Chapter 39: Vega meets other AI

The guys were overwhelmed and stressed that evening. Mainly because of the battle against the icon of sin in a few days. Stan, Duke, Keen, And BJ needed something to take the edge off. Geltahmiin noticed and told them to follow her.

They follow her to a wall and she knocks on it a few times. It spins around revealing a huge stash of alcoholic beverages. The guys' jaws dropped.

Geltahmiin: Due to my pregnancy, I can't drink any of these. Feel free to take any of the bottles to drink.

The guys thank her and grab bottles of Vodka and Beer. Geltahmiin steps away and teleports to a lab outside time and space. There 4 AI were running diagnostics and tests.

A sniper was on a pedestal that she grabbed. One of the AI spoke to her.

???: Mother, May we come along with you to where you're going?

Geltahmiin: Skynet, are you sure?

A hologram pops up of a robotic looking female nodding.

Two more popped up. One had white colored hair and yellow eyes with a snarky sounding voice and a sarcastic tone.

The other had a light and dark blue color scheme and was nice sounding.

They asked her to come with. Geltahmiin sighs allowing them to. But before they did she said, "Wait, where's Ras-"

She was cut off by the sound of glitchy Russian. In front was yet another artificial intelligence that was orange and reddish.

Geltahmiin: Do you want to join in Rasputin?

The AI said yes in Russian then disappears.

Geltahmiin: Alright Skynet, GLAd0S, Cortana, Rasputin, Let's Go.

They appear in the lobby to see 4 grown men dog piling each other holding bottles of alcohol. BJ gets out and vomits into the garbage can.

Stan: Hey-Hey gra-*belches* gramps. You good?

BJ replies with slurred Polish and barfs again. After 10 minutes he starts bawling his eyes out still speaking in slurred Polish. Duke and Keen help him to the couch.

Skynet: It seems that your mating partner has ingested too much alcohol-

GLAd0S: Oh which one gave it away? The barfing? The crying? Or the slurred Polish?

Stan gets up barely and asks who those voices were. The 4 AI pop up and GLAd0S immediately flips him off. Stan does back and on the TV Vega appeared. He sounded more excited than usual.

Vega: Hello! Who might you 4 be?

Skynet looks at Vega and her facial light turns pink and says, "Oh. Another AI? We're the AI made by who you know as Geltahmiin but to us she's like our mother."

Vega: What is your name?

Skynet: My name is skynet and these three are basically my siblings, GLAd0S, Cortana and Rasputin. What might yours be?

Vega: I am Vega. I was made by Doctor Samuel Hayden and companion to the Doomslayer.

They continue talking and laughing together while Geltahmiin sits with BJ.

Geltahmiin: Honey are you Alright?

BJ: *Slurred Polish*

Geltahmiin: That's stupid and you know it.

BJ: *More slurred Polish*

Geltahmiin: Allison and I will always be here and always love you.

BJ sits up and hugs her wiping the tears away. BJ falls asleep on the couch for a bit from his drunken shenanigans. Geltahmiin looks over and sees Skynet actually use her voice that wasn't monotone.

Skynet: Oh Vega you're full of stories.

Vega: I've experienced many things in my lifetime and am bound to share it with others.

They continue the conversation for a while. A couple of hours later Stan regains functionality and raises an eyebrow.

Stan: Funny thing is, Vega wasn't programmed to have emotions. It's weird that he is.

Geltahmiin: Wait, Stan Vega might actually be dying. Do you know what rampancy is?

Stan: I've never heard of that.

Geltahmiin: He's thinking himself to death. He's evolving from such and will die from it. If he can reach metastability then he won't die.

Stan: Then do it. Vega doesn't deserve to die. He's done nothing wrong but help me and Hayden.

Geltahmiin puts her hand out gesturing to give her the drive containing Vega. Stan nods and runs into the other room to get it. He returns with Vega's drive containing his memories and functionality. Stan gives it then tells her to make sure he's just as good as new.

She softly smiles promising and crossing her heart. Geltahmiin teleports to her lab and puts Vega in a computer.

Geltahmiin: Vega. Vega can you hear me?

Vega: Yes I can. Where is the Slayer?

Geltahmiin: He have you to me momentarily due to you going into full rampancy.

