Chapter 1146 It isn’t Him Kisa ruthlessly frowned, “What do you mean? Jensen risked his life to rescue me from the burning jail?”

“Yes. You would’ve been dead if it wasn’t for my boss. You wouldn’t even be alive to have a romantic relationship with Gilbert. You’re a heartless b*tch!

“Pff! You’re chasing me out of GK, right? Okay. I don’t care about it anyway. I have many other f*cking ways to get back at Gilbert.

“And you, you owe my boss more than you can ever repay. You’ll just live in guilt for the rest of your life.”

Shaun walked away after he scolded Kisa.

Kisa hurriedly ran to him and grabbed him. “Stop. Tell me the truth. Was Jensen really the person who saved me from the fire?”

“Get lost. You’re just an ungrateful person. What will you do if you know the truth? Will you avenge my boss?”

Shaun shook Kisa loose as he said that.

Kisa hastily took a few steps back. Her lower back immediately hit the desk. Her lower back was extremely painful. She even felt a twinge in her tummy.

She held her stomach as she went after Shaun to find out what had happened. But, her tummy was even more painful when she moved.

She took a breath in, held onto the table, and sat in the chair.

‘Was Jensen really the one who saved me from the fire back then?

‘If it was him, why didn’t he tell me?

‘And, Adrien. If Jensen had saved me from that fire, then Adrien must have lied.

‘But, Jensen introduced Adrien to me. Why didn’t Jensen expose Adrien when Adrien said he was the one who saved me?

‘And, why did Adrien have the photo of my dead baby if he wasn’t the person who saved me?

‘What’s going on?’

She uncomfortably stroked her forehead. She increasingly felt that the incident back then was very bewildering.

To verify whether what Shaun said was true, Kisa went to find Mia.

Mia did not go to Risen Enterprise today. She was at the mansion she found for Jensen.

When Kisa arrived, Mia was waiting for her in the yard.

Mia prepared some afternoon tea.

She did not look like she hated Kisa as she did before when she saw her now. This time, there was a smile on her face. But, the smile did not look genuine.

“You told me you have something urgent on the phone. What is it?”

Mia asked with a smile right after Kisa sat down.

Kisa pursed her lips as she asked, “You’ve known Jensen for a long time, right?”

Mia raised her eyebrows as she glanced at her. After a moment of hesitation, she took a sip of the tea and said with a smile, “Yes. I’ve known him since he was around fourteen or fifteen years old.”

‘Fourteen or fifteen years old. That wasn’t long after Jensen was sent abroad.

‘In that case, she was already very close to Jensen in the year when I encountered the fire.

‘So, if Jensen really did come back to rescue me, Mia should know about it.’

As she thought of that, she asked Mia, “I was in jail six years ago. And, I was there when the jail caught on fire. You know about it, right?”

“Yes.” Mia smiled, “What do you want to ask?”

“I want to ask, was Jensen the person who rescued me from that fire back then?”

Mia’s facial expression slightly changed. Shortly, she looked as usual and asked with a smile, “Who told you that?”

Kisa did not answer her.

Mia suddenly scorned as she said, “Did Shaun tell you that?”

Kisa lowered her eyes, “You just have to answer my question. Did he save me?”

“Of course… It isn’t him!”

Kisa fiercely furrowed her eyebrows. “It’s not Jensen?”

“No. Because he was with me in Raworth when you encountered that fire.”

“But, if it wasn’t Jensen who rescued me, why did Shaun say that?” Kisa asked hurriedly.
