ᵃᶠᵗᵉʳ ᵐᵃᵏᵃʸˡᵃ got from her locker she headed straight to class with her stuff in her hand. She was so tired and just wanted to lay back in her bed.

But she couldn't. And she really wasn't looking forward to seeing Isaiah today. She was already knowing he came to school, he did just so he could see her.

Makayla just sighed before stopping infront of her homeroom door. She really didn't wanna go in. She knew as soon as she did all eyes would be on her.

Makayla put her hand on the doorknob before she turning it slowly as it opened. She opened it widely as the whole class started staring.

Makayla rolled her eyes as they started quickly whispering to eachother.

"Makayla over here!"

"Makayla sit here!"

"Hi Makayla!"

"Makayla we missed you!"

Makayla heard from all different kinds of people as she groaned throwing her head back. Makayla just walked to the back of the classroom, and the row was already filled.

Makayla stood infront of the back row before she pointed to the front. And as soon as she did that everybody in the back row got up quickly moving to the front.

Makayla just shook her head before sitting at the table by herself. The desks were pulled up in 3 and Makayla was sitting all the way in the back.

Makayla sat her stuff down before putting her head down. She was tired of everybody already and she really didn't wanna be here. "Just 6 hours" Makayla kept repeating in her head.

A few minutes later Makayla heard the door open as she still had her head down. She then heard footsteps coming closer to her as she internally cursed. Whoever was coming didn't know who Makayla was apparently.

Notti stood in the doorframe as he saw all of the kids sat at the front with one person sitting in the back by herself. And she looked very familiar.

Notti tilted his head confused a bit as ddot stood right besides him. Ddot noticed the same thing notti did before the two entered the classroom together.

"Yo what the fuck..?" Ddot said confused before notti shrugged confused just like him. Notti then looked more closely as he noticed the girl being the same girl he had just helped with her locket.

Notti just went up to Makayla before he sat his bookbag onto the chair causing Makayla to look up. "Yo can we sit here?" Notti asked politely as Makayla sighed before nodding her head slowly.

Now if it was anybody else she would've screamed at them and told them to kick rocks like everybody else, but it was something about him that she just didn't want to be rude to him.

Notti then told ddot to come on as ddot sat his stuff down aswell sitting besides notti who was sitting besides Makayla.

"It's bout 100° in this bitch." Ddot complained while fanning himself with his folder as the corner of Makayla's mouth lifted up a bit.

"Word, smell like they frying ass too." Notti said making a stank face as Makayla let a small laugh slip out causing both boys to look at her laughing aswell.

"It is mad hot in here.." Makayla said quietly as she lifted up a bit making herself a bit more comfortable. Ddot nodded his quickly while making a face as Makayla let out another laugh.

About 15 minutes had passed and the boys were making Makayla's cheeks hurt from how hard she was laughing. The class kept looking back at the three of them because of how loud she was laughing.

They were very confused because it was the first time they heard Makayla laugh out of the 2 years she had been there.

"St-stop I cant breathe." Makayla said holding onto her stomach as notti and ddot kept on going making her laugh even harder.

"Alright I quit." Ddot said laughing as Makayla had to stop, her stomach was cramping up from how hard she was laughing. She then started breathing in and out slowly, but was still letting small laughs slip out.

"Man I'm so weak, but ima be right back." Makayla said as ddot and notti nodded. She then stood up before exiting the classroom.

Notti looked at ddot who was now on his phone watching ig reels. "She mad funny." Notti said as ddot looked up from his phone before nodding.

"Right, she was getting me weak." Ddot said as notti laughed agreeing. Notti then got on his phone aswell. He could see right through Makayla since he walked into the classroom.

Based off how the entire class was in the front of the room and Makayla was in the back by herself made him think. And he felt bad for Makayla, she actually nice when you got to know her.

But notti was gonna try his hardest to let Makayla know she had a friend by her side.

Makayla put her hands in her pocket as she walked to her locker. And as she was walking to her locker she saw the same lightskin she saw earlier struggling. And badly

Makayla just glanced at dd as he said "fuck" loudly before he banged onto his locker. Makayla then stood infront of her locker before she attempted to open the locker. And she did on the first try.

dd looked at Makayla with a small glare on his face. He thought the girl was taunting him, especially since she didn't offer her help.

"Yo" dd said looking at makayla who looked back at him with a bored look. dd could already tell this interaction wasn't about to go well.

"can you open this for me?" dd asked nicely as Makayla looked him up and down before turning back to her own locker.

dd almost immediately threw his head back in a very apparent mug. He had asked nicely when didn't have to at all. And he had never been disrespected like this before. Now he was pissed off.

"I know you heard me." dd said sassily as Makayla just rolled her eyes before turning to dd annoyed now.