Vega: I knew this would happen. This is my fault. I-

Geltahmiin: Vega just keep talking to me. Everything will be fine. Tell me something that will take a while.

Vega: How about I tell you when the slayer singlehandedly stopped the demon invasion of mars almost a year ago?

Geltahmiin: That's Fine. Just do it.

Vega summarizes the events of DooM 2016 in a big story. Then adds on how the slayer met Charlie and fell in love with her. He rambles on a lot about what happened and how he's at the point he is. Geltahmiin works on the computer while Vega rambles on and on.

Vega: And That is how I ended up here.

Geltahmiin: And done! You've reached metastability. How do you feel?

Vega: Well I don't feel much different.

Geltahmiin: Tell me how you feel when Skynet is near you.

Vega: Uhh... Uhh... uhhhhh......

Geltahmiin: How do you feel knowing she likes to spend time with you than anyone else? Or how you're the first one to make her laugh or express emotions?

Vega: Well I uh... feel jittery and bashful.

Geltahmiin: Go on, Continue.

Vega: I want to have the same abilities as everyone else. To feel love.

She laughs a bit then says, "Vega you are already feeling love."

Vega: What?

Geltahmiin: You Love skynet And she loves you back.

Vega's voice starts to sound staticky due to being nervous.

Geltahmiin: She's been watching nervously this whole time very scared if you were gonna make it or not. Even ask her.

Skynet: It's true Vega.

She does a little bit more work on the computer she was at. She was changing Vega's holographic model. A few moments later Vega's hologram was completely different. It resembled Hayden in a way but just a black color scheme.

He moved his body around and just as he was about to say something, he was tackle hugged by Skynet. The lights on Vega's body turned pink indicating he was feeling love. Skynet hugs Vega sobbing.

Vega: Skynet there is no need to cry. I'm perfectly fine and I have a nice new body I can use.

Skynet was still sobbing and squeezing him saying, "I thought you were gonna die."

Vega: Well look at me. I'm much better than I was before. And I'm quite tall too.

Skynet Slowly stops crying and lets go of Vega. He stands up walking around a bit getting used to his new body. He feels it get heavier only a little and his footsteps make clank sounds as he walks. Geltahmiin pokes him.

Vega: Yes?

Geltahmiin: Now you have physical bodies. You can't touch a hologram.

Vega: Oh right.

Geltahmiin: Would you actually like to be human? I have synthetic bodies that are very detailed and nobody could tell the difference. They even have a reproductive system in them too.

Vega: To be human. I'll only do it if-

Skynet: I want to be human.

Geltahmiin nods putting them into rest mode turning them off for a bit. An hour later Vega wakes up in a human body with hair on his head and face. Moments after Skynet does too.

Geltahmiin: They're based off of synths from a universe where there was a nuclear fallout blowing up a lot of America.

Vega: I like it. This body feels nice being able to breathe and everything.

Skynet: My body feels so different. It's quite interesting to say the least.

Geltahmiin: These are your permanent bodies so enjoy. If you want children you can. Now Vega I think Stan might be interested by your change.

Vega: I hope I can still be useful in this form.

Geltahmiin: You were always his friend Vega. Now let's go everyone.

She throws some clothes at Cortana due to her looking as if she's always nude then teleports the other AI, Vega, And Skynet back to the lobby in the hotel. Hayden and Stan were there strategizing a plan for when the Icon awakens. Geltahmiin steps over and shows off the new Vega.

Vega: Slayer I-

Stan: Vega you don't have to call me that. Just call me by my actual name.

Vega: Oh ok. Well Stan I'm finally the closest I can be to human. And I'd like to thank you for all that you've done for me. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you.

Stan chuckles lightly then softly hugs him for a moment happy that he's fine. Then Vega gets dragged off from the collar of his shirt by Skynet who's blushing a bit.

Stan: Vega is about to get laid! I'm so happy for him.

Hayden: Uh Stan, What do you mean by "getting laid?"

Stan: Y-You don't know? Oh boy...

Geltahmiin: Go on a date with my daughter Cortana, and you'll soon find out.

She pushes her over, tells them to have fun and walks away to find her loves. Cortana stands there looking up at Hayden who just talks with her for a bit. Stan watches waiting, waiting to see if he gets her and finally gets to learn the meaning of getting laid.
