Chapter 1534
âAbsolutely!â Veronica exclaimed. âThat Bartlett has been eyeing my sister-in-law like a fresh apple
pie out of the oven. It's infuriating!â
âMy uncle's been MIA for three years now. We have to consider what's best for Ellinor. Bartlett is a
good guy who clearly has feelings for her. Most importantly, he doesnât mind that she has a child.
That alone puts him ahead of most men. If Ellinor is open to exploring a relationship with Bartlett, I
wouldn't be opposed to it.â
Veronica scoffed. âWell, good for you, but I'm against it!"
Belinda, busy with her therapy, didn't have time to deal with Veronica's drama. âWhether you
oppose it or not doesn't really factor in. It's all up to Ellinor. Anyway, I have to go; there's work to be
done.â
With that, Belinda quickly ended the call.
âHey... hey!? Damn it!" Veronica, hearing the busy signal on the other end of the line, could only
hang up and grudgingly head out to fly kites with Baber and Layla.
Greenhaven Hotel.
In the Presidential Suite, Marcus was in the living room watching cartoons with his son.
Sophia was making coffee in the kitchen, her eyes occasionally drifting to the man and child in the
living room.
Some fruit was delivered from the hotel's room service. Sophia brought it over to Marcus and their
son.
The cartoon playing on the TV was one that Tristan had never seen before. Sophia, curious, speared
a piece of cantaloupe with her fork and offered it to âTristan.â
âTristan, why the sudden interest in this cartoon? Weren't you all about Super Robots and Iron
Giants before?â
Distracted, Tristanâ turned to give Sophia an annoyed look. âI got bored of those. Can't I switch it up
a bit?â
Caught off guard by Tristanâs irritated response, Sophia almost lost her composure. âOf course you
can, sweetheart. I was just curious, that's all
Ignoring Sophia's attempt to feed him fruit, âTristanâ turned back to the TV.
Sophia gritted her teeth subtly. She picked up a toy from the toy box and casually asked, âTristan,
do you remember who bought you this toy?â
Tristanâ glanced at the toy. He was visibly annoyed. âObviously, you did!"
Who else could it be? Handsome Dad can't go out!
Just as Sophia was about to say something else, Marcus interrupted her. âAlright, let him watch his
show. Don't meddle him.â
Sophia looked over at-Marcus. âMarcus, I'm just worried that Tristan is watching too much TV. It's
not good for his eyes.â
Marcus calmly responded. âHe won't watch for too long. He promised me that he would take a
break after this episode.â
Sophia felt a hint of embarrassment.
But then again, how could caring for a child be considered meddling? She was the lady of the
house.
After pondering for a moment, Sophia moved closer to Marcus and whispered, âMarcus, I'm starting
to suspect that Tristan is behaving differently. Have you noticed anything?â
Upon hearing this, Marcus looked at Sophia, his gaze deep and complex. He glanced at their son.
âI don't see any difference. I haven't noticed anything.â
