Third person point of view
Leo saw that Luke has been bringing files home and even going through them at home. It was rare. Even at peak times, he would never do that. Leo wanted to ask about it, but he didn't want to interfere with Luke's work. So he didn't ask about it. He didn't have a clue about the things happening behind him.
Luke was having meetings back to back almost the whole day, for the past few days. He was signing with different companies. It didn't matter what it was, he was going to do it. Even if not all, a few. Some companies were already partners, so he convinced them without any deals. They went back to sign up with Leo. For other few, he had to do a few projects. Even though they were of no profit, they are definitely not a loss. So he didn't mind it.
It was the day he was going to tell Leo. Ken entered the office and saw Luke packing up. " You are telling him ? " Luke took a deep breath and nodded. " All the best ". Ken patted Luke's shoulder. Luke smiled and walked out. He wanted to buy a few things and went around different stores buying all the things.
He checked once again before leaving to make sure he had everything. He went to the house and changed his clothing. He wore something more comfortable. He decided to start with the work. There was a room on the terrace with glass roof and one side of the room was also made of glass. It also has a bathroom attached to the room.
The room had a beautiful view of the sky. Luke took a deep breath and started with the work. He started with the balloons as the first step. He started sticking them to the walls and left a few on the floor. He put the petals on the floor. He also prepared a bouquet of roses. He then put the candles in the places he wanted to. He printed out a few pictures which he stuck on one of the walls, in the shape of a heart.
He also put candles in the shape of heart on the floor below the pictures and filled petals in between the candles. He also put a card on them. He was satisfied with his work. He knew Leo will not come home early like he used to before. Luke went down to start cooking. He cooked Leo's favorite dishes. After finishing everything, he went to take a shower. He chose a long sleeved t-shirt and jeans.
He carefully styled his hair without leaving it as a mess. He then heated the dishes and took them to the terrace. He made sure they are going to be hot. He arranged a small table, which can be used to eat while sitting on the floor. He then started lighting the candles since he knew Leo will come in some time. He was lighting the ones in the heart shape and felt his phone ring in his pocket. He picked it up to see the caller id. And it was Leo.
" Hello ". " Hey ". Luke answered feeling a little nervous. " You are not home yet ? " Leo asked looking around the house. Luke didn't know what to say. " Ummm.........for now I will not say anything. Do me a favor ". Leo was suspicious. " What is it ? " " Go to our room and take a shower ". Leo chuckled. " You call that a favor ? " Luke was impatient and anxious. " Just do it. Once you are done, call me. Okay ? " Leo was trying to guess what was happening.
" What is this ? What are you doing ? And where are you ? " " I will not answer anything now. Just do it ". He hung up. Leo was confused and shook his head. He decided to do it anyway. He finished his bath and wore sweat pants with an over sized t-shirt. He called Luke. " I am done. What should I do now ? " " Go to the terrace ". " What ? " Leo was totally confused by now. " Just go ". Leo sighed. " Okay. Okay. I will ".
He put his phone in his pocket and walked up the stairs. Luke checked around once again to see if everything was fine. He was fiddling with his fingers because he was nervous. He heard footsteps and since it was dark, the room lit up with the candles looked really beautiful. It was a magnificent sight. Leo gaped at it as it came into his view. They knew about the room, but never really felt like it or had the time, so they've never been to this room. Leo walked towards the room and saw Luke standing inside.
Luke turned around when he heard the door open. Leo quickly closed it, because he didn't want the candles to go off. Luke was standing there, while Leo was surprised and his eyes were shining in the candle light. Leo walked in slowly and saw the petals and the table and the set up was just simple, cute and romantic. He was smiling as he looked around. He chuckled looking at his attire.
" You should have asked me to where something nice as well ". Luke chuckled. " It is fine. It is important that you are comfortable ". Leo felt a slight blush on his cheeks. " So, what is all of this for ? " Luke took Leo's hand and stood him in front of the wall with the pictures. Leo was looking at them with a smile. He then looked down at the candles and petals. He bent down and carefully picked up the card. He turned to Luke, who was beside him and Luke nodded. Leo opened the card and read it.
Leo gasped at those words. From the handwriting, he could say Luke wrote it. Leo turned around to find Luke standing with a bouquet. Leo's eyes went wide and his heart was racing with anticipation. If it is what he thinks it is, then he was more than surprised. " Your name is more than just a word to me, you are more than just a person in my life, your being is more than just a part of my life ". Luke said this and moved forward with every sentence.
Now he was standing in front of Leo. Leo was looking Luke's eyes which were sparkling. Leo giggled. " Where did you get all these cheesy lines from ? " Luke scratched his head feeling nervous and a little shy. Leo knew Luke's demeanor basically screams confidence, but today he was seeing him nervous and squirmy. He found it cute. " Cute ". Leo said smiling from ear to ear. Luke blushed. " They might be cheesy, but they are what I feel ". Leo stared right at Luke's eyes, which were staring back at his.
" I know I acted like a jerk when we first met, but then many things happened. I would have never imagined that I would be married to you. Maybe since the start, a part of me might have liked you. And then we somehow we started getting along well ". Luke laughed lightly. " I myself don't know, when, why or how I fell for you. By the time I myself realized it after I fell so hard that my 206 bones broke into pieces and became 412 ". They both laughed.
" But then, it is the truth. I was waiting to tell and prepared all these. I don't know what your reaction is going to be or if you like it or not. And besides all these, you know me pretty well, but I will still tell you. I can get pretty jealous and has a bad temper at times and I tend to argue a lot. You know these, but still. What else ? I think you know about my habits, likes and dislikes. Almost everything about me. So yeah, that is me. Putting these things aside, I don't know if the promises I made during our wedding were wholehearted. But if you ask me to do it now, it is surely from my heart and all my soul. I will be there with you and walk with you till the end. I am holding this for too long this is for you ". Luke gave the bouquet to Leo. Leo took it with a smile.

CTTRO for the song and video. I liked the meaning and thought it would go well with the kind of scenario and put it there. I kind of contemplated between the song called ' Eyes off you ' by Pretty much and this. My sibling kept saying that ' Eyes off you ' was better. ð But I think this was more apt and even my BR said the same as me. So at the end I put this. Do listen to the other song too. It is really good. ð Besides that there are so many love songs that have wonderful lyrics, music and everything just screams love. ð
Not that I have anything against the other song. They have the kind of difference which is between long lasting love and fresh love or love at first sight. If ' 2U ' is about long lasting love, ' eyes off you ' is fresh love. So I had to go for ' 2U '. So.......... yeah. ð
