Chapter 48

Alexandra's POV

"King Brandon! Your mother's carriage has been attacked!" Conor yelled running inside the dinning room.

"What??" He stood up immediately along with uncle Ace.

"What's happening?!" Anna yelled in horror.

Okay here's the plan. Mom, dad and Lea are coming home today. In the letter I sent them I planned all of this.

Uncle Ace knew about the plan. But he had to act of course. Anna and Harry don't know until now.

Why you may ask?

Today is Brandon's birthday and I'm planning a ceremony for him. When we woke up in the morning I wished him a happy birthday and gave him the number one gift. It's a small pendant with my image. *evil laugh*.

I of course have another gift for him with the birthday surprise. Few rich people and nobles are invited but we will distribute food for all the kingdom.

"Anna stay here!" Ace ordered.

"But father-" she tried to argue with him. Good that's the reaction I wanted from her. I knew her and Harry couldn't keep a secret.

"I said stay here Anna." He said in the 'angry father voice'.

"Fine." She huffed but with tears in her eyes.

Moments later they left after gathering the guards. Maybe I went too far in this plan but uncle Ace was more than happy to comply.

"Anna." I said calmly. She was crying while Harry was rubbing her back.

"Yes?" She chocked out.

"Lea is fine." I said.

"W-what? What do you mean?" She wiped her tears quickly. I sighed.

"This was all a plan."

"What?" Both her and Harry shouted.

"Calm down. Both of you!" I glared at them.

"What plan?" Harry asked.

"We wanted to take Brandon away for a while. We need to start the preparations. I already selected our dresses. The maids are preparing the ball room. So please calm down and come with me."

"Why didn't you tell me?" They both asked. I tolled my eyes.

"Because neither of you can keep a secret. I know you." I smirked. They both rolled their eyes.

"I'll go wash my face." Anna said.

"Okay." She left.

Harry stayed with me and I smiled at him ushering him to come and help me. He gladly complied and we went to the ball room. It was amazing. All the decorations were as I requested. Thank god I didn't want to stress about this too.

"Laura. Is the cake ready?" I asked her.

"Yes your highness everything's ready." She stated proudly. I had asked her to make sure everything is okay.

"Great." Suddenly I felt dizzy. I put my hand on my forehead and took a step back.

"Alex you okay?" Harry held me and looked concerned.

"Yeah." I took deep breaths. The dizziness was gone but I made a mental note to ask the doctor.

It was already 7 o'clock. They weren't back yet and that was expected. They left at 4 and the carriage is 1 hour away. Lea told me that they would damage the carriage so Brandon would believe what happened.

"They should be here any minute. Are the guest her?" I asked Laura.

"Yes they are all here. You didn't get ready yet!" She exclaimed. "Come on your highness let me help you."

I nodded and followed her back to my room. My dress was laying on the bed. It was a beautiful green dress. I chose this color because it's summer and what's best than this color for this season.

Laura curled my hair. Then she started doing my make up. She put mascara and a dark green eyeshadow. Then she drew my eyeliner. She put some blush on my face and I put my red lipstick.

"Here are your jewelries." She handed me my necklace and my earrings. I put them fast and put my nude heals.

"I'm ready." I smiled widely. "Let's go."

We headed towards the ballroom and waited for their arrival. It was 8 o'clock and they were still not here. Anna entered wearing her pink dress. Harry was beside me and I nudged him. I chose for her the best pink dress.

"Wha?" He exclaimed after I nudged him for the 5th time.

When he saw Anna he stood frozen. He looked at her from head to toe mesmerized. His mouth was open and drool was coming out. I laughed and closed his mouth.

"Well go to her before that kid does." I saw another boy checking her out. He frowned and left.

"You highness it's a pleasure that we received your invitation." Some old man said to me. His wife was next to him.

"Thank you for attending." I smiled at them.

The next half hour was spent me greeting people and talking to them. It was getting late and we were still waiting for them.

"Your highness." Someone rushed to me.

"Yes ?" I looked at him and he was a guard.

"His highness the king is here." He said. Finally.

I straightened my posture and royal trumpets started playing. I stood on the small balcony upstairs where I could look at all the people here.

Suddenly the doors were opened and my handsome husband entered. He was stunned for a second as we all screamed a 'happy birthday.' He smiled a little smile. He tried his best. I rolled my eyes but was glad that his smile was only for me.

His eyes roamed the room and I knew very well who he was searching for. I smiled when his eyes went up and met mine. I saw joy in his eyes and he excused himself from the people around him.

He walked towards me with big steps until he was right in front of me. He stood there not moving gazing at me and a small blush started forming on my face.

"Happy birthday honey." I said and that snapped him from his daze.

"You look beautiful." He breathed out.

"You too." I winked at him and he smirked.

"So the attack was all your plan." He snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.

"Brandon everyone's watching." I scolded.

"Let them. You're my wife. I don't care who's watching." He whispered in my ear. "Let's go to our room to show you how much I love you." He nibbled on my ear.

"S-stop. We have yo celebrate."

"We can celebrate there my dear wife."

"No Brandon my work will be to no vail then." I rolled my eyes.

"Come here." He pulled me and our lips connected in a heated kiss. Cheers were being heard and I closed my eyes enjoying the kiss with the one who owns my heart.

"Morning sweetheart." I opened my eyes to see Brandon sitting on the bed watching me.

"What are you doing?" I asked playfully.

"Enjoying the scene." I looked at myself to see that I was naked and displayed to his eyes.

"It's not like something you never saw." I winked.

"I know. But I enjoy it every time." He smirked and kissed my lips.

"Come on or we'll never leave this bed." I laughed and get up.

I went to the bathroom and did my business. I took a quick shower and went to the closet. I got dressed and went to the dinning room.

Mom and dad were seated in their usual spot.

"Alex!" Both my sisters ran and hugged me.

"Hey babies! I missed you." I kissed both their cheeks.

"We missed you too." They said.

"How was Graceland?"

"Boring." Bella said and I laughed.

"Well I'm glad-" but before I could finish my sentence another wave of dizziness hit me.

Brandon in an instant was next to me holding me in his arms.

"Sweetheart what's wrong?" His voice was panicked.

"I'm a bit dizzy. I 'll be fine." I breathed out. I took deep breaths just like yesterday and I calmed down.

His eyes were watching me carefully examining me. I smiles assuring him that I was fine.

"Come you have to eat." He led me to the table and I sat next to him. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah yeah I'm fine." Harry was watching me debating whether he should speak about yesterday or not but I glares at him.

He shut his mouth but he wasn't going to stand still and I'm sure.
