Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love

Reclaiming Her Love Chapter 81 Elliot is Morris ‘ Friend Elliot learned that Morris had arrived in Orelens. The two were long–standing business partners and friends, prompting him to came to meet Morris.

Unexpectedly, the client Morris was meeting turned out to be Corynn.

Elliot had arrived with Amanda. She had been persistent in her efforts to accompany him. While he was momentarily lost in thought, she seized the moment to grab his arm and greet Morris.

“Ah, Morris. It’s a pleasure to see you after all this time.” Though Amanda spoke to Morris, her gaze remained fixed on Corynn.

She was relieved to be with Elliot. Had he come alone, she feared something might have sparked between him and Corynn.

Amanda had been following Elliot all week. Despite his repeated rejections, she refused to leave, fearing he might visit Corynn again.

Fortunately, he did not.

Corynn also felt uneasy. She hadn’t expected Morris’s friend to be Elliot. Even if she had known, could she have refused to meet?

She clutched her glass and acted calm.

“It has been a while, hasn’t it? Please, take a seat,” Morris stated.

Amanda gripped Elliot’s hand and guided him to their seats. However, he withdrew his hand from hers and focused his attention on Corynn.

Morris glanced between Corynn and Elliot, sensing something unspoken. “You guys know each other?”

“Yes,” Elliot responded.

“We don’t,” Corynn stated simultaneously.

Their simultaneous answers left Morris puzzled.

So, did they know each other or not?

Because of this, Amanda had to explain the situation to Morris.

She smiled and explained, “They know each other, but they aren’t close.”

Morris nodded. “That’s good to hear. Since you know each other, maybe you’ll become closer after the dinner!”

Just then, Lillian approached Corynn and inquired, “Is that man very handsome? I find him quite attractive, but unfortunately, he’s engaged. Otherwise, I’d love to spend a romantic night with him.”

Lillian expressed her regret.

Feeling slightly uneasy, Corynn wore only a weak smile in response to Lillian’s remarks.

Elliot had eyes only for Corynn, as if no one else was present.

It had been a week since he last saw her, and to him, it felt like an eternity. Now, unable to look away, he was captivated by her presence.

No amount of time spent observing Corynn seemed enough to fulfill him.

Though Lilian was initially in a playful mood, she picked up on the tension, noticing the intensity of Elliot’s stare.

Desire was evident in Elliot’s gaze as he looked at Corynn.

Pointing first at Corynn and then at Elliot, Lillian muttered, “You two...”

“We aren’t close,” Corynn cut in quickly.

She preferred not to delve into her history with Elliot.

Morris patted Elliot on the shoulder and handed him a glass of wine. He was curious about the pair’s relationship but recognized that it wasn’t the right moment to probe.

Amanda struggled to maintain her composure. Each time she tried to hold Elliot’s hand, he pulled away, leaving her feeling humiliated.

Regaining his composure, Elliot averted his gaze, embarrassed by his earlier lack of restraint.

“When are you two planning to get married? I’ve been looking forward to your wedding for quite some time,” Morris asked, raising his glass to Elliot.

“We’re going to call off the engagement,” Elliot murmured, his eyes drifting towards Corynn.

Amanda’s face fell instantly, her smile vanishing as she looked up at Elliot in shock.

However, his gaze was fixed on Corynn.

Even so, Corynn seemed unaffected, as if she had not heard his words.
