Chapter 114
Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love
Chapter 114 Trick Elliot found it strange that the birthday celebration was scheduled for the morning instead of the evening.
However, he didnât dwell on it and instead focused on preparing measures to handle the inevitable stock market fluctuations when he announced the cancellation of the engagement.
Kaden had been brought back to work to assist with this task.
When they finally completed the contingency plans, it was already late in the evening.
When Elliot picked up his phone, he saw a message from Corynn, urging him to rest early and not to overwork himself.
Her concern surprised him and warmed his heart.
She was worried about him.
As Elliot held his phone, he couldnât help but smile like an idiot.
Just then, another message from Corynn came through.
âI understand your intentions. You should properly bid farewell to Amanda tomorrow.â
Reading this message, Elliot felt a surge of affection. He gripped his phone, his hands shaking with emotion. At that moment, all he wanted was to rush to Corynn and wrap her in his arms.
âCorynn, once this is all over, can we meet?â
Jason, clutching his phone, decided to give Elliot a glimmer of hope to make the eventual disappointment even more painful.
âLetâs talk once everything is settled,â he replied.
Elliot couldnât wait for the next day.
After celebrating Amandaâs birthday, he planned to seek out Corynn and propose.
As he passed a jewelry store, he recalled the ring he had once designed. It was now ready for its intended owner.
The next day, Elliot donned the suit Amanda had chosen for him and slipped the ring box into his jacket pocket.
Before heading out, he sent another message to Corynn.
Assuming she hadnât responded because she was still sleeping, he fondly recalled how she loved to sleep in during their time together.
From the rearview mirror, Kaden noticed Elliotâs cheerful demeanor and figured he must have been texting 0.0%

Corynn.
He couldnât help but marvel at how, despite all the twists and turns, Elliotâs heart still belonged to her. If Elliot had realized this sooner, it might have saved him from the convoluted journey he had endured.
Upon arriving at the hotel, Kaden followed Elliot but was stopped at the entrance.
Kaden was discontented. He didnât want to go in at all!
âWait outside. Iâll give her the gift and be right back,â Elliot instructed before heading inside.
As the hotel lobby doors swung open, Elliot stepped onto the red carpet, encircled by guests. The lobby dazzled with decorations of blue babyâs breath and twinkling lights overhead.
All eyes shifted towards him as he made his entrance.
He moved forward calmly, his eyes scanning for Amanda.
Behind him, the doors closed slowly, and a feeling that something was amiss washed over him.
âMr. Andrews, youâre finally here!â
âCongratulations, Mr. Andrews!â
Voices of congratulations echoed from the crowd. Elliot recognized the two who had just spoken but did not reply. He continued forward. His plan was clear: to find Amanda, deliver the gift, and leave as soon as possible.
He couldnât wait to see Corynn.
As he tried to suppress his mounting excitement, a sudden gasp from the crowd caught his attention.
He turned around and saw Amanda in a white wedding gown, clutching a bouquet of bright red roses with a radiant smile.
âElliot, youâre finally here,â she said.
Realization washed over Elliot. He laughed coldly, and his eyes turned icy as he looked at Amanda.
âIs this why you tricked me into coming here?â he asked.
