Chapter 25

Alexandra's POV

"Tell me everything!" Maria was waiting for me in my room.

"You startled me." I put a hand on my heart.

"Come let's sit on the bed and tell me what happened." I told her everything.

"Omg! That's so romantic." She screamed.

"Lower your voice! And no it's not. I'm leaving and that's final." I said.

"Alex. Please tell him what's the reason. Stay here with us. My wedding is in 2 weeks and apparently the coronation is in 1 week. You won't be there for me then." She looked at the floor.

"No of course I'll come. I'll be here for you Maria don't be sad please." I panicked.

"I'll go see Andrew he's probably still waiting for me." She stood up and I let her leave. I sighed and changed into my pyjama.

Dream.

"Alexa!" I looked around me. I knew this voice. Only the owner of this voice calls me Alexa. I'm searching around for him but I couldn't find him.

"Brandon!" I screamed for him. But still I couldn't find him.

"Alexa please stay."

"Brandon where are you?" I asked him desperately. I needed to find him.

"Alexa come to me." He said in a soft but loud voice.

"I'm trying but I can't find you." I sat on the floor defeated.

"No keep looking for me Alexa."

"Come to me."

"I can't." He said.

"What do you mean you can't?" I panicked more. I walked forward in hope to find him. The fog wasn't helping me either. A couple of minutes later the view became clearer and I saw Brandon.

"Brandon." I ran to him but halted when I saw he was handcuffed by a chain holding him back. I couldn't find my voice.

"That's because you left me Alexa. I can't move because you chose to leave me in the dark."

"No!" I chocked out and my chest tightened. I couldn't breath. A man came from behind him and stabbed him with a knife. I knew this man. That's what made me choke even more.

"Johnny no! Please leave him." But he kept stabbing him.

"Breath Alexa! Wake up!"

I jolted up breathing as much air as I can. My eyes met chocolate ones and I started crying.

"Shush I'm here." He hugged me and sat on the bed next to me. "Bad nightmare?" I nodded my head. "It's over now. Go to sleep." I nodded and he stood up. I held his hand.

"Stay with me."

"Okay."

He laid next to me on the bed but he slept on the far end of it. He smiled a small smile and I was amazed. It was the first time I saw him smile even a little one. I smiled back and closed my eyes and drifted back to sleep.

"Alex! Wake up."

I woke up to someone banging on my door. I groaned and opened my eyes. My eyes widened at the sight. I was laying on Brandon's naked chest and he had his hands on my waist. He stirred and opened his eyes slowly. I jumped from the bed and blushed.

"Good morning." He said in his morning voice and I melted.

"Morning." I said shyly.

"Alex are you dead?" I totally forgot that someone was at my door.

"I will freshen up." He walked to the bathroom and I admired his muscular body.

"Coming." I opened the door to see my mom.

"Alexandra why did you take so long?" I was going to answer but she cut me. "Anyways no time for chit chat. Listen Johnny sent a letter." I tensed. First it was a letter from Johnny and second Brandon was in my bathroom and he could hear everything.

"I'll read it later-" She cut me again.

"No Alex if you really want to marry him then pack your bags." She said seriously.

"What?" I panicked. I thought I still had 1 week to prepare myself for this.

"The coronation is in 1 week honey. In 6 days Brandon will become king you must leave before that."

"But mom I.." I chocked on my tears and couldn't talk anymore.

"I know you're sad honey. But you chose this." That's what's making my chest hurt more.

"I wish I didn't have to choose this awful fate mother." I said truthfully.

"I'm sorry Alexandra. We never wanted to see you like this. If we knew that would happen we-"

"It's fine mom. I'll pack my things."

"Okay we're leaving tomorrow." She kissed my cheek and left. When she closed the door, an angry Brandon exited the bathroom.

"What the fuck Alexa?!" He growled.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"I don't want you to apologize." He screamed.

"I have no other choice!" I yelled back.

"Good. Leave then. I don't want to see you ever!" My heart broke.

"Brand-"

"No Alexandra! I told you I will fight for you. I told you I need you. Yet you are persistent on leaving us here. You're persistent on marrying that boy. Why?!" He sounded heartbroken. But why? He said it first it was all for the crown. What happened now?

"I'm sorry." He looked at me disappointed and left the room. I sat on the floor and cried. I wish I can go back to change what I did. I really wish that.

"Johnny sent a letter Alex." I rarely saw Harry these days. He was busy with I don't know what.

"Thank you Harry."

Dear Alexandra,

I heard you're coming back. I'm planning our wedding and it will be in 3 days. Don't worry yourself about anything. Everything is ready for you here. I also got your grandpa's blessing. I can't wait for you to my wife.

"Thank you Harry." I chocked out.

"Alex are you okay? You've been stressed so much these couple of days."

"I'm not ." I cried on my brother's shoulders.

"It's alright I'll be there for you."

"Thank you. I don't know what I would've done without you." He kissed my forehead and smiled a sad smile.

"Come on let's go packing."
