Chapter 44: The Khan Maykr's end

Hayden: Magnificent, isn't it? Now quickly, the Khan Maykr is nearby - we must stop her before she completes the ritual and gains full control over the icon of sin.

The gang looks around and find a place to jump and land on. They jump to it and hit the ground hard. Stan sees a bar he can swing off of but to where he wonders. He steps on a pressure plate of some sort and an orange ring appears.

Stan: Hm? Do I go through that?

He swings off a bar and jumps through the ring as it send him flying around. The rest follow doing the same thing. Once all six have made it, they walk in through the doors looking at the place. It was decorated well with what seemed to resemble cherry blossom trees. They walk through another set of doors and hear a voice say, "Welcome, Seraphim."

They see the Khan Maykr, Maykr drones angels surround a heart. The gang walks through and watch. The Khan Maykr notices their presence and says, "You cannot stop the procession."

Stan thinks for a moment and remembers something he got from someone. He gets a flashback to it.

Then it came to him. Stan takes the item The Betrayer tossed over to him and a blade comes out. Once it does, The Khan Maykr yells out, "We will not be able to control it! NOOOO!"

Stan runs over and stabs the heart with the blade. It begins beating fast and eventually explodes. Suddenly, a roar is heard and everyone diverts their attention to the Icon.

It starts moving around, and roars again. It's chest has a pentagram form causing the Maykr drones to glow red. A portal then forms behind the Icon. He turns around knocking the platform the gang was on as he steps through the portal.

The Khan Maykr flies away while everyone falls to an area below. Stan was able to grab Charlie preventing her from getting too hurt, especially in the stomach. BJ did the same for Geltahmiin so they didn't have miscarries.

Some Maykr drones appear along with other demons. Stan uses his meat hook to grapple over to one and head-buts it, shattering the drone's head. The others have fun shooting whatever hellish creatures came to them.

A few minutes later they cleared the area of the demons. Hayden pops up on their comms and says, "The Icon of Sin is no longer in the Khan Maykr's control. The longer he is on earth, the stronger he will grow. There is a portal we can use to follow it. We must reactivate the gate and get back to earth."

Stan: Okay, so we just need to return to earth and we can give the Icon back his humanity. That poor kid has suffered long enough.

Charlie: I sure as hell am ready to kick some ass and take names.

Duke: Don't forget the bubblegum. But wait, I'm all out of gum.

Keen: You're never gonna let that one go are you.

Duke: Nope! Because it's my favorite one and I will never, EVER stop saying it when right.

Keen face palms with his helmet on still. 20 minutes of hopping, jumping, climbing, punching, ripping and tearing, the crew makes it outside of the chambers where they watch as 3 portal rings spin around.

Hayden: There is a gate that we can use here on Urdak to get back to earth, but you all will have to reconfigure the teleporter rings to activate it. We must move quickly, for the Icon of sin grows more powerful the longer it is on earth.

Geltahmiin: So let's see. There's 3 rings and six of us. Let's split up into teams of 2. BJ and I will get the purple one. Stan and Charlie will do the blue one. Then finally, Keen and Duke will get the orange one.

Duke: Alright let's do this!

Him and Keen run and jump away shouting:

Stan: You see where I get my childish part from?

Geltahmiin: Yep. Those two are like twins.

Stan: Okay, you two go do your part.

Geltahmiin nods and hands Stan an exact duplicate of Vega. She then says, "Insert this into the control module for the ring for this is a Vega from a timeline you didn't save him in time when Hayden told you to kill him."

Stan takes it and nods running into a group of demons.

Kar en tuk is heard go through his head as he blasts some demons away. Their guts are spilled onto the floor as he crushes the ribs of another underneath the soul of his foot.

Charlie on the other hand was having a sadistic streak, shooting the argent demons with a plasma rifle. She tosses a grenade over blowing up a group of them.

An axe is seen fly by them. A marauder was there with his shield out and axe ready. Stan gets a hit with his meat hook and gets in the marauder's face in milliseconds. Learning from his past experiences with him, Stan was able to kill the Marauder in under 30 seconds.

The doors leading them to the control area for the portal rings was opened. Stan steps over as Hayden says, "Now insert Vega to activate the portal."

Stan places the drive containing Vega onto the module. It glows blue as Vega then says, "System acquired. Setting a course for the earth dimension now. I can... see now... am I the father, Dr. Hayden?" Stan presses the button moving the blue ring into place.

Hayden: You all must get the other teleporter rings aligned before it's too late, the gate must be reactivated, the longer the Icon of Sin is on earth, the stronger he will become.

Stan: Yeah yeah we get it. How are you guys doing?

Meanwhile with BJ and Geltahmiin. BJ is shooting the demons while she gets the purple ring aligned and says, "We got it done. You?"

Stan: We got the blue one done. Duke, Dad, how are you two doing?

With Duke and Keen. They don't pay attention and keep killing demons. Once they finish duke replies saying, "We just finished exterminating these guys."

Geltahmiin: Good. Now get the orange ring aligned so we can meet back up and leave this place.

Keen: Alright I'm on it!

The final ring is aligned with the other two. A beam is then shit through making the portal back to earth form.

Hayden: With the rings fully aligned the dimensional gateway to earth is now opened. Get to the landing pad and pass through the portal - earth does not have much time left.

Minutes later the gang meets up at the area in which the way to the landing pad is. Stan presses the button taking them up.

Hayden: The Khan Maykr is near. She cannot let you all leave this place alive. She is invulnerable when she has the orb witching her chest. Once removed her defenses will be down.

The six make it to the top where the Khan Maykr is. Stan looks at them and is about to say something until Geltahmiin interrupts saying, "We know this is your fight. Now go. Go defeat the monster responsible for this mess."

Stan nods walking into the area with the Unmaykr in his hands.

The Khan Maykr: For millennia we have survived. Made others sacrifice in the name of our prosperity - so that they may in turn find redemption. Who are you, a human, once a mortal, to defy our traditions?

She spreads her wings making her body glow. Listening to what Hayden said, Stan shoots her with the Unmaykr making her defenses drop. He grapples over to her and blood punches her causing the armor that covered her body to fall off. Stan repeats this 5 more times with the sixth time sending her flying.

Her body was almost lifeless. She looks at Stan and says, "You have destroyed all that I was meant to rule, and all just to protect them - mere servants to our beliefs! You have broken the holy deal of Urdak! Your transgressions here will jeopardize all of creation..."

The others run over and drop kick her. Beating up her lifeless body. Duke does an elbow drop onto her as Keen beats her face in. BJ and Geltahmiin join in.

The orb within her chest flies up into the sky turning it red. The others toss her body down into the abyss below.

Mysterious Voice: Noooo!

Hayden: We must leave. Now.

BJ: You don't have to tell me twice Sammy.

Hayden: Don't call me that. Please.

BJ: So what? I call Stan, Stanley and he's fine with it.

Hayden: Just call me Samuel, Hayden, or both. Just not that.

BJ: Whatever.

The group takes a running start and jump down into the beam sending them through the portal and into... Sandy's city