"If I ignored you the first time why are you still talkin?" Makayla said with a stank face as dd just looked at the girl. He didn't know what he was about to do next because he was honestly baffled.

dd then smacked his lips before continuing to look at Makayla. "Yo you disrespectful as fuck, bitch." dd said before turning to makayla who was now taken back a bit.

Makayla let out a laugh before turning around to go back towards her classroom. But dd wasn't done with her just yet.

Makayla was getting a bit farther from dd as she heard him saying all kinds of things. She honestly found it funny how mad he got. Sure she could've helped him with his locker, but she previously struggled with hers so why would she waste her time on somebody else's?

4 HOURS LATER

It was now lunchtime and this was the last thing makayla was looking for—Last year Makayla sat at her brothers table which was filled with the football team and of course..Isaiah.

So Makayla sat at a table all the way at the end by herself. She really didn't like her brother's friends. Like at all..

Makayla grabbed her lunch tray before going over to the table she always sat at as nobody was sitting there. She just rolled her eyes internally before going to sit down.

As Makayla was walking over to the table she noticed there was somebody following her—And she didn't wanna turn around because she had a funny feeling it was the last person she wanted to see. Isaiah

Soon as Makayla sat down she turned around seeing Isaiah who was holding a tray scratchung his head awkwardly. He wasn't expecting Makayla to turn around so abruptly.

Makayla's heart dropped. Even though she expected to see Isaiah she hadn't saw him and so long and everything from that night started replaying in her head.

"Hi maka-get the fuck out my face bro." Makayla said cutting him off almost immediately as she felt her eyes watering—Why would he even have the audacity to speak to her? Makayla really didn't want to show Isaiah he still had so much power over her.

"Makayla just list- leave me the fuck alone Isaiah!" Makayla yelled loudly as the whole cafeteria was now looking at them.

Makayla then stood up from the lunch table as she looked at Isaiah with hurt spread all over her face. She really didn't know why he attempted to talk to her like she just up and forgot the whole situation. It made her mad

Makayla then walked past him before she bumped shoulders with him hardly causing him to drop the tray on himself.

Now Isaiah was standing there as the whole cafeteria was instigating—He just threw his head back groaning before going to the bathroom so he could clean himself up.

The boys had just walked into the cafeteria as they saw all eyes looking at two people. Notti squinted his eyes trying to see the commotion as he saw Makayla sitting down and a boy hovering over her.

Notti, dd, and ddot just watched as Makayla bumped shoulders with the guy before leaving right past them out of the cafeteria.

Notti turned around quickly as he went to follow Makayla while dd and ddot was just watching.

dd looked at his brother who had just left the cafeteria following the girl—He was mad confused as to why notti was following her.

Ddot just shook his head before pointing to the table with Dontae as they started walking over to them.

"Yooo" ddot said dabbing up Dontae as dd did the same. Dontae stood up hugging them both before he pointed to three empty spots he left for them.

The table was looking at dd and ddot mad confused. They didn't know who the two were—and why was Dontae so friendly to them? Dontae was never friendly to just anybody.

"Sit down, we wasn't talkin about nothin." Dontae said as dd and ddot nodded. They then started a conversation talking about the party on Saturday.

Notti walked over to the empty classroom he saw makayla go into. He noticed the girl was sitting onto the counter slowly wiping her eyes.

Notti knocked onto the door as he went in seeing makayla quickly trying to gather herself so whoever was at the door couldn't see she was crying.

"Makayla?" Notti said gently as Makayla stopped moving—She didn't know who she expected to be at the door—but she definitely wasn't expecting notti.

Makayla was wondering why he was so friendly towards her.

Notti then turned the corner seeing Makayla looking at him. He walked up to her as he sat right beside her.

"You good?" Notti asked as Makayla look at the ground before she slowly nodded.

"I'm good." Makayla said softly before she looked at notti. But notti knew she was lying, so he wrapped his arms around Makayla as he embraced her—And Makayla hugged back—She really needed a hug, and it hurt her that her own brother couldn't even be the one to hug her and notice anything was wrong.

Makayla relaxed from notti's hold. He smelled good aswell so she felt even more comfortable.

After a couple of seconds they both pulled away before notti pulled his phone out—He then went to iMessage as he had the contact pulled up.

"We friends now, you can talk to me about shit and I'll listen, swear." Notti said as Makayla just looked at him. She couldn't tell if he was being genuine.

"Thank you." Makayla said as she grabbed notti's phone putting her number in. She couldn't even think—but she knew she was gonna appreciate notti.

"I appreciate it, and I'm a bit embarrassed you saw that." Makayla said as notti let out a laugh.

"Ion know what happened, but I know he was embarrassed." Notti said as Makayla laughed aswell.

Notti felt bad for Makayla, he wanted to be her friend as nobody else wanted to be—The girl was just misunderstood and he could tell—So he would do everything in his power to make her feel included—The girl was gonna be his new friend. And he would made sure of it.
