you long enough" I joked softly as I put one of my hands on my hip, she rolled her eyes at my comment.

" what made you realize?"

"I don't know , it's just the vibes he gives off—- and I guess the way he dresses himself" she shrugged shutting her laptop and sliding it into her purse.

"What are you doing today"

"Taking Calista to one of her friends birthday party—-it's some laser tag zone, and she's making me play" Avery groaned frustrated making me chuckle.

" do you wanna come with" she asked as we walked towards the exit, since it was the end of the day.

"Uh I'll have to see if Scarlett has wor-" I was quickly cut off. " Great! I'll pick you up at 4!" She said excitedly before she walked off to her car.

I rolled my eyes at her before starting my journey to my apartment which wasn't that far.

After getting out the shower I decided on wearing dark grey sweatpants and a cream colored crop top and my sambas.

Scarlett had work tonight but Avery told me she will bring me back home and I don't have to worry.

I grabbed my bag off my bed just as there was a knock at the door—- the time on my nightstand reading 3:57.

So it must be her.

I pulled the door open to see both of my favorite people.

Calista had on a cute unicorn shirt and some leggings and Avery had on a hoodie and she had on some loose light washed jeans.

Calista of course took off to the living room where there was a movie playing on the tv.

" you look good" Avery said as her hand landed on my side—- her lips connecting with mine.

" you don't look so bad yourself" I smirked as I pulled away from her my gaze trailing her.

"Calista come on" Avery said after I turned the Tv off , I definitely don't need my electricity bill going up anymore!

We all loaded into the car before we headed off to the laser tag place.

" I'm glad You like school Calista" I smiled at the younger girl who just explained to me why she loves going to school.

Avery finished parking the car and we all made our way up to the building—- it was packed and it made me nervous I don't like being around a bunch of people.

I felt Avery's warm hand interlace with mine as we made our way through the crowded area and to the party area.

We all got placed onto teams—- unfortunately me and Avery didn't get put on the same team.

But me and Calista did!

As we were putting our gear on I looked at Avery who had her arms crossed and she had an angry look on her face.

"What's wrong baby?" I said before I could even process what I was saying. " I don't want to be on the team with these people I don't know! I wanna be on the team with you and Calista" she frowned.

"You are the biggest baby I've ever met" I grinned lightly making her roll her eyes at me. "Okay guys make a line, it's almost your turn!" The worker shouted into the small room.

" you'll be okay I promise" I said as we walked to the line—- Calista standing near the front with her friends.

" can I get a kiss" she asked as she puckered her lips , my gaze falling down to them.

"Not right now, there's a lot of people" I told her make her look around then back at me.

"What's that got to do with us?" She asked making me roll my eyes.

"Later" I replied making her frown deepen. " Mommy are you ready!" Calista cheered excitedly as she ran up to us.

" of course" Avery smiled as we all made our way into the room going separate ways.

Since Calista was on my team she stuck by my side her hand clasped onto my finger as we made our way through this maze.

There was a loud speaker in the room that told us when we could go—- me and Calista got about 10 people before we decided to go separate ways.

I was slowly creeping behind a wall—- my gaze settled on someone on the opposite team but as soon as I went to shoot I was pushed up against the cushioned walls.

A smirk was displayed on her lips as she looked down at me , I was stuck between her and the wall.

"Baby—-just let me go" I groaned as I looked up at her, her brown eyes practically black.

" uh I don't think so—- I still want that kiss from earlier" she said as she leaned in towards me, our lips not connected yet.

Her hands grabbed my waist pushing me into the wall even more as our bodies pressed against each other.

She dipped her head down finally connected our lips as my arms came up wrapping around her neck.

She licked my bottom lip requesting for access which I didn't allow—- after that her hands dropped down to my butt, as she squeezed it tightly making me gasp.

Her tongue quickly evaded my mouth—- both of us fighting for dominance which she obviously won.

Her knee lifted up slightly as they came between my legs making me let out a quiet moan.

Just as she pulled away I heard a defeated sound letting me know she shot me.

"That's not fair" I said angrily as I crossed my arms the smirk still on her lips.

"Too bad" she shrugged before she walked away making me irritated as I walked out of the playing room and to the waiting area.

There was a lot of people out here—- including Calista.

" finally! I was looking for you Abella!" Calista said as she hugged my leg and we went and found a seat.

By the end, Avery's team ended up winning and we sung happy birthday to Calista friend who happened to be named Ryland.

All three of us made our way to the car—-Calista skipping in front of me and avery.

" are you still mad at me" Avery asked with a smirk as we walked along the pavement earning a glare from me.

" yes—- no more kisses for a week" I said angrily my arms crossing against my chest.

"Baby that's not fair" she quickly protested her smirk quickly dropping.

Yea that's what I fucking thought!

" you weren't fair to me either" I said as I got into the passenger seat—- Avery getting in not to long after me.

"Kay bye" I smiled as I pulled Calista into a tight hug. " see you later Abella!" Calista said before she got back into her seat putting her seat belt on.

"I'll see you tomorrow" I said to Avery as our eyes connected. " I really can't get a Kiss" Avery asked with a pout.

"Absolutely not"  she groaned in response. " I'll see you tomorrow" she mumbled clearly irritated.

"Text me when you get home" I told her. " okay bye" Avery said before she went into the car and I walked up to the apartment building.
