“I got something for us,” Finn says with a grin, his hands behind his back holding I don’t know what.

We’re at Finn’s penthouse where I’m spending Christmas Eve. Rose is with her dad and Ryan thinks I’m spending Christmas Eve with them.

I eye him suspiciously from my place on his bed, “should I be scared?”

“Of course not,”

“What are you holding then?”

His grin widens and he finally brings his hand in front which are holding two christmas sweaters.

Matching Christmas sweaters.

“Ta dah!” he says, “aren’t they beautiful?”

I can’t help but let out a small laugh, “you bought Christmas sweaters,”

“Nope. Matching christmas sweaters,” he corrects.

I chuckle, “why?”

“What do you mean why? We’re a couple. Couples do matching stuff all the time,”

I stare at him.

This man.

“You’re adorable,” I say, an easy grin plastered on my face.

“Thank you.” Finn says, proudly then sits beside me, “so, are we changing?”

“Yes,”

Finn’s eyes shine with joy at my reply and my heart fills with affection at the notice.

As soon as Finn sits beside me, I kiss him.

He seems shocked at first at my sudden act but then he quickly regains himself and kisses back, effortlessly pulling me into his lap.

My smile widens through the kiss as I feel his arms wrap around my waist.

I place my hands on his face as I pull away from the kiss.

He blinks then smiles, “my, my, what was that for, amore?”

“No reason,” I say with a grin.

He just looked so precious.

He chuckles, the sound making my heart flutter.

We change into the sweaters Finn bought and I make him take pictures with me.

“Do you want to bake?” Finn asks after we finish taking pictures.

I smile, “did you buy something?”

“Yes. I told you I went shopping,” He says.

He did in fact tell me that. He even brought decorations so we could decorate the tree together.

“So what if we can’t go out together? There are plenty of things we can do inside including my personal favorite,” Finn had said when he brought out the decorations.

I hit his arm when he smirked at his last sentence but none of us could ignore my flushed cheeks.

“We should’ve decorated the tree wearing these,” Finn says as we head downstairs into the kitchen.

“We’ll take pictures,” I suggest, grinning.

Finn smiles and pulls out all the ingredients to make cookies. I quickly walk around the kitchen and pull out mixing bowls, measuring cups and cookie cutters.

“You bought new bowls,” I say, placing them on the counter.

“I did.” Finn says, “How’d you guess?”

“You only had one small bowl before. You have three now, all in different sizes.” I say, “you also bought measuring cups, you didn’t have them before and cookie cutters and icing. You also restocked your fridge with drinks and water bottles,”

I look back at Finn to find him looking at me, unblinking.

“What?”

“A-plus,” he says, “I forgot the things I bought,”

“You look overly impressed,’

“I am impressed.” Finn says, “you know more than I do about what I have,”

My cheeks flush, “you told me to make myself feel at home so I did,”

He stares at me for a moment then slowly, a beautiful smile takes over his lips. He leans in and places a soft kiss over my lips.

“You’re so precious,” he whispers against my lips before pulling away.

The longer he stares at me with his smile, the warmer my cheeks get.

I turn my head away, “stop looking at me like that.”

“Like what?”

“I-I don’t know,”

“Huh?”

I hit his arm, “shut up!”

“Wh- I didn’t say anything!”

I bury my face into my hands.

What is happening to me?

ᯓᡣ𐭩

After we finish baking and decorating our cookies- without anything going wrong. I make hot chocolate then we take both things over into the living area to enjoy.

We place our mugs and plate of cookies on the coffee table and plop on the couch. I smile at the sight of our Christmas tree by the corner.

Our Christmas tree.

We decorated it together.

“What are you thinking, amore?” Finn’s question brings me out of my thoughts as he takes a bite of the cookie.

“I was just admiring the tree,” I say, “it looks so pretty,”

“It does. And these cookies are amazing,” he says.

“Really?” I quickly take one and bite it. I let out a satisfied hum as the sweet taste explodes in my mouth, “oh yeah, this is really good,”

“All thanks to your hard work,”

“Thank you, thank you. My boyfriend helped me,”

“What a gentleman he is,”

“Indeed,”

Finn chuckles and I grin. I put on a Christmas movie for us to watch while we finish our food and drinks. Finn brings out a blanket and drapes it over our lap. He puts his arm around my shoulder and I snuggle close to his warmth.

I let out a soft sigh at the cozy and perfect atmosphere of the penthouse.

We stay snuggled on the couch watching the movie after finishing our food. Finn caresses my cheek every now and then and I try not to focus on the fact how my body reacts to such a simple touch.

After a while, I look over at the clock and find out it’s midnight.

A smile takes over my lips, “It’s midnight,”

“What?”

I quickly get up from the couch, “it’s midnight. I get to give you my Christmas gift now,” I say, excitement bubbling through my body, “wait here,”

“Yes ma’am,”

I quickly rush upstairs to his room and grab his gift bag that I hid in his closet when I came.

Since we can't exchange gifts properly at the Christmas dinner because Ryan will be present there. We decided we'll do it at midnight, when Christmas starts.

I go back downstairs and quickly hand the bag to him, not being able to hide my excitement.

“Here you go,”

He smiles, taking the bag, “thank you, amore,”

“Open it,” I pause the movie and sit beside him as he opens his gift.

I couldn’t decide what to give him so I bought three things. A sweatshirt, a watch and a beanie- I bought it only so I could take pictures of him wearing it.

“Oh, my God,” Finn says, pulling out the items, “these are amazing,”

“Do you like them? Don’t lie to me, Finn”

He chuckles, “I'm not lying, amore,” he says then turns his head to me, “I love all of this.” he leans in and kisses me softly, “thank you so much,”

I smile as he pulls away, “you’re welcome.”

“My turn,” Finn says and pulls out a white box from under the couch.

“Impressive hiding spot,” I comment.

He grins, “thank you,” he says, handing me the box, “Merry Christmas, amore,”

I smile and open the box, my stomach rolling with anticipation.

As I open the box, I find three items in it, a scented candle, another small white box and a shirt.

I pull out the shirt and hold it up to find ‘Best Girlfriend In The World' written on it.

A small laugh leaves my mouth at the message, “why am I not surprised?”

“I couldn't help it. It states the truth,” Finn says.

I put down the shirt and kiss Finn’s cheeks, “have I told you that you're adorable?”

“Yes but I wouldn't mind if you told me again,” he says, grinning.

I chuckle and peck his lips.

“Open the other box, amore,” he tells me.

“Oh, right,” I turn back to the box and pick up the small box placed inside. Finn removes the main box from my lap as I open the other one.

My lips part as I unravel what's inside.

A gold necklace rests inside with ‘amore’ written on it with cursive. The nickname shines as light hits on it.

Oh, my God...

“Amore?”

I turn my head towards Finn, my eyes locking with his as he gently caresses my cheek.

“Are you still here?” He asks and I realize I haven't uttered a word.

“It's so beautiful,” I blurt out, showing him the necklace as if he hasn't already seen it.

He chuckles, “do you like it?”

“Yes! How can I not?” I say.

He smiles, soft and genuine and softly says, “that's all that matters,”

I stare at him for a moment before he leans in and captures my lips in a soft kiss, his hand cupping my cheek.

I let myself melt into the kiss as I kiss back, gripping his shirt.

I am falling for this man more and more everyday and I don't know for how long I can keep it inside me.

I want the world to know he's mine.

And I'm his.
