The project delivery date was fast approaching. Days became so hectic. To save time, instead of cooking at home, Jay, Mita, Prachi and Nitin decided to order a tifin for lunch. It was a big relief for Mita and Prachi.Every now and then they were discussing about their project.“Don’t know yaar, when this phase will get over??” Nitin.“Couple of weeks more,” Prachi.“Ha ha, as if I did not know that,” Nitin.“To poochha hi kyun??” Prachi.“Arre yaar, galti ho gayi, maaf kar de meri maa..” Nitin folded his hands.“Why are you so irritated?” Prachi.“Don’t you know?? Kitna saara kaam hai,” Nitin.“Haaaa, wo to hai,” Prachi.“But for these guys, it would be so nice,” Nitin looked at Mita. But Mita didn’t hear that.“Madam, kaha kho gayi??” Nitin.Mita was sitting at the corner of the sofa and engrossed in her work.“Abey Jay, yeh kya ho gaya tuze??” Nitin screamed.Mita startled, immediately got up and saw here and there.“Hahahahahahaha,” Nitin and Prachi both started laughing.“Guys, what was that?? Jay will be late today, isn’t it?” Mita.“We were asking you something, but you were lost in your work. But as soon as you heard Jay’s name, madam seedha uth hi gayi….waah ..kya pyar hai!!” Prachi.“Ohh, I am so sorry guys, what were you asking me??” Mita.“I was saying that, you guys are so lucky, once this phase is delivered you will go back to India,” Nitin.“Yeah..but we are coming back and will join you all for next phase,” Mita.“But at least you will get some break. Here it is so boring. Life has become monotonous now. Same work, same routine and same boring people,” Nitin looked at Prachi and stressed on the last 3 words.“Ja ja, bada aaya, here your stay is interesting all because of me. It’s me who is organizing parties every weekend,” Prachi.“Dhanyavaad maate,” Nitin.“But Nitin is right. You guys will get a nice break,” Prachi.“I agree. That’s why I am telling, you guys also come with us for marriage, it will be so much fun,” Mita.“Hahahaha, looks like Mita has gone crazy,” Nitin.“Why??” Mita.“Nadan balike, already two people from this project are taking leave for three weeks. Do you think we too will get leaves?” Nitin.“hmmmmmmm…” Mita.“Koyi na… you enjoy your wedding there. Click lots of pics and share. We will enjoy from here,” “Pakka,” Mita.Mita, Nitin and Prachi were doing chit chat. After sometime Jay entered.“You guys still awake??”“Aaj to kafi der laga di tumne,” Nitin.“Yeah, we were waiting for the sign off from the client,” Jay.“Mil gaya?” Prachi.“Yes, we got it,” Jay.“That’s great. So just last step pending now,” Mita.“Right,” Jay.“Kanna, you have not closed your bag’s zip properly. Wait, what’s this?” Mita saw an envelope popping out of his bag.“Dinner Cruise in Seine River???” Mita was shocked to see that. “Wowwww.. dikhao dikhao,” Nitin and Prachi screamed and came forward to see the tickets.“Oh My God, Friday Dinner in Seine River….ooohhoooo,” Nitin.“Le, tumhare dil ki baat Jay ne soon li. Boring life chal rahi thin aa,” Prachi.“Mere dil ki nahi.. It must be for Mita,” Nitin.“Pagal, check it properly, this is for four people,” Prachi.“Ohh..really?? That’s great!” Nitin.Mita was just looking at Jay,“Kanna, this was really not required!!” Mita.“Are no no…why not required. Very much required. Thanks Jay,” Nitin & Mita.Jay was smiling.“Mita, I am not an expert like you in giving surprises. But thought to make your birthday special by having dinner at River Cruise, Hope you like it!!” Jay said looking at Mita.“Ohhhhhhhhh… So, this is our birthday treat…yeyyyy...Now I am already waiting for Friday. I am loving it.!!” Prachi.“Me too!!” Nitin.Thursday was busy in completing major work. After reaching home, they had simple khichadi for dinner. Mita had already instructed everyone not to stay awake till midnight as they had to get up early.“We all are working hard these days so need to take proper rest..Ok?? Anyways we guys will be celebrating my birthday tomorrow evening.”Next morning Mita woke up early and came to the kitchen. She saw an envelope on the kitchen slab,“To, My Dearest Mita….”It was a birthday card with beautiful message written on that.
