Chapter 2

Alexandra's POV

"Anna take Alex to the gardens and show her around." Uncle Ace said.

"Yes dad." We stood up and left. The sun was disappearing.

"So how's Graceland?"

"It's a very beautiful kingdom. You should visit it sometime."

"Yeah I've heard so much about it but it is far and I can't leave Emerland in the time being."

"Well I'm sure in the future you'll be able to do it." She smiled widely. She's a sweet girl . I loved her.

"Alex ! Mom wants to talk to you."

"I'm sorry my brother is calling me. We might have a tour on another day."

"Yeah it's okay." I smiled and went to Harry.

"What does she want?" I asked him.

"I don't know." He said not looking at me. I turned to see where he's looking to find Anna. I smirked.

"My baby brother having a crush on a princess?" My smirk grew wider when I looked at his face.

"Shut up Alex I just met her."

"Well there's always love at first sight." I winked at him. He rolled his eyes and went back inside. I followed him to see mom waiting for me impatiently.

"Yes mother ?" I asked bored.

"Alexandra Maria Marlowe. Don't use that tone with me!" My mom was a funny person who I loved to death. She was always smiling and joking but when it comes to being angry she's pretty scary.

Stupid Alex you should not make your mom angry or there will be fire exiting her ears .

It sounds like I would laugh until death if that happens. Mommy bear.

"Are you hearing what I'm saying." I cleared my throat and looked at her sheepishly.

"Sorry." She sigh.

"Alex honey the maids will escort you to your room. At 8 o'clock tomorrow you should be awake okay ?"

"Okay." I followed the maids to my room. My room was amazing . It was bigger than my old one with a bed in the middle of the room. A big table was right down the window so when I sit on the chair I could see the view. On the wall was a bookcase . A huge one.

"Do you want anything else my lady?" One of the maids asked.

"No thank you." They left me alone in my room. I entered the closet to see all my gowns placed neatly in it. I was exhausted so I changed my cloths and laid on the bed.

"Good morning." I said entering the queen's private sitting room. Where you know we drink coffee and talk about nonsense. Auntie Lea and my mom were sitting with an old woman . Probably in her 60's .

"Good morning Alex. How was your sleep."

"Very good thank you."

"Oh Alex. Regina you have a gorgeous daughter." The old woman said with a smile. At least she's friendly.

"Hello." I said awkwardly.

"Come sit next to me. I have something to show you." I looked confused at her. I don't even know her. I sat next to her and she took an old photo of what looks like her and a little baby girl. Wait . That girl is me! The photo was in black and white but I recognized myself immediately.

"This is you and me the day Anna was born." I took the picture and examined it. I couldn't remember this day.

"I'm Ace's mother by the way. Former queen of Emerland. "

"Oh your majesty." I said getting up to bow to her.

"Alexandra you're like Anna to me. Please don't be formal. Call me Elizabeth."

"Okay."

"I remember when Brandon had a crush on you." She said laughing while me? I was turning into a tomato. It's really awkward to remember my crush on him too.

"Lea I heard Brandon was going to get engaged to Elena. Like seriously?! Isabelle's daughter!!" Mom said disgusted.

"Thank god he's not anymore. I hated that girl but Brandon loved her. Ace and me tried to get him to forget her but he was persistent. We couldn't tell him that Isabelle was Ace's mistress whom I hated to death. She just showed her true colors finally."

"Poor my baby boy is heart broken." Elizabeth said sadly. I had no clue what they are talking about. I was always bored when mom had these talks with the high ranked ladies at her private sitting room. I would escape and go horse riding.

"Excuse me." I said and left the room. I walked around the castle mesmerized by it's beauty, until I hit a wall and fell on my butt . Shit. Well no I really hit a wall and not a hard chest.

"Stupid wall." I muttered.

"Did you... did you just hit and cursed a wall ?" I heard a voice saying from behind me. I turned around slowly to find Brandon looking shocked , then he masked it.

"I.. I-yeah?" I said unsure. I knew I was fucking clumsy but not this much. Like who in their right minds hits a wall?! Obviously not me.

"Unbelievable." He said walking away. I heard a laugh nearby and saw Harry clutching his tummy while laughing hard.

"Y-you h-hit a w-wall?" He managed to say between his laughter fit.

"Shut the fuck up Harry."

"Alexandra Maria Marlowe. Language young lady."

"Uh.. english ?" Harry doubled in laughter sitting on the floor. Well it is the second time my mom uses my full name in less than 24 hours. I'm in deep shit.

"Very funny Alexandra. You're grounded! No horse riding for 2 days."WHAT.

"No mother please . I'm sorry."

"I'm not . Now go find the twins and help them getting dressed. They were still asleep."

"Why can't Harry do it."

"Alexandra." My mom said sternly.

"Okay okay I'm going." I said backing away.

"Wake up sleeping beauties." I yelled entering the twins room. They opened their eyes and jumped on me. I fell on the floor hitting my back .

"ALEXANDRA." They screamed happily. I wonder how can they be so hyper when they wake up. I wake up forgetting my name.

"Yeah yeah love you too now come on let's get you two dressed." I said laughing at their behavior. After they were dressed we headed to the gardens where dad was talking with uncle Ace.

"Hello."

"Hi princess." Uncle Ace said.

"Hi honey." Dad kissed my head then turned to my sisters scooping them in his arms.

"Alexandra!" I turned around to see Anna heading towards me with Brandon. Every time I look at him my heart skips a beat. He had a scowl as usual on his face. Our eyes met for a brief moment then he turned around walking towards his father.

"Hey Anna. What are you doing today?"

"I'm going to the town to see my grandparents. Wanna come?"

"Of course."

"Great then we'll go at 4 o'clock." I took my pocket watch, it was already 2 o'clock. Wow time flies fast.

"You majesty the lunch is ready." One of the maids told us.

"Thank you Anna." I looked surprised. Oh the maid's name is Anna.

"Yeah I know we have the same name but mom loved Anna so much. She helped her a lot when she first came to the castle. "

"Oh okay. That's sweet of your mother."

"Yes Anna was so happy." She said smiling.

"Let's go then." We entered the castle and back to the dinning room. We took our places. Uncle Ace was sitting on the top of the table. Auntie Lea to his right next to her was Anna and then Brandon. Next to Brandon sat Anastasia. She obviously loved Brandon. To the left was seated dad then mom then Harry then me and Annabella . Lucky me every time I averted my gaze up I come face to face with Brandon. We were so tense next to each others although we were best friends 14 years ago. Sadly our friendship was cut when I left and he found the love of his life. Elena. She's so dumb that she lost Brandon, because at Graceland, when I went to town I heard people talking about how Brandon, the heir to Emerland's throne was a gentleman and a kindhearted person. Such a shame she turned him into a cold hearted monster. We finished eating and left the room to get ready for the town visit. I crossed Brandon's chamber from where I heard yelling.

"Brandon baby please stop this nonsense. Elena is banished and you should move on. Please honey open you heart."

"Mom stop it. This discussion was ended 1 year ago when Elena cheated on me. This is who I am. This is what my father was ."

"Brandon it's none of your business how I was . I changed I'm not a beast anymore."

"Well good for you you found my mother. While me the woman I loved fucking cheated on me ." By now he was yelling and I'm sure the whole population in the castle heard him.

"It became a routine now." I was surprised to see Anna with a sad face standing right behind me.

"What?"

"The yelling . Mom and dad trying to soften Brandon's heart. I'm used to it. I hated Elena since she appeared in our life."

"I'm sorry."

"It's not you fault Alex. Now come on or we'll be late." I nodded and followed her outside.
